nice video been following as I do rebuild - e clip on accelerator pump did not go on as easy for me. then I just took set screw holding linkage rod in place put pump on and e clip outside of bowl easy peasy. thanks for posting

Rebuilinf mine. Not getting gas out of the bowl into carb. Should accelerator pump be tight or loose when pumping. The one i got is loose and old one is hanging up halfway

No one ever seems to mention proper clocking of the thermostat, theres a tiny dot/indentation on all these thermostats. It seems to me these marks should be oriented at either 6-12 or some other position. Or am i just trippin.?

Is that an angler? 22? Speed?

I think I would be more concerned about where the waters coming from into the fuel

Where are you located in Maine? Im in Southern maine loking for help installaing a 4.3 merc as well as the outdrive..

If you adjust the electric choke cold, adjust it SO THE CHOKE IS IN A 1/3 OPEN POSITION, summer time. 1/3 crank of the throttle and start. Closed it takes too much time for the choke to completely open and idle the engine properly, Adjust for cold weather.

What do you use for part numbers? I bought the Service manual from my Yamahaf150 and doesn't list any, I was disappointed 😔.

I have the same set up but my steering wheel is wobbly. Do you know what causes that?

Very informative video, one thing. I’ve been tinkering with my bf 130 and it seems to have the same setup as the 115. Where the fuel pump is located, there is a high pressure filter under the cap with the 3 screws. I noticed you didn’t change that. Not criticizing, just saying because you said you’re not really a Honda guy. Great video though.

Hi very thankful for your video, I have a 2011 Bayliner 175 with the 3.0 Eng that I have not used in 2 years. I truly be I’ve that gas has clogged in the carb line. Is there any chance to open the line and get rid of the clogged without opening the whole carburetor?

Descent video with good content. Clean up your surroundings. Will help some keep focus on project. Didn't see you put in new high pressure filter. Probably all it needed. Also the isolator under fuel pump will come out easier if you twist it by the bottom.

Did you buy those fittings separately or did they come with your new helm. I'll be replacing mine in the spring and I like those fittings. I'm sure I can get them from West Marine or some other place. Thanks for sharing. Also I already took my steering wheel off when I put my boat away for the winter. I makes it easier when taking the reservoir off. Thanks

Hello, thank you for this nice video! I have exact same engine and had water in oil this last September. On that day, I had a 300 lbs guest and they sat on the boat while ai parked the truck. Removed valve cover and noticed one broken valve spring with a bent push rod. The exhaust flapper was completely gone. Is it possible water came in from the exhaust back into the engine? I removed the head and gasket and spark plugs looked good.

I've owned several and I haven't found any that heat your fingertips. How are these on the fingertips?

I still dont understand why the stock cam has a decompression pin and the hotcams has nothing. Whats the fix? Also how do i know if my chain guard is bad or if the tensioner is bad?

440 ex stage 2 hot cam. Heard a pop and now wont fire. Turns over fine. 1 rocker arm was tight and wouldnt drop on its own. Loosened it. Cam chain is super loose. Guessing the tensioner is bad? 0 starting issues to wont even attempt tk fire

One thing that was missed from the beginning is how the engine actually rigs to the tractor chain. Is there a hook on the motor to rig to, or do you need an OEM Yamaha part to connect the tractor or engine hoist chain?

Really well done and gave me the confidence to tackle! But I do have a question... I was very careful taking apart and putting back together - mine actually very clean EXCEPT for the filter! When I was finished I noticed a 1" round rubber gasket on the floor. I don't recall seeing anything like this when I took apart and your video doesn't show anything like this in the VST. Now worried that I missed something... any feedback?

So been through my BF90 fuel system. New filters, new hp fuel pump,strainer, cleaned out VST, new injectors as could not get one of em to work, and had to really clean tarnish off the brass spade connectors for the hp fuel pump. Looked at and cleaned float needle. Seems low pressure fuel pump is ok. Cleaned out water strainer. Think of anything I missed? Gonna try one more time to start, so far cranks but nothing.

I got a 1990 mercruiser 3.0 and my choke doesnt snap back to closed when i move my throttle. When she cools off with the engine off she will return to closed but nothong on tbe linkage makes the choke want to be forced shut???

on those 135's 2004 - is it common to hear a low rumble sound at idle got FWD/REV? 500 hrs. Not my motor, but one I may purchase . Corrosion causing exhaust to leak by was one persons theory..

I have a water tube clogged by impeller bits, do I have to do all this to clear/replace the water tube? Is there a work around to clear the tube without removing everything? Thanks. Great Video.
