Still using BOBOVR’s innovative power swap design, the new battery architecture separates the discharge module from the battery pack, reducing battery pack heat. It also improves the discharge efficiency by 6% compared to the old model, and adds low-battery sound reminders and accurate battery levels. Check;
Brand new B100 battery system: Compared with B2, while the volume remains unchanged, the capacity is increased from 5200mah to 10000mah, the battery capacity is increased by 92%, and the weight is only increased by 28%. Thanks to the higher output efficiency, the available capacity is B2 2 times;
S3 Pro has a built-in head air-conditioning system, which uses silent technology to keep the head and face cool and comfortable even when Quest3 is worn for a long time, and supports 100-level flexible wind speed adjustment;

I just received my BoboVR S3 Pro today! Exquisite build quality & flat out comfortable! It's simply the best.
Just coming back to say thanks! I preordered this after your review and am so happy with this. I am very sensitive at the back of my head and if this starts to get to me it is so easy to slightly adjust! Such nice quality and easy to get it just right. As an aside, I didn't expect to ever use the fan since I don't use this for work-outs but every so often it is so nice to switch on if I start to feel a little over-heated. I also bought for comfort and really didn't need that extra battery since I don't play that long but every so often I mess up my timing on charging and it's nice to be able to plug it in if the main battery starts to get low.
Ive been waiting for this.. had it order in the first few minutes of the video but finished watching just out of excitement and anticipation

Just got it yesterday and love the packaging! It took about 2.5 weeks to get here from China, but worth the wait.
Followed your video to ensure I didn't break it and man... its as comfortable as heck. I previously had the elite strap and recently was sent a replacement from meta due to intemittant charging issues with the original.
But happily gifting to a neighbor as I'm not going back. This is smooth. The fan is a huge bonus. The cool on the forehead helps alot as the Q3 does put out a lot of heat after a few hours.
I work from home as a developer, so I've been in the headset almost all day teathered to a power cord.
My Elite Strap w/Battery that I bought on launch finally quit charging the Q3 so I just ordered one of these. Honestly surprised it lasted as long as it did. Thanks for the review, and looking forward to the S3 Pro!

@@jaybratt yeah I'm stoked man I'm checking the tracking more often than I care to admit. Just got some controller covers and a new facial interface as well as a gun stock on the way. Head strap is all that's missing. All this in my first week of VR lol

@@alihanhaydar8369 The one I got came in an Amazon bundle with the controller covers and outer silicone wrap. While I'm pleased with those parts the facial interface cover is flimsy and doesn't fit nearly as clean as Jay's.
He even mentioned how his is custom so maybe that's the way to go.
With that said however, it may not be as fitting as I would like but the feeling of silicone with an almost cold feeling the first time you put it on is significantly more comfortable to the skin than the stock piece. That much I can say with confidence.
I'm sorry if this doesn't help but as I've mentioned, I've only just started my VR journey a week ago and I'm still bumbling my way through it. That's what led me to Jay in the first place

Great review, I ordered mine on your announcement video. I do have a question about the fan. When using the Link cable (so S3 usb unplugged from the quest) is the fan able to be used? I use it for sim racing so prefer the link cable but bought this for the fan.
Also any idea where i can buy m3 to m2 adaptors so i can use the m3 on my old quest 2? Or 3d print an adaptor... sure loads of people have this from upgrading to m3 - doh!

Good call! The M3 was a great half measure while there weren't any straps yet but as we move to straps specifically designed for the Quest 3 I think the pulled forward ones will mostly fall off.

Just arrived today. Wow, what a difference.
The hinge on the BOBO and some other halo headsets is what makes them so comfortable compared to the fixed halo of the PSVR2. I usually wear the back half quite high on my head, I have no hair so it just grips just fine up there, and I find it way more comfortable that way than having it touching my neck area at all.

Thanks for your great video. The fact that these overhead parts can be removed so easily is brilliant. Now I want the HaloStrap too. What I like about the PlaystationVR2 is that you can slide the glasses under your bangs from below so that your hair doesn't always have to be in front of the lenses. Finally you can do this with third-party accessories on the quest3. Greetings from Munich ;-)

And yet still no good audio solution for more demanding customers. This applies to all manufactures including Meta.
How it is possible the worst IMO manufacurer of ink printers managed to offer optimal audio experience in his vr headset out of the box...

Mine is on the way, I'm curious if the battery whine is still there when plugged in? Its not horrible with the M3 but it was noticeable that there is a capacitor or something inside the battery pack that whines when on and moving power to the Q3.

Hey there, just had a question about the battery I hadn't seen answered yet. If I was to connect a USB-C cable to the new bobo battery while its still connected to the Quest 3, would this charge the internal quest battery to full, and then the bobo battery to full, or only one or the other? I found with the M3 Pro that it would pass the charge through to the quest 3, but once that was charged it wouldnt charge the bobo battery unless i disconnected it from the headset first. Really just about the convience of being able to hang it up once im done playing and come back the next day to a full charge on both 😊 without having to charge them separately. Also thanks for the review!
Great review! Received mine yesterday. Comfort and build quality is spot on. Although doesn't seem to ever stop charging the headset. Even with the Quest off and at 100%, it drains the Bobo battery at around 3 - 4% an hour. The green charging indicator is always on when the battery is connected.

@@LemurTech Not just me then! Possibly related to allowing the Quest 3 to wake from sleep to check for updates etc? I need to try disabling that. My controllers also drain quite badly when not in use. Strange.
Still waiting on mine. Ordered immediately after learning about this. Had my M3 Pro and the dock with second battery for a week and ended up returning them because of this. Unfortunately I’ve also been without use of my Quest 3 as a result as I am too lazy to put my stock strap back on lmao. Tracking shows it should arrive at the destination airport today so hopefully I’ll have it by the end of the week

I have the amvr interface and the quest brand silicone one. Curious if the fan would work on either, the quest brand is nice but it’s a little narrow for my big head so I’d prefer to use the amvr but I want the fan to work
Would this work with the AMVR facial interface? That's probably my one big conflict here, as I don't know of any better facial interfaces and I already have the AMVR.

I have a couple of questions 1. Does the Bobo S3 Pro charge with the Q3 Charging dock? 2. Do you get 3hrs total play time or 3hrs plus the Q3 battery time?
I have a question: When you start to play a game, say Golf +, do you put the battery on the back of the headstrap immediately or do you wait until you get a low battery alert from the headset? I've been hooking it up as soon as I start to play. But when that battery gets used up and you get an alert, I've put my second battery on and it doesn't seem to work; It's charged up but doesn't seem to give me new battery life. What am I doing wrong?
I have the Bobovr M3 mini strap and I would like to know how the S3 compares to it. I like the 'suction'/stability of it for active gaming but I would not complain if it would feel more comfortable. What are your opinions?
Yo, I like the review, but I was curious about pcvr experience. Is there a pass-through for the usb cable that's integrated into the attached usb cable, or is that simply for power from the battery. I enjoy close to zero latency and even though my wireless connection is exceptional, I feel more comfortable whenever I'm wired and was curious about how the pcvr plays.

Great review, the best one yet. One thing I'd really like to know is how will the battery perform with a complete flat quest 3 battery. Will it provide just enough power to keep you going or will it charge fast enough to run the quest and also fully charge the battery?

I got mine yesterday and yes it is way better
i wonder if this new version also does affect the sound quality like the M2 did on the Quest 2. I had the issue on the Quest 2, that the 90 degree design removes the small resonance body behind the speakers and that results in losing lower frequencies and room sound. I cannot stand playing with headphones, so speaker-sound is very important.
I'm glad they got rid of the cable management plastic thingy, my Quest 2 bobovr strap came with that and it broke a while ago, didn't really leave a good impression, it even scared me into thinking the cable was going to be uncomfortable from that point onward but it turns out it's completely unnecessary so they just saved themselves some bad looks
Truly a sign that they really look into every detail and actually test and use their products, one of the reasons I'm sticking with them and waiting for them to drop the equivalent Elite Strap type Quest 3 strap with charging included

Pre-ordered mine after your first video on it, had bought my M3 PRO from Amazon and BoboVR refunded me the other 10% (20% total discount) less than 12 hours after emailing them proof that I purchased the S3 and also the M3 from amazon. I got tracking info 2 days ago but no expected delivery so I am anxiously waiting that arrival! I play a lot of Supernatural and sweat a ton so really looking forward to the fan! Just wish extra batteries were available for the S3. I am getting 2 hours out of each battery I have for my M3 so really only upgraded to S3 for the fan/enhanced overall design and not really for the battery, although extra overall life will be nice, just wish I had a spare one also haha
Got mine today. It is really good. I need to test watching a long movie to see if there is pressure on my forehead. If it does I go back to VRbalance
Thanks for the review. I may get the S3 later this year but I have 4 batteries and the M3 so I am not really excited about the purchase but we'll see! I hope that BoBo will release an updated face guard and fan like the Q2 [:]~))
I feel you there. I think I have 8 or 9 batteries. I figure as I swap to S3's I'll give away my M3's and the batteries too so they don't risk e waste.

Was going to ask, I ordered mine already , but using the S3, does it allow you to move the visor up and use it outside VR comfortably?
I got my new Bobo S3 two days ago and am very happy with it, way better and far more comfortable for me being a bald man, than any other Headstrap I have tried.
I can now play Beat Sabre for two hours and don't even notice I have the headset on, my first original Bobo was good but no where near as good as the S3, I haven't even tried the fan system as yet as I replaced the face shield with the best and most comfortable one on the market at the same time and it has vents that work.
I also don't have to keep adjusting the headset to lift the front to eye level as the original Bobo would let the headset slip down to the point it would go out of focus, the new one doesn't do this.
Everyone says to use the Silky cushion, but to be honest, I will probably wait till the default one wears out as it's more than comfortable and if the SIlky one is even better, I then look forward to when I need to use it :).
I will be ordering another battery as I always like to have a spare, but this new battery from Bobo is more than twice as good as their 5000MAH version as after playing Beat sabre for close to two hours, I would have had a flat 5000MAH battery and onto the Q3 battery, now I have a fully charged Q3 and many hours left to go, one battery is probably all I need, but I have grand chilodren that come over and play and they may forget to put the battery back on charge after use ?
I would highly recommend this new S3 to anyone that is Hair disabled :)

Was the battery test done with 120hz on and at least half brightness? I have 120hz turned off with my external anker brick, just curious. I did order mine launch day, taking forever to leave China it seams! lol
So do the m2 battery work on s3 pro . And will the m2 battery dual doc charger . Charge then s3 pro battery?
