I’ve had the Binbok battery strap with the dock for about two weeks and no issue with constant beeping at all. It works extremely well actually. Highly recommend!
I’m also wondering about the long term durability because you can spend $100 on the 2 batt pack. The side straps look really thin and elite straps were notorious for breaking there
I have the binbok with extra battery and dock. Never had the issue you had. Sounds like it's loosing connection and reconnecting. Battery charges or holds the charge of the quest battery depending on how hard you're pushing it. No problems yet.
I’m testing the Binbok double battery setup now. The first time I used it it did the Quest 3 charging noise but hasn’t done it since then. So far I’m really liking it.
Do you have a recommendation for a Q3 silicon cover with light blocker? I'm currently using the KIWI design one for my Q2. It fits fine around the Q3 interface (with a little bit loose around the nose) but it's messing with the proximity sensor. I have to tug the top part up because I think it's getting squished too much. I wish there was an option to just disable the sensor.
I solved the Q3 battery problem and my Q3 works more than 5 hours with a 10,000mah under-300g powerbank enough for a day. Single charge a day with no annoying beep now. The battery should support QC3 with 12V.
Binbok VR T3 plus (two batteries and charging dock) owner here. No issues with the 'charging' sound here. It can produce a buzzing sound when the battery has a high power level, but Blunty offered a workaround: only charge when headset power is low (25-50%, it depends on the game) That's why it's nice you can turn around the battery to stop charging, cause you still have the counterweight, that takes a bit of pressure off the face. TLDR : good headstrap. Buzzing sound: turn battery around. Quest power low: Turn battery to charging. (or : 2 presses on the button to stop charging. 1 press to start charging.
I've been running the quest 3 and the binbok t3 +plus double battery and charger for a week now. Been working amazing. Never once had the beeping sound from anything other than the initial mounting of the battery.
I noticed the beeping with the bingbok batteries and for me at least it seems to have to do with the way the battery seats, the magnets are all on one side so I think it doesn’t maintain a strong connection. After just adjusting while it’s connected to keep it connected, the beeping stops and I haven’t heard any in a week or so. Cheers on another great vid, thank you!
They're sending me a new one but I'll mess around with it some more and see if it can do any better. I had tried reseating it multiple times and the beeping was driving me mad! 😂
Battery as a counterweight may sound and feel like a good idea, but it give it an extra weight so side to side movement can give extra kinetic force that literally can become a pain in your neck, if you play games that require you to look left and right quickly it is often better to move the weight (battery) down to the hip, after some year in VR I want my battery on the hip even that is a extra cable that seldom is in the way, but for other games where the movements are not as fast it is okay. I have a plan buying a Quest 3 and also lookinging into a battery strap, so I'm not against them, it just an observation from when I have played.
The headstrap is the same as for the Quest 2 (but fitted to Quest 3) so I assume it's pretty much the same comfort. I just ordered it. Had it for my Quest 2 and loved it. Gave great support.
I also have bought the dual Binbok battery. I have had no issues. I have also noticed the Oculus stayed at 100% while ir was attached, and good balance as well.
the reason it keeps playing the charging sound is because when the headset is full/near full, the battery will stop charging to save both battery power and to not over charge/heat the headset, so because it's doing that, it then auto turns back on after a bit to start charging again. You can also click the button in the middle of the back to turn on and double click to turn off the battery while still plugged in
I found it a little tight for the front giving some slight pressure over time but for the charging, no buzz and beeps and kept it going just need to find that sweet spot for the forhead i think. Excited to see your take on it :) @@jaybratt
I bought the $9 flexible grips you recommended and the set that I got would not close no matter what I did and I felt like I was going to crack the controller. The battery door slots didn’t line up
I think the battery flipping thing is intended to allow you to store the headset with the battery attached, I’ve seen many complaints saying the quests, and especially the 3 drain any and all batteries connected to them even when the headset is turned off.
I'm still using the BoboVR M3, my battery seems to give me just about 2 hours extra I think of mixed use, however I'm also getting that buzz in the left side when its connected. Considering getting those straps but I hate the color so I might make my own replacement strap and just use the cover.
Hi Jay, I have the Binbok strap and batteries and not had a single extra beep thankfully, no buzzing either. The only thing I dislike is the way the ratchet cinches up by just applying pressure to make it smaller, would prefer it to keep it’s size so I could just tilt the strap up at the rear to take it off and back down to put it back on, if you hold it by the headset with the battery uppermost then the weight of the battery is enough to make it auto reduce in size so I have to unwind the ratchet to make it big enough to fit on my head again. Small gripe but a strange design choice that must have been harder to make yet is my only negative. Have come from Quest 2 with an M2 strap which I loved and ordered a M3 from their EU store at the same time as the Binbok (which was also bought via their own website), however, it took Bobo over a week to even send me a shipping notification and it’s coming from China. The Binbok was already here by this time. I also bought the official controller straps which although they are overpriced I really like, they look very much like the ones you already have, I can’t make out if the straps are the same but they look very similar with a multi-layered loose weave kinda strap that is very comfortable and never digs in or gets sweaty, I’d say yours are a direct copy from how yours look from a distance and how much you like them. Thanks for the video on what not to waste money on! 👍
You finally tested the BINBOK!!!! The battery really is great and keeps the Quest 3 juiced......but like you, I LOVE my BOBOVR M3 and will continue to use that for now....but I have the BINBOK batteries charged in case I switch to the BINBOK elite strap.....
Did you have the dinging issue I mentioned about the Binbok? I am still trying to figure out if that's a one off defect or if it's an issue other people are seeing.
I want to warn table tennis enthusiasts about buying an add-on handle thinking that it will improve your game. I bought one from Flighter Crafting shop and just received it this morning. When I attached it to my controller I found the balance to be ridiculously awkward compared to just using the controller on it's own with a hand-strap. Sooner or later the "paddle" would have slipped out of my hand with potential damage to the controller. They do have a return policy but I will have to pay for the postage.
With Bin Bok strap I’m concerned about the long term durability because you can spend $100 on the 2 batt pack. The side straps look really thin and elite straps were notorious for breaking there
And the protube? I’m using my original PT on the Q3 for Onward. It seems like the grip ir being covered is a bit a a problem. As I look down sight I have a wandering effect. Anyone else experiencing the same?
It's going to be more prevalent as the front hand tracking is more covered when you look down sights ☹️ it's the nature of ringless controllers and not so much that last little IR light. I found the Protube still usable but a little less so than the 2 was. I'm not much of a gunstock user though
Received the AMVR facial interface today. Have to say it’s looking promising. Some small light leakage issue but has 3 settings for distance and it is quite comphy!🤞
Binbok is AMAZING, I can get near infinite playtime with double batteries at 50% brightness @ 120hz. It seems like yours is faulty because I have not had that issue. Contact points probably have debris on it
have you tried the Aubika elite strap with battery?, I heard that one is a good battery strap for the Quest 3, it has a 8000 mah battery, which is what you need to keep the Quest 3 charged and not drain so fast while you are using the headset
Great video as always. Loving these roundups! Just curious if you've seen any short corded ear buds for the Quest 3 like there were for the quest 2. It's annoying that the headphone jack switched sides so you can't use your old ones anymore. Keep up the good work!
For the battery upgrades, can you use a usb-c adapter to plug directly in to a pc for link gaming too? If so are there are any on the market that are recommended?
I've been waiting for my BoboVR M3 for an entire months. I thought the European store had a European warehouse. But nope. It took bobo like an entire week to even give a shipping label, and since the 9th it has been stuck in customs. It really sucks, because the Quest 3 is unbelievably uncomfortable, and the garbage sliding mechanism for the interface broke.
I wish companies would make facial interface that worked for the fans you out on the top of the quest 2. They worked great for playing hours without sweating for me.
thanks for testing a bunch of crap 😄, but using lens covers is always a good idea- there`s no need to power down the quest, just deactivate the sensor for automatic switch-on in the Meta-App, which I recommend to do anyways-just tip the power button to send the Quest into stand-by and wake it, hold the button for around 3sec to switch it off completely...
I have the binbok strap, haven't noticed the beep but might have to check now, but I like it cause it charges the Q3 while playing an can swap out battery quick an easy. My only gripe is the ratchet adjuster plays up some times
Will you twll Binbok they need to sell that charging base and extra batteries seprately too. I'm really hoping the Binbok headstrap works because I bought three of them....but I didnt want to spend that much on the larger package if itnhas issues thay are undiscovered still.
I guess I got lucky 🤞 my Binbok headstrap does not buzz in the unit or beep. Guess I got lucky and received a good one. It does charge while playing also. Mine is the dual battery kit. As always, appreciate you keeping us informed!👍👍
Although overpriced at $40, I can vouch for the Meta "active" controller straps. Battery door is an oem perfect fit and I love the strap material, very soft and breathable.
Question for anyone with the Binbok Battery Strap: Do you have to unplug the usb-c cable in order to turn off your Quest 3? I have it and with it plugged in, I cannot turn off my headset. It will power back on. Also plugging in the usb-c cable turns the headset on. Does this also happen with the Bobo M3?

Silicone grips just suck no matter who makes them. Once they get warm, they start stretching all over the place. The best grips I have found are the battery cover replacement with knuckle straps.
Not sure if you have been over the nordquest VR strap for the quest 3. Thats the one im thinking about buying but cant see any youtubers talking about it. Has a built in battery that gives about 5 hours extra playtime apparently. Does anyone have any info on it please??
I sent my quest 2 case packing with my quest 2 and a bunch if accessories to its new owner. luckily hi bloks sent me a charging case for free. I took the bottom out and the bobo m3 fits tightly. it can hold a lot of accessories outside just the headset so I'll prob be using that one for a long time.
Hello! Just a fellow traveler who is considering buying a quest 3! I was wondering if I should get the 128 gig or 512. And if I ever do buy the 512 gig, are there any perks to it other than the extra gigs? Thanks!
I was making the same decision, and ended up going for the 512gb version. I'd say if you use PCVR you might be fine with the 128gb version since most of your games will be on your PC anyway. Otherwise if it's in your budget, I'd recommend the 512gb version. You also get 6 months free Meta Quest+ subscription with the larger storage if I'm not mistaken!
I just ordered the KIWI Design Comfort Head Strap for Quest 3. I had the same one for Quest 2 and loved it. Sadly, it's without battery, but i rarely play long sessions and I doubt I'll find a power bank in my pocket to be a problem. Now I just long for a new facial interface with PU leather and better (wider) support against the face than the included one...
I have had the bobo v3 battery head strap and played over 2 hours and my quest 3 was still at 100%.. love my bobo, still the king in my book. Not sure why people and some reviewers are saying it dosnt charge the quest 3??? Strange?
Sadly it's getting that rep as it's been a bit unreliable. Some of my Bobo batteries are draining out in minutes, while others are holding up find. I've found the main culprit tends to be the 5V3A batteries, and the 5V2.6A are holding up better. I've retired my 3A ones for now.
I had that with one particular dock I had, an old BoboVR universal dock. I've heard of that with the Binbok ones but I didn't have it with this particular one. I just had the constant dinging you saw here.
Thanks for the tips and the update on your current accessory list, Jay. Damn that constant battery beeping with the Binbok would make me take it off and use it like an in-game boomerang instead... I just ordered BoboVR M3, BoboVR C2 case and the AMVR black silicone controller grips. Can't wait.
I bought a cheap kit just to have the color I liked. The silicone facial cover is fine along with a slightly annoying to install nose guard (but works okay once installed). The controller silicone covers were cheap and would shift just like you described. Was using the Quest 3 frontal silicone cover however it looks much better then it does in use. Firstly same as you it would shift quite easily and made finding the volume rocker much harder. I could barely live with this however then my headset overheated and I instantly removed the cover so it will sit in my drawer. Shame since I loved the color. Awaiting some kind of vinyl stick on cover that will not block the vents however there are very few choices right now (I would be happy with just a solid color - nothing fancy). Hoping someone can come up with a better solution. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for testing out all those crap so we don’t waste our money! I cringe ever time you tap your Q3 on your desk. I hope it doesn’t ruin your cameras!
What is the point of camera protectors and covers? Who is going to be dropping their Quest 3? Any extra layer you add on the cameras might make the already poor cameras even worse. Any extra cover will make the thermals worse. Any extra grip on the controllers will make the tracking worse. I would say don't bother adding any covers or "protectors" to the Quest.
I’m just shocked of how little American brand support these devices have. Seems like everything is a straight from China PoS that doesn’t work properly. Just ordered a quest 3 and not one battery strap product I’ve come across didn’t have bad reviews about battery and quality issues
I felt like it wouldn't waste people's time that way 😂 I try to make sure people know what they're clicking on before they click but sometimes it's a bit too direct like that one was

Any recommendations for a solution to light bleed around the nose i want to put my quest 3 on and feel fully immersed
The Colt has begun
@JayBratt Try the FOREGOER Carrying Case for Meta Quest 3
I sent my quest 2 case packing with my quest 2 and a bunch if accessories to its new owner. luckily hi bloks sent me a charging case for free. I took the bottom out and the bobo m3 fits tightly. it can hold a lot of accessories outside just the headset so I'll prob be using that one for a long time.
Yay I love accessories videos
the BoboVR M3 Pro Strap link i click it it says its only for the quest 2? any help please
FWIW I’ve found the Aubika battery strap to be good so far.
I'm doing an all Aubika test this week! Can't wait to see how it fairs!
@@VirtualMoose thank you so much!
@@YouLookEdible no problem dude, hope it helps!
Definitely want to pick up those knuckle grips. That's been my number 1 wanted accessory for the Quest 3.
Where is the link to the bobovr case?
Using the AMVR facial interface and it's nice!
It's a good day when JayBratt uploads a chunky video full of useful info and insight! 😊
I love my BimBok strap, I got the 2 battery pack
jaybratt what faicial interface replacment do you use?
I have had the bobo v3 battery head strap and played over 2 hours and my quest 3 was still at 100%.. love my bobo, still the king in my book.
Not sure why people and some reviewers are saying it dosnt charge the quest 3??? Strange?
Sadly it's getting that rep as it's been a bit unreliable. Some of my Bobo batteries are draining out in minutes, while others are holding up find. I've found the main culprit tends to be the 5V3A batteries, and the 5V2.6A are holding up better. I've retired my 3A ones for now.
Hey jbratt, thank you for the info. Quick question. When I plug in my mpro 3 I get that beeping sound. Is my headgear from bobo defective?
@@pamelabrown9639 as long as it only beeps once that's normal
dam almost 60k subs. 100k someday i can see it
Does the c2 case work with the bobo headphones?
My buddy said his Binbok made an audible buzzing noise and he is going to return it. Anyone else get that?
I had that with one particular dock I had, an old BoboVR universal dock. I've heard of that with the Binbok ones but I didn't have it with this particular one. I just had the constant dinging you saw here.
Is this for the meta quest 3
JAY THANKS NOW IMA GET A BUNCHA STUFF FOR CHRISTMAS YAY
Why did I watch this with a quest 2 lol anyways create content man keep it up!
Nice cat ears
I love ur videos 😊
Hello, your my fav yter to find some good add ons
Your binbok strap is a dud it shouldn't be doing that.
Ok good. That's what I thought. I'll see if we can get the Binbok double kit to test and verify that this one is just faulty.
Just ordered a quest 3 and not one battery strap product I’ve come across didn’t have bad reviews about battery and quality issues
yooo
Nice title change, I saw the first one and thought "Why do I want to know about bad accessories that I will never buy?"
I felt like it wouldn't waste people's time that way 😂 I try to make sure people know what they're clicking on before they click but sometimes it's a bit too direct like that one was
Lol give me those what you don't need/use :D
lol 😂, you‘re crazy 😅
Interesting 🙂🙃🙂🙃🧐 🐈 💙 Mb
