My legs are more sore after one round of this video then when I do 50 squats with 30lbs weight on the bar. Wild.
Yes! Ballet calls on the “assistive” muscles as much as the larger muscles, so your soreness is probably related to those smaller muscles getting awakened with these movements. And there’s no way around how much ballet strengthens and tones the ankles and calves in addition to the upper legs, especially the inner thighs and backs of the legs. It really is very effective! 🥰🩰🌸
You're super inspiring and motivating
Thank you so much! I'm glad you've begun ballet and that you're enjoying my videos!
I am a absolute beginner and have been trying your exercises once awhile to peek to see whether I would be able to mimic some ballet movements, and I always enjoy your videos. Today I was feeling a little down and I wanted to cheer up myself, so I started your videos, then I reached this one! I was smiling for the entire exercise and now I feel like myself and feeling good and happy. Thank you so much for creating these videos 💗
Oh, I am so happy to hear you are feeling good and happy from doing some ballet! That’s the “pointe” of it all! Ballet always brings a smile to my heart, and sharing this possibility for others to discover and feel in their own hearts is such JOY! Thank you for your message! You have made my heart joyful, too! 🙏🥰🩰🌸
I've been doing this routine almost everyday for the past 2 weeks. It's still challenging but already feeling strongerl. And it's so therapeutic for an achy back and toes. But the best part is how much joy your routines bring. Like being a little girl again. ❤
Yay! I’m so glad you’re feeling the benefits! And I’m especially glad that you’re feeling the JOY!!! 👏🏻👏🏻🩰🥰
Thanks..Ms.. Tikka!!

Tiekka you are an excellent teacher, beautiful, I love your voice and words in time with the music. I love your beautiful outfits and your graceful manner. Truly professional ❤️
Thank you for your kind words. I’m am happy that you enjoy my videos! 🙏✨🩰
I created a basics mini play list with this, ballerina arms and posture (the Swan), and ballerina core and posture workouts. :D
That will really wake up your posture, core, and legs! Excellent idea!🥰🩰🌸
I couldn't concentrate at first because I looove the music so much. And then I was smiling the whole way through. Love the Strausses and this workout hihi
Music makes all the difference! I find the “work” in workout disappears with inspiring music, and then I’m just so happy moving and enjoying it! I’m delighted you love the music and that you were smiling while doing the exercise! That’s the most wonderful and important part! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥰🩰🙏🌸

🙏😘-this one is a real calf burner! 🔥💕
This was really helpful....i m a complete beginner n these r alot helpful..merci😃
I'm so glad! Thanks for watching! :-D
Thank you so beautiful ❤🦋🌈
You’re so welcome! 🙏🩰✨
Wow challenging is a very accurate word.
Yes it is!! Interestingly, ballet technique intensifies the more correctly you do it. For a sequence like this one, the burn starts with the calves (as you’d expect). Over time and with better form, that ballet burn happens in the “thutt” & inner thighs with noticeable engagement also in the back & core. It’s like layers of sensation to discover! 😊✨🌸🩰
@@everydayballet oh wow thank you! You’re always so detailed. I just love that so much. For once I just get the information upfront instead of wondering and researching later.
🙏💖🩰
I love your videos! I've wanted to do ballet ever since I was a kid and it never happened. Until now. :) With the workouts and the classical music, it feels like I'm actually dancing. Thank you so much for putting these videos together! Oh, and I was wondering - how should stretch out my feet? After the relevés , my feet are so sore. Thank you again for all you do!!
So glad you’ve found ballet again and that you’re enjoying the videos! Now’s a great time to start because you’re connecting with something you’ve wanted all these years. Brava! And I’ll make a video with some simple foot stretching-great suggestion! 😊🙏🩰🌸
Perfect no words for your excellency. But pls do that long jump video
Thank you! What do you mean by "long jump" exactly? I'd love to know--I'm always making videos so it would be good to understand what you're asking for. Thanks for watching! :-D
@@everydayballet I am talking about something there is a long jump in every ballet dance at end..but I do not know the name sorry
Doing rhis everyday for the rest of my life hahaha
👏🏻😊🩰
That's totally genius I like the idea of the Radetsky March as as a practice
💗 that you know the Radetsky March! 😀
@@everydayballet yes indeed. It's a good thing I also learn about classical music which expands my appreciation for ballet
Absolutely! The music is such a vital part! 🥰
Hi, again! I’ve been absent for a while but I think I can come back to practice again. My legs have gotten swollen and it was painful. I hope to fight that from coming back with some ballet exercises. I hope you have been well. 😊❤
Sorry to hear you had leg issues-I hope you feel better. Welcome back to ballet 🤗🥰🩰
@@everydayballet Thank you! 🤗 I feel better, yes. And being back feels good. 🌸
Young men, stuff like this isn’t only for girls, if you want to do kicks like Hisoka, Garou, Suiryu or Yujiro you need to do these things too
LOVE this!!! It’s absolutely true! In fact, football teams have ballet programs because ballet makes ANYONE a better athlete! Whether you want better strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, or balance-ballet does it all! THANK YOU for this insightful comment! 🙏👏👏🎉
I've been doing this every day now, right after the foot conditioning lying on the floor. As part of my dream of getting on pointe. I never get to do this in my regular ballet classes. Praying I've found the missing piece.
These exercises will certainly help as part of a ballet training program. Stay diligent and steady in your practice-so much is possible with practice! 🥰✨🩰🌸
Hi, I just returned to ballet and I have big problem, I keep losing my turnout as I do eleve and releve. I didn't force my turnout and always try to do natural turnout from the hips, but everytime I do eleve-releve I will get down with very bad turn out, is it because I don't have enough strength yet? I started ballet again last month, last time I did ballet was when I was 7 so now I'm still working on my middle and front split too.
It takes time to develop the strength and muscle coordination to maintain turnout throughout your movements. What’s important is not the degree of your turnout, but rather that you are using proper muscles and good alignment. In plié make sure your knees remain opened out over the toes. When you go up in relevé try to stand down through the 2nd toe and tuck the heels forward (without adjusting/stepping the feet). With practice your turnout stamina will improve. Hope this helps! 🥰🩰✨
What videos exercises do you recommend to do everyday for beginners or what videos do to how many times a week?
The exercise schedule depends on the individual. As a general rule, revisit exercises 3-4 times per week. My Core & Posture video is great for every day. But the longer videos are 2-5 per week, always being mindful of your needs and listening to your body as you go. Hope this helps! 🙏✨🩰
@@everydayballet Okei core and posture but the workout videos. Witch videos or playlist is good for beginners to practice frequently?
Ballet Basics 🩰
@@everydayballet All of them or specific videos? I already watched all of them but I dont know which one to practice 4-3 times a week.
Hi! Is it normal that you heels don’t touch when you are standing in first position?
It sounds like you may have hyper-extended knees that go beyond the typical point of "straight" legs. If this is so, then you'll want to be careful not to lock your knees backwards when standing. You could also have large calf muscles which may make it more difficult or impossible to bring your heels together in first position. These conditions are not a problem; however, you will want to bring the heels as close together as possible and draw up through the knees to prevent locking back. Hope this helps!
@@everydayballet Thank you so much.
What is difference between relev and calf raises?! Anyone pls??
Relevé is a ballet movement that includes specific technique that fits into the broader ballet technique. But yes, they are a more specific kind of calf raise… But whereas calf raises are about developing the calves, the technique of relevé is intended to strengthen, stretch, and refine the feet, ankles, legs, and posture. It’s really so much more than the kind of calf raise you’d do at the gym. 😊 Hope this helps! 🩰
@@everydayballet i have os trigonum so should doing calf raise irritate it or doing relevé will irritate that?
Young men, it’s not only for women, if you wanna kick hard and high and effortless like Hisoka, Baki, Suiryu, Garou, Yujiro, and other martial arts bad a**es you need to do these ballet exercises too
LOVE this!!! It’s absolutely true! In fact, football teams have ballet programs because ballet makes ANYONE a better athlete! Whether you want better strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, or balance-ballet does it all! THANK YOU for this insightful comment! 🙏👏👏🎉
I'm sorry..Ms.tikka!!! I was wrong put you're name...
No worries! 😘🩰✨
