Considering the fact that Reed Richards *also* stated that "If [Peter Parker] applied himself more to the sciences, he would be smarter than himself." I'm surprised that Parker wasn't *at least* honorable mention. Especially when he has more intellectual feats than Reed's daughter does. (I think. I could be wrong about that part, though.)
I agree with you he has potential , but do you know one thing with great wisdom comes the ability of being humble and seeing smart people and appreciating their works and even motivating them greatly and also comes the feeling that the person can be greater , so you can see Richards always being humble and down to earth with smart people, I think even this is the way he thought and said about Valerie.

Marvel has rated characters for things like intelligence. Peter Parker is rated at 4 out of 7. He's on par with people like Doctor Strange and Forge. 5 is people like Beast, Black Panther, Mister Sinister. 6 is people like Hank Pym, Goliath, the Leader, Bruce Banner. 7 is a pretty small group. You have to ignore most of what is written in comic books. Most of it is due to bad writing and bad editing. It's hard to actually figure out where a character's abilities actually are. But, Marvel rated their own characters. So, you have to assume they know what they're doing. That being said, there are lots of entries with no ratings at all, and a few that seem to accidentally have all 7 out of 7. And, for some reason Misty Knight is listed with a fighting capability of 6. Above Daredevil and tied with heroes like Iron Fist. So, Daredevil and Iron Fist spent their whole lives just learning to fight. Misty was a normal kid ... and then a cop ... and then did the heroes for hire thing or whatever ... and somehow ... she's just as good as Coleen Wing and Iron Fist and Gamora.
The Systematic Ending it being Peter’s body isn’t important because it was Doc Ock’s mind. Doc Ock is a top tier enemy of Spidey but loses due to his hubris and incompetence. Norman is a great businessman, not a scientific genius.
Otto octavius should be on this list for controlling spiderman's body, beating terrax(herald of galactus), and crushing the avengers with his adamantium tentacles.

I was a bit disappointed that you didn‘t mention the time where Infinity declared Hank Pym to be „the Scientist Supreme“. Now, yes, Hank Pym and Infinity did say that this doesn‘t make him „the smartest person in the Universe“, but it‘s still a cool little fact about him.
I can distinctly remember a comic where Reed was forced to confront his inability to comprehend magic by Victor. It simply didn't make sense to him. If you're judging intelligence by how many different fields of study a given person can master, Victor wins. That being said, Reed has achieved through science things that border on, if not exceed the bounds of, magic.
Doom built a time machine, not Reed. He also "cured" Ben, which Reed couldn't do. The time machine means he is much older (thousands of years) ie more experienced ie (more opportunity to be)smarter than someone approaching a half century in age. Doom has experienced far more than Richards, albeit Richards has more knowledge about aspects of Physics- niches like the negative zone. To me, intelligence includes occult knowledge, and hence tips the scales.

I think you guys missed a big one: The High Evolutionary. Pym, T'challa, Stark, Doom and Richards, should be simply on par with each other. I don't think one is smarter than the other. I think it boils down to what they focus their intelligence on creatively. They could all reverse engineer each other's inventions. Fair enough? I’d put Hank Pym over Tony Stark just because if I remember correctly; one of the Abstracts Eternity, whose also omniscient, named Hank the Scientist Supreme.
The scientist supreme title has always been iffy by just considering Reed or Doom exist. In relation to Tony, he’s shown better feats imo and has defeated Pymtron.
Eternity chose Hank Pym for the title of Scientist Supreme not because he is the smartest, but unlike Richards or Stark who are mostly inovators and inventors, explorers and engineers, Pym's approach to science is similar on how a magician works with magic (the pym particles, the underspace, the macroverse and the overspace, etc) as he seeks to expand the capacity of science until it almost resembles magic in its application..

Personally, I believe Doom is number 1 because he, unlike Richards, was able to find a cure for The Thing. Of course, he only did this to piss Richards off, and took away the cure, but still is smarter in my eyes.
Was expecting minimum of honarable mentions for Peter Parker and Otto Octavious. Also I understand its "human" but Hank McCoy and there was a lack of shuri aswell, not a huge fan of bp so dont know if she is as smart in comics as she is in the films. Also Armadeous cho and the Leader.
In the comics they’ve made Shuri more like her MCU counterpart. I don’t know if it’s been mentioned if she’s currently smarter, but she apparently underwent the same training and is on T’Challa’s level.
The Leader is a smart "normal human" like the Hulk is a strong "normal human". He and MODOK are both unnaturally mutated to the point they are'nt considered (normal) humans anymore. If a natural mutant like Henry McCoy is arguably ineligible for this list, no way guys like them are eligible.
DR. DOOM should be #1. He’s matched nearly ALL of Reed’s intel feats and has MANY he (Reed) can’t come close to matching...like the fact that he (Doom) actually succeeded in taking over the world, ending ALL war, hunger, disease etc.. but eventually gave it back because he got BORED [Yes that’s some real ish] or how he’s the runner up for Sorcerer Supreme, has taken nearly every cosmic level character’s powers or the fact that he saved the multiverse during the incursion event, went on to actually obtain ULTIMATE POWER as god Emperor Doom and built battle world 🌍 or the fact that he’s actually immortal. He learned how to transfer his consciousness into new cloned bodies by an alien race called the Ovoids. How about the fact that Thanos sees him as the only human that can pose potential threat and therefore keeps constant surveillance on him (Doom knows this btw). The list of Doom’s feats of top tier intelligence go on and on... Plus Reed needs his team to win, Doom needs NO ONE.

In fact Doom always seems to beat Reed Richard with many inventions and when there is something cosmic and universe threatening always outdoes Reed and everyone else. however the flaw of many "intelligent super genius'" in comics today is they are written so unrealistically, they are no longer humans who have an amazing specialism in science or tactics or something. They are above what anyone could realistically be ever. One time Reed Richards needed Doc Coks help in Biology/medicine, now he's a master of it as well as all science. They all are and it's just not credible. IMO Reed should be the best engineer and problem solver but have limitations elsewhere for simply not having had the time to study it.Same for other super genius characters. Intelligence isn't simply ranked, it is something you can excel in different ways.

Doc ock should be the best in bio organics. Doom should be just barely behind both Tony and Reed but able to match them through his sorcery. While he doesn’t always shows it Peter Parker should’ve been on the list. At the very least an honourable mention. He just doesn’t gets the time to show off his smarts because of typical Parker luck. Peter's college IQ scores were the same as those posted by Reed Richards at the same age. Peter was also able to hack into Stark Industries system to override Tony Stark's control command over the Iron Spider Armor. He also discovered some energy while working at Parker Industries which is more powerful than the freaking Phoenix force.

Honestly, Dr Doom should be number 1. I base it on the fact that Reed has explicitly stated that he cannot understand or find logical ground behind magic and the mystic whereas Dr Doom is a master. They both pretty much have the same proficiency in the sciences but doom wins due to his mastery of magic.

Well, there's one problem Reed couldn't solve given time: Sue's second pregnancy. Doom however solves this (once she gets in labor again) with no time. Doom has the feats to back up him being #1, that's for sure. Reed, although definitely neck and neck, just lacks the overall proof that he is smarter. He's practically handed that title because he's the good guy. Doom is a master of mystical science, a field that Reed is ill equipped for. Marvel has rated characters for things like intelligence. Peter Parker is rated at 4 out of 7. He's on par with people like Doctor Strange and Forge.
5 is people like Beast, Black Panther, Mister Sinister.
6 is people like Hank Pym, Goliath, the Leader, Bruce Banner.
7 is a pretty small group.
You have to ignore most of what is written in comic books. Most of it is due to bad writing and bad editing. It's hard to actually figure out where a character's abilities actually are. But, Marvel rated their own characters. So, you have to assume they know what they're doing.
That being said, there are lots of entries with no ratings at all, and a few that seem to accidentally have all 7 out of 7. And, for some reason Misty Knight is listed with a fighting capability of 6. Above Daredevil and tied with heroes like Iron Fist. So, Daredevil and Iron Fist spent their whole lives just learning to fight. Misty was a normal kid ... and then a cop ... and then did the heroes for hire thing or whatever ... and somehow ... she's just as good as Coleen Wing and Iron Fist and Gamora.

I can distinctly remember a comic where Reed was forced to confront his inability to comprehend magic by Victor. It simply didn't make sense to him. If you're judging intelligence by how many different fields of study a given person can master, Victor wins. That being said, Reed has achieved through science things that border on, if not exceed the bounds of, magic.
Doom built a time machine, not Reed. He also "cured" Ben, which Reed couldn't do.
The time machine means he is much older (thousands of years) ie more experienced ie (more opportunity to be)smarter than someone approaching a half century in age.
Doom has experienced far more than Richards, albeit Richards has more knowledge about aspects of Physics- niches like the negative zone.
To me, intelligence includes occult knowledge, and hence tips the scales.

I’d put Hank Pym over Tony Stark just because if I remember correctly; one of the Abstracts Eternity, whose also omniscient, named Hank the Scientist Supreme.
The scientist supreme title has always been iffy by just considering Reed or Doom exist.
In relation to Tony, he’s shown better feats imo and has defeated Pymtron.
Eternity chose Hank Pym for the title of Scientist Supreme not because he is the smartest, but unlike Richards or Stark who are mostly inovators and inventors, explorers and engineers, Pym's approach to science is similar on how a magician works with magic (the pym particles, the underspace, the macroverse and the overspace, etc) as he seeks to expand the capacity of science until it almost resembles magic in its application..

however the flaw of many "intelligent super genius'" in comics today is they are written so unrealistically, they are no longer humans who have an amazing specialism in science or tactics or something. They are above what anyone could realistically be ever. One time Reed Richards needed Doc Coks help in Biology/medicine, now he's a master of it as well as all science. They all are and it's just not credible.
IMO Reed should be the best engineer and problem solver but have limitations elsewhere for simply not having had the time to study it.Same for other super genius characters. Intelligence isn't simply ranked, it is something you can excel in different ways.

While he doesn’t always shows it Peter Parker should’ve been on the list. At the very least an honourable mention. He just doesn’t gets the time to show off his smarts because of typical Parker luck. Peter's college IQ scores were the same as those posted by Reed Richards at the same age. Peter was also able to hack into Stark Industries system to override Tony Stark's control command over the Iron Spider Armor. He also discovered some energy while working at Parker Industries which is more powerful than the freaking Phoenix force.

Doom has the feats to back up him being #1, that's for sure. Reed, although definitely neck and neck, just lacks the overall proof that he is smarter. He's practically handed that title because he's the good guy. Doom is a master of mystical science, a field that Reed is ill equipped for.
