Good video content FYI at 51 years old I quit Smoking after 30 plus years ,surprisingly it was way easier than I thought it would be yeah the first week is hard but after 5 days your body stops feeling like you need one I won’t lie I ate the hellmout of Jelly Beans and Sucking Candies for me it was Mints and Jolly Ranchers now it’s been 6 years and I can smoke one at a Wedding or gathering and not at all feel like Going back to smoking again I’m a retired Woodworker and inmy early 40s I suffered 5 or 6 mini strokes on a operating table that I needed a emergency open heart surgery to repair a Disected Aorta i rehabbed and needed another surgery 7 years later then I had a Major Stroke on that Operating table that paralyzed parts of my left arm and leg I honestly think that Woodworking chemicals and the finishes had something to do with the Strokes yet Doctors say nope and the main cause was a genetic issue that caused the heart problems not even my Smoking had much to do with it ? I just thought I’d pass my quitting experience with you ,best of luck ,thanks for the channel and information
You put the mount arms resting on top of the transom and ive seen people have the arms wrap around the interior of the transom... is this a preference or is there a better way to do it of the two?
Hi I have a 60 Yamaha 2001 I’m looking to transfer over to an older boat. The older boat had an older evinrude with cable stirring (ancient) I’d have to buy basically everything from steering wheel to throttle set up. My question is , anyway you can give me an idea on what parts I’d need and an estimated cost. Currently the motor is on a bass boat and I fish the bay now so I need a more seaworthy boat. Thanks and I appreciate the help. On my bass boat I just see so much wiring under the console so it looks confusing.
One thing that was missed from the beginning is how the engine actually rigs to the tractor chain. Is there a hook on the motor to rig to, or do you need an OEM Yamaha part to connect the tractor or engine hoist chain?
im buying a new yamaha either 115 or 150 hp the dealer wants $1200 to set it up..? (on a 19 foot center console sea hunt) that seems Expensive after watching you set up this outboard -it looks like most connections plug n play -shoiu;ld i be able to do this? --great video you made it look very straightforward thank you sir thumbs up

Great video, for the fuel line connection… do you prefer that style of squeeze fuel line clamp, or a small SS hose clamp?
How did you end up getting the gear to shift rigging a outboard right now and having the same problem where throttle works but can’t get it to shift

Considering how much that all cost, I think I would have added hydraulic steering too.
Oem binnacle control or aftermarket?
Can someone please explain to me why outboards are so expensive? I could buy a car that runs for the price of an average outboard.
