    you did the test wrong. you were testing your internet speed.... noit your network speed. that prism will absolutely be much faster then any router. it runs at 2400mbps and is dedicated to your headset. your wifi 6 will be 1200mbs and wifi6e can be 2400mbs directly infront of you with nothing else on the network. the proper test would be to use vd and look at the network connection speed between your pc and the headset. not the prism and your local internet download speed. completely different things as the prism doesnt even require internet to work.

    That worn battery system sounds nice. I expect my q3 to arrive this week and i've heard the battery is really bad, even with a battery strap. The problem from what i've heard is the fact that it won't charge at full speed while using it, even when connecting it to a usb-c 60w port

      I am going to have a full review of the Carina W1 battery pack that should drop on Wednesday so stay tuned! (≡)-)

    • @HalonaMiller

      The Carina W1 supports a maximum output of 30W, and the Quest 3 USB supports a maximum input of 18W, so it can support full-speed charging for the Quest 3. Beside, this is a battery that you wear on your waist, so it doesn't add extra weight to your head.

    You should have added that it will help solve the issue where people can't run the ethernet cable all the way to their desktop.

    Wouldn't a better test of the S1 be to test it against your router using Virtual Desktop to see what your lag is against the other routers you have?

    • @vrgamerdude
      @vrgamerdude  9 місяців тому +1

      Yeah it probably would have been but I can say that using this with virtual desktop versus my high-end router I noticed very little difference.. most likely because Guy has really done some great work under the hood with VD and it's streaming so smooth now.. especially for Quest 3! (≡)-)

      @@vrgamerdudeI bought one and tested it against my Verizon 6E router and it didn’t perform as good. There were some stutters typical lag time was between 45-60ms with a few times going higher and causing a stutter. My Verizon router (vr dedicated) averages 35-45ms and never causes stutter

    My pc isn't near my router so I can't use ethernet. Will this device help with that?

    • @vrgamerdude
      @vrgamerdude  6 місяців тому

      In that case it should act like any other Wi-Fi extender / repeater but you're still going to need some sort of internet signal to the PC

    • @vrgamerdude
      @vrgamerdude  6 місяців тому +1

      It will definitely give you a dedicated connection for your headset but it won't help to increase your speeds on your PC.. for that I would definitely recommend using the ethernet cable as you will always get better throughput on a hard wire versus a Wi-Fi card

    I need a comparison between PRISMXR Vega T1 and VP 10

    • @HalonaMiller
      @HalonaMiller 9 місяців тому

      Compared to the P10, the Vega T1 produces a louder sound for clearer audio. If needed, the VegaBlast option can further enhance the volume. The Vega T1 dongle supports a maximum of 27W PD pass-through, ensuring full-speed charging for the Quest 2/3.

    what’s the battery charge like on the vega t1? recently bought soundcore p10 so idk which of the two is better xD
    also! im looking to get a dedicated quest 3 pcvr wireless streaming setup, but i don’t plan to use wifi 6e. would it be better for me to get a puppis s1, or get a router such as an asus ax55 ?

    • @vrgamerdude
      @vrgamerdude  9 місяців тому +1

      Right now I'm using my Vega t1s all day at work and I've never had to charge them during that 6 to 8 hour shift.... As for the Puppis S1 you might get slightly faster speeds out of the router but the connection for the Puppis is extremely solid and also portable if you ever need to take it with you.

      Puppis S1 is a dedicated device for PC VR streaming. The average speed I'm getting with VD is around 200 Mbps, which is pretty good.

    • @califpv
      @califpv 8 місяців тому

      I had the P10 sound cores and the charging passthrough would not actually charge, but just slow down the discharge. With the prism T1's passthrough actually charges the Quest 3 and latency is pretty much not noticable.

      @@vrgamerdude so my wifi is to slow?

    • @vrgamerdude
      @vrgamerdude  9 місяців тому

      @@justusdyck2187 It seems a bit slow if it is only 2mbps... but technically it would still work as all this does is take the internet connection from any PC it is connected to and then it creates a new SSId that you can dedicate to your headset but it will still be just as slow as the input source.... If you are currently able to use Airlink on your current WiFi then this will work ,but if not it won't increase your speed. Based on a quick Google search here are the typical speeds for most WiFi connections: Basic Service = 3 to 8 Mbps. Medium Service = 12 to 25 Mbps. Advanced Service = More than 25 Mbps. Mbps (Megabits per second) is the standard measure of broadband speed. for good Airlink or Virtual Desktop connections you will at least need to be in that Medium service range.

    • @HalonaMiller
      @HalonaMiller 9 місяців тому

      Absolutely, it works with Quest 2.
      And sure thing, it can function with your 2mbps wifi. It will not interfere with your PC VR streaming, but will only impact the speed of connection to the external network only.
      The PrismPulse mode in Puppis S1 is specifically designed for PC VR streaming. It sets up a fast lane between your PC and VR headset using a dedicated 5GHz Wi-Fi channel, which can crank up speeds to a whopping 2400Mbps.

    Not a router. It's a wifi dongle using hotspot. It uses the same 5ghz band so it doesn't help your "congestion" fantasy.

    • @vrgamerdude
      @vrgamerdude  8 місяців тому +3

      Nope! I can tell you for a fact that when my kids are both on their game consoles playing multiplayer games and my wife is watching TikTok on my network things slow down significantly and when I'm trying to use airlink or virtual desktop I get lots of stuttering... but with this I don't! It uses the PCs existing network for Internet but has its own tech to create a dedicated connection channel to your headset so thus no interference from other devices.. we're not talking internet speed here we're talking network congestion which when nothing else is connected to this channel achieves exactly what I said! (≡)-/
      Dedicated Connection by PrismPulse Mode: Puppis S1's uniquely crafted software, propelled by a powerful 1.3GHz Dual-core chipset, bridges your PC and VR headsets such as Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro with speed and stability. Ensuring minimal interference from other Wi-Fi signals with advanced beamforming.
      Ultra-Fast Wi-Fi: Puppis S1 is a specialized router for PC-VR streaming that supports 2x2 MIMO 160MHz bandwidth and 1024-QAM, boasting a total network speed of 3000 Mbps - 2402Mbps on the 5GHz band, and 575Mbps on the 2.4GHz band.
      Please feel free to buy one yourself and see the difference before making claims of me having fantasies. 🤣
