    Since cutting out my “sensitive foods” my gastric problems have disappeared. I was told by my gp that I had IBS, now I have normal bowel movements and no longer running to the loo. I understand where you’re coming from but my test has helped me and my every day life. Good job the test was on sale 😂

      me too, life is much better now. No reflux, nausea, floating, cramps, undigested food for 7+ hours! I only wish someone told me that "food sensitivity" exists.Colonoscopy, endoscopy, they did everything. It was not an allergy but food sensitivity. Since my childhood. I've cut them and my life standard has changed. I'm omni btw. And my diet is still very rich (I mean of course whole foods, I can't eat processed foods) . Every body is different.

    I'm so confused now. My functional provider had me take the food sensitivity test. It showed high levels of IgG response to all dairy except camel milk and eggs, along with things like watermelon and honey. She had me eliminate these foods based on the results and begin probiotics, prebiotics, and a GI detox to take care of H. Pylori, strep, staph, and to balance my gut bacteria. She said that the goal is to get my stomach to heal and produce digestive enzymes again so i can add those foods back.
    If IgG is a memory response that indicates a better tolerance, why didn't I get high levels for things like chicken or beef, and other foods that are staples of my diet like rice?

      We can’t believe everything we hear on UA-cam, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. If you noticing somethings, not right after you eat something, there’s nothing wrong with taking this food sensitivity test if it’s helping you educate yourself about your nutrition so I’ll be at do it. I believe the test is $75 or $100 so I don’t feel like that a huge financial issue, and if you really want to learn about your health, I would recommend doing a DNA wellness test. DNA doesn’t lie.

      The problem is that food sensitivity tests are not helpful. They don’t reflect food sensitivity at all and end up causing folks to avoid eating a lot of foods that would otherwise be okay, leading to nutrient deficiencies and psychological stress around particular foods. Educating oneself is great, but it should be from credible sources of information.

    I do an intolerance test every 6 months, it tells me what vitamins to take, what food additives to avoid, what foods to avoid and what non edible things to stay away from like metals, tree bark, ect... It has changed my life. Before this I felt sick all the time, like I was having a constant gall bladder attack, doctors did nothing but suggested getting my gall bladder taken out, glad I didn't do that! Pro biotics and digestive aids and several other supplements, vitamins and minerals have me feeling way better. The foods to avoid I just cut out for a bit or cut back and not have as often. The biggest problem are the food additives. I hope they don't shut this down.

    This is interesting, though I'm not a fan of leaning away from something because "it leads to unhealthy behaviors". Human reaction to data shouldn't be a consideration for the data. I think they might be a decent indicator to get leads of foods to at least experiment with to see if there actually is an inflamation. I'm not sure if these tests should be -banned-, but maybe should not be labeled as a "allergy test" and should be required to disclose the details of what they actually do.

    Could you explain why the body would be producing anti-bodies to certain foods and not others? And could you explain why you think that the fact that we have an immune response to certain foods is not damaging for the overall health?

    • @VictoriaDorsano
      @VictoriaDorsano  Рік тому

      Hi! IgG antibodies are memory antibodies. So your body may mount more of a memory response to certain foods than others due to exposure over a lifetime. Everyone's immune system reacts differently. And having an immune response isn't always a sign of something bad happening or something harmful to your health. Our immune system does SO much! It helps us recognize things, protect from things, and run more efficiently (and WAY more than all that too). There are so many different types of immune molecules in our bodies that have various tasks - and only some of them being high can mean something is "off" - like in the case of auto-immune issues or chronic inflammation (all due to antibodies OTHER than IgG)

    I had an unexplained chronic itch and drs couldn’t get to the bottom of it, I did a food intolerance test, my IGGs for milk was sky high. Turns out milk was causing the itch. So you are wrong to discount these tests based off clearly dated evidence

    • @VictoriaDorsano
      @VictoriaDorsano  4 місяці тому

      Correlation doesn’t equal causation.
      We’ve got to look at the body of research to determine what is and isn’t effective. The research does NOT support these IgG tests to determine sensitivities.
      In any case, I’m glad you’re feeling better.

    • @MaxPlaysFIFA
      @MaxPlaysFIFA 4 місяці тому +2

      @@VictoriaDorsano well cows milk is 100% triggering an itch yet I don’t have a positive Ige or allergy. Yet I am clearly having an immune response to milk. What else could be behind this other than the high igg?. Correlation does not = causation but I am not some anomaly, these tests get to the bottom of many people’s issues. I actually had these food sensitivity’s develop since contracting Lyme disease however since testing this, I have developed an intolerance for soya also, it now makes me itch too, I will be redoing my food map for the first time in 4 years. Soya was not previously evaluated in it, I suspect it now will be and I will report back if so.

    • @VictoriaDorsano
      @VictoriaDorsano  4 місяці тому

      @MaxPlaysFIFA there are so many reasons that could be leading to the itching that aren’t related to IgG (as an IgG response is not indicative of causing an itching reaction in the body) so these could certainly be correlations in your case - and in the case of many others who point to these tests being the thing that helped them.
      It could be another immunoglobin or immune molecule, for sure- but it’s certainly not IgG as the correct indicator.
      I’m not saying you’re not having an immune reaction. You most certainly could be! But an IgG test isn’t the thing that would be highlighting that correctly (even if you’re showing as having that as a high response).
      Sorry to hear about your Lymes as well. I know that can be quite the journey so my heart goes out to you.
      I highly recommend checking out the unbiased science lymes podcast resource notes. There are unfortunately a lot of predatory practitioners trying to make a buck off of lymes patients and suggesting non-evidence based treatments that can ultimately lead to worse outcomes.
      Hope you get things sorted out in the end and feel better (and less itchy!)

    • @MaxPlaysFIFA
      @MaxPlaysFIFA 4 місяці тому +2

      @@VictoriaDorsano I appreciate your kind replies. However, the evidence on this is not as clear as you make it out to be. I also checked out that podcast regarding Lyme, but I switched it off after they claimed there is no evidence that long-term antibiotics work and that 28 days will kill the Lyme. That is simply false. There is evidence that long-term antibiotics are needed-I have read the studies myself. The narrative they are pushing is dated, misinformed, and completely out of touch with the day-to-day treatment and recovery of chronic Lyme patients. Even her logic is flawed. She claimed 28 days is enough to kill any bacteria and said it makes no sense to use antibiotics longer, yet latent tuberculosis takes 6-9 months on antibiotics to treat, and that’s accepted by everyone. This is a great example of how medical literature can lag behind up-to-date practice and research, which is exactly why you should have a more open mind towards the role of IGGs and food sensitivities, though admittedly, that is a lot more debatable currently. Listen to patients-yes, some things are coincidences, and correlation doesn’t equal causation, but anecdotes do matter, especially when they become a trend.

      @MaxPlaysFIFA i appreciate your response and would actually love to read some of the information you have in regards to Lymes (if you don’t mind sending along- my email is in my UA-cam about section).
      I always want to remain open to testing my biases, even if it’s uncomfortable to do so. And especially when it comes to making sure I’m helping my clients find the most up-to-date resources regarding their conditions. So thank you for taking the time to share your story and perspective. Sincerely!
      I would definitely encourage you to keep listening to both parts of that episode and diving into her blog to explore more about why that may be her stance. She generally is incredibly up to date on her research. And she often will correct her misinfo on her blog or show notes when she misspeaks (as it happens when you’re in media and the public eye from time to time).
      I often find that when I have a visceral response to tune out information, there’s an emotional trigger there that may be preventing me from testing my bias. That’s the only reason I suggest re-listening thoroughly. You seem like you’re a really sincere and respectable person that would want to understand all sides of someone’s perspective before shutting it down.

    Ok, so IGg tests are also used as a marker for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. Having a high IGg can be a sign of said issues…. So how is it normal to have high IGg when eating certain foods. Wouldn’t mean those foods are creating an immune response in your body, thus your body isn’t reacting to that food normally?? Why would they use it for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases if high is normal..?

    • @VictoriaDorsano
      @VictoriaDorsano  2 місяці тому

      You’d actually get something called an ANA test for most autoimmune issues! So IgG isn’t recommended as a diagnostic tool for this. It’s not specific enough. So if anyone is suspicious of an autoimmune issue, you can ask your doctor for an Autoimmune panel which includes ANA, rheumatoid factor, etc…but typically not an IgG test alone. You might be thinking of immunoglobulin test panels, which can be used to test for healthy or overactive immune system, but it’s a very general test that looks at ALL Ig types and isn’t reliant on IgG to make a definitive diagnosis.

Apparently I’m allergic to peaches and peach is one of my least favorite fruits. The last time I ate a peach was in 2019, I just don’t care for peaches. It also said I’m allergic to tuna and the last time I ate tuna was summer of 2023 but I only had it once. Whey was another one as well and I haven’t had anything with whey since 2021!!! I just no longer eat anymore protein shakes and bars or meal replacements cuz that stuff got so much sugar. Even before 2021, never had protein shakes, bars and meal replacements. I just started to take them for a few months during 2021. I’ve always thought that I’m allergic to eggs cuz I always get nauseous from the smell of it, so I don’t even eat eggs but apparently I’m not allergic to eggs 😂😂😂 like just the smell of eggs makes me want to throw up and it gives me a headache! also says im allergic to beef and man I stopped eating beef for 11yrs cuz people were saying that red meat is bad for you and I started eating it again late 2022 and I even noticed a healthy difference. I just feel happier and have more energy but apparently I’m “allergic” 😂😂😂 my doctor who does my colon hydrotherapy told me that I must be allergic to watermelon and I stopped eating watermelon late July of 2023 and it says that I’m not allergic to watermelon😂😂😂 I’m also “allergic” to chicken and man I love me some chicken, specially fresh organic chicken. such bs of these test. Hey so at 4:30 you mention that IgG is a marker of memory and high IgG levels are a response to your body being familiar with that particular food. So are you saying that the more I eat food in a particular time frame, the more intolerance test would should higher levels of IgG?

    • @VictoriaDorsano
      @VictoriaDorsano  Рік тому +1

      It doesn’t always work in a quantitative fashion like that, but to some degree that can be the case. Think of IgG as a memory antibody - so it’s presence just means that your body remembers that you’ve been exposed to that food before in some capacity. But it has nothing to do with creating an immune response

    Unfortunately it is not that easy as you proposed in your video. Most IgG sensitivity tests are not valid but there are a few on the market that are sensitive and specific to real world’s antigens found in our environment. And yes a certain level of IgG on valid scientific tests make a big difference in the health of people with autoimmune conditions if used in the contest of healing paradigm of skilled immunologists.
    One thing you said right- yes, the patient should not remove all foods that he is sensitive to (at least, not indefinitely). IgG sensitivity to foods makes an immunologist think about other root causes leading to sensitivity like gut permeability or non-healed /reactivated infections to name a few.

    Can you explain then why I would have high sensitivity markers to foods that I don't like or don't eat at all or have never tried? Because, if I've never eaten it before then my body would have no memory of it correct??

    • @VictoriaDorsano
      @VictoriaDorsano  Рік тому +1

      Happy to explain! This could be due to something called "cross-reactivity". Your body can produce IgG antibodies for foods that are similar to other foods or produced in the same environment. For example, let's say you have a high IgG response to red peppers. But you never eat red peppers. But you do eat tomatoes, and tomatoes are also part of the nightshade family of veggies. So your body may make an IgG antibody that recognizes many veggies in that family.
