Thanks for this video, it does need to be updated but after looking at the comments I was able to finally get through after trying for 7 days. So now you have to type in a pin when calling SDI, so what I did was call the press 1, type the pin they give you and then press 240. When I did this I got the infamous “we’ve reached the max on hold please call back” so I hung up and literally called back, I did this maybe 8 times before I finally got through, it still took almost an hour on hold to actually speak to someone but I got through and got my issue fixed!! Thanks everyone hopefully this helps the next person!
Omg thank you so much I was getting so frustrated…I’ve been trying to call for weeks, and always get the “we’ve reached the maximum amount of callers for the day” but this worked 👏🏻
Omgee! I tried it and it really worked!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾. Literally on the 1st attempt. Thank you so much!! I entered the verification code and then immediately pressed 240 and I was through!
This worked for me. Thank you so much! I called at 8:12am, was quoted 12 minute estimated wait time, and after speaking with a tech division rep was transferred to an “examiner” and proceeded to wait 1.5 hours. At least I got through. Total time in the phone: 2.5 hours. I had been calling for months and would get the “maximum amount of callers” prompt and unable to even wait. EDD needs to step their shit up for real.
After three weeks I was unable to get through them I’d call 50 times a day. After watching your video today I was able to finally talk to them. Good bless you and Thank you so so much
The 1st Time. Omg, I'm so greatful for you and your help. I was able to get thru the very 1st time trying this. It was about a 1/2 hour hold, but so worth it. Thank you and may you be beyond Blessed 🙏🏾👍🏽 People, please remember they open at 8am, so try as early as you can..
It really did work. I was about to write a comment asking if it was still working after calling probably 70 times, but then I got through. Just be persistent!
OMG I love you man!!! I had so much trouble getting through. I kept getting the Maximum Amount of Callers message. I called twice this morning right at 8am and got the Maximum message again. Saw your video and tried the 1, 2, 4 and got through on the second try. I'm now waiting for a representative. 🙏🏾
I thought and Google told me that it was 3210, and it would lead me to the call but it would always be busy, but I just tried the 124 and it got me in first try and had to wait only one minute! On call with them now!! Thank You for this Video, you a real lifesaver!!!
I am glad to find this video. Use it and it worked with just one call. I had to wait for a few minutes and that is okay. I was frustrated with EDD looked like nobody is working keeps saying all is busy. It really works. I probably called them more than 50 times daily and no answer. Thank you, Farzad😀
IT WORKED!! Thank you!! I got a 'Call In Notice' on my account to answer a simple question and had no idea how to respond to it through their phone number + automated menu. I got a call back prompt in 2 tries and the representative called me 20 minutes later. Yay!
Thanks for this info! I got through on the second time. I also contacted all of my local representatives to complain about how hard it is to get ahold of anyone!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!! I've been calling for a week now and was at my wits end cause I couldn't get through. So your video and said "it wouldn't hurt to try". I wasn't getting anything anyway 😂🤣. Tried it and got through on THE FIRST TRY! I'm waiting for them to call me back as this is being typed. Thank you so Much for this. For the people like me who REALLY need to get in contact with them, this helped. Thank you sir
Hey, all just want you to know that they have rerouted the 124 number to the help desk. The 124 extension is no longer SDI, it is the help desk for new applicants only- please press 1330. Thanks!
@@janelin803 if that worked for you I’ll change my comment. The EDD is always changing things up so people won’t figure out how to get ahold of them unfortunately:/
This worked!!!!! Tried it today. First time it took 7 calls. I prompted to have them call me back when I'm next in line (they never did). Called back tried 4x got through the hold line. Waited 42 minutes got a rep on the phone and my issue was resolved. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I have been trying to get through to them for so long! I watched your video, called once and got right through, I can't believe it! I'm now on hold. Thank you so much for the tip!
Thank you sooooo much !!! It’s been a frustrating 2 months to say the least.I saw your video last March but did not wait for the part where you said extension 1 2 4. LOL .Got to talk to a live person today on my second try.Thanx a million. God bless
Farzad, thank you so much for this information. I got lucky and got through to someone on the first try. The rep. looked up my claim that appeared to have all required forms but was stuck somewhere in the system. He transferred me to someone who reviewed and approved it, moving it forward to start payments. I would never have gotten there without this info. Was selecting different options in their voice system that told me the queue was full. You are truly providing a public service and I appreciate the help. I'm also encouraging folks to keep trying. It took about 90 once I got to a live person so also be patient. Good luck. Stay well.
It worked great‼️Thank you!!!!!! I used the 124 number, and I got through to SDI in three tries!! I was on hold for awhile and then went with the call back option. They did indeed call me back! So be patient, because from the time I got through to the call back time, it was about two hours. But I did eventually talk to a live person! Thank you so much for this tip!! Sooooooooo helpful!! Also, I ended up having to call again. This time I called in the afternoon and literally tired 100 times and did not get through. 🤣. But then I tired again later in the day, at 4:30. This time I got through in 5 tries and was only on hold about 10 minutes until I got a person on the other line. So be patient and keep trying. With this trick it is not too bad, and you will get through with minimal effort for a government agency!!!! Thanks so much Frazad!!!
Amazing! Thank you! I was talking to an operator in less than 2 minutes and done in 10 minutes. I've spent more time going through their endless loops.
It worked!! On the first try and it was only a 4 minute wait. I had bee trying for hours getting the message that the maximum of callers had been reached. Thanks for the tip!! You're awesome!

You’ve really been a great help with providing these shortcuts to speak to live reps at SDI & EDD! Unfortunately, it seems both agencies are privy to these shortcuts ( I mean they have access to your channel too right?) so I know that a couple months ago I reached a live rep using the “1-2-4” method. However today I tried this method 3 times and each time I either got help desk or tech support. I even thought that if I requested a callback that I would have a rep call me back who could discuss my claim.Instead I got another help desk rep who asked me “What numbers did you press? You have to dial 1-3-3-0!” So maybe there needs to be an update for SDI just as you do with EDD, I’m surprised that ppl are still saying that they’re reaching a rep using the 1-2-4 method but maybe it’s just me.
I had to do the same. I asked the help desk member what #’s I could dial when prompted on the menu in order to reach a specialist, and they told me to dial 330 for a specialist who could help you more in depth than a help desk member can, as they can only answer general questions and look up basic things on your account.
Ok no lie i have been desperately trying ALL day! As soon as i did this ONCE and FINALLY got through. And this is during their lunch rush 12:45pm! I was helped right away and my problem was rectified. Thank you soooo much!
*UPDATE* This is only for technical support to login to EDD website. That's all. They can't do anything else. can't even transfer you to any other department. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!! I still wasn't able to get through due to maximum callers but it will make it so much easier I hope to get through
Wow thank you so much for this hack. I just tried it and got through to someone on the first try. Been trying to get a hold of them since yesterday with no success.
Thank you so much! I got through and spoke to a representative and had my question answered. It took me about 10 times I called first thing in the morning and fortunately was only on hold for about 15 minutes until a representative picked up. Again so thankful for your help
I'm pretty sure they got wise and have now implemented a "verification code" process where the system reads you 4 numbers and you need to type them back in the same order...
You are amazing! I tried the call back prompt twice and was on the phone for 2 hours then gave up and tried this, got help with what I needed in 20 minutes. Thank you !
DUDE I CALLED 68 TIMES JUST TO GET HUNG UP ON WHEN I GOT A CALL BACK !! I CALLED 30 MORE TIMES AND I TRIED THIS IT WORKED THE VERY FIRST TIME !!!!!!!!! OMGG THANK YOU I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS !!!
Hey Bud! I dont know what you did, but it worked.Have been trying to get a call into a representative for 12 days. I used this method 1 time,. Boom. Getting a call back in 20 mins. Cheers
AHH Bro, for the past 2 weeks I've called them over 70 times a day trying to speak to someone. I did this and FIRST try I get into the queue. 38 minute wait on hold? Thats nothing compared to what I was going through. Thanks a bunch
Your welcome! Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m glad my video was able to help you. Please don’t forget to share it, so it can help someone else.
You are a life saver! After trying for two whole days and getting the "Maximum Caller" message I googled how to get through to a EDD SDI representative and your video pop up. I do have to say I tried 124 and it didn't work at first. You now have to enter a four digit verification code in order to proceed. So update, press 1, what for a four digit verification code and enter it, then press 2 then 4. This actually placed me on hold for the next representative with an estimated hold time of 9 minutes. It's been 13 minutes now but at least I got through. Keeping my fingers crossed! ***Update, after 35 minutes I was able to speak with a representative who answered all of my questions. Once I get paid, I owe you a cup of coffee :)
this sent me to help desk And they could not transfer me anywhere. Calling the same number dialing 330 works but there’s always so many people on the line you can’t even get on the waitlist is a nightmare
You are so amazing. Thank you so so so much for this. You have no idea how many times, and for how many WEEKS I have been trying to get through to these people! It worked and went through my FIRST TRY! Just as a side note for anybody reading this: If they quote you a long wait time and say that they will hold your place in line and call you back, DO IT!! I was a little skeptical at first, but I was quoted a 60 minute wait time and opted to get a call back. I received a call back from EDD in about 15 minutes. Thanks again for this handy little trick. You are a lifesaver.
I called at 7:59am and kept dialing until it answered....I FINALLY got through after more than 200 attempts last week. I'm on hold now but even if it takes 4 hours I'm in least in the queue. It says my hold time is 1 minute. We'll see. Thanks for the tip!
@@gabrielamorales7514 yes actually but I started dialing right at 8am. I was on hold them transferred and it turned out that they suddenly couldn’t verify my address. Once we figured it out they deemed me legit and are sending my payment finally! There is a lot of fraud going on and holding up the system. Definitely try right at 7:59am and keep dialing! Good luck!!
The "124" gets you to a regular representative. If you need to return a call for a question they have for you, use "1330" to get to their "specialist".
I'm going to try this today .. SDI stopped paying me a month ago and my three children have no food on bankrupt in my life is over... This is how California takes care of their people... I'm going to sue the state of California as soon as I can afford a lawyer
I tried it today. It did not work. I did get a live body. But she said she could only give advice on accessing EDD online, could not give any answers to specific claims.
After punching in 1-2-4 for SDI, punch # to bypass the recorded message and skip right to “We’re sorry, (bla bla bla)”. Rinse and repeat. I got over 200 redials in today in a fraction of the time. 👍🏼
Hi Farzad, thanks for the awesome instructions to get to EDD support. I tried following and it worked however it went to the technical support and she said she cannot help with benefits payment or claim update. Can you suggest how else I can reach them?
same.... in fact when she said she couldn't help she sat in silence for 3 min and didn't say anything until i said hello, then she told me to call someone else
Same. He told me he couldn’t help and when I asked if I could be transferred he sent me “on hold” to a music loop for over an hour and half before I finally hung up
This goes to Website Tech Support now, If you are looking for customer support for a claim, you want to press 1, 3, 3, then 0 until it allows you to press one for a call back, then wait for the call back. Its like a secret handshake, so much hate.
Totally worked the first time! After trying for weeks to get through, then finding out that my husband got denied because we didn’t send a form of utility bill with his name on it , they never asked for that , been waiting 4 months, no letter of explanation or money
Hi, was wondering if you had an update. When I called in now asks you to put in a verification code they give you. So I did that, then I tried the 124 and it took me to a voice mail box.
This is by far the most helpful tip!!! How long I wonder did it take you to figure this out??!! 🤔 phew! Thank you!! First call I got on with a live person!
this no longer works. i get a message saying if you want to speak with a representative please dial 0, then there's a recording saying to call back within business hours. it is business hours.
This works great, however, do know that it takes you to the SDI Help Desk and that they only have a limited amount of things they can do. I was directed to talk to a Claims Rep. I was provided the general number and told to select option 1, and then 1 again. Select option 1, option 1 again, and then option 1. It will ask for your SSN. Select Option 1 to confirm. And then press 0 to speak to a Claims Rep. There's a max amount of callers they can put on hold. I was on hold for 1.5hrs. But finally got the issue resolved.

You have to dial 1-3-3-0!”
So maybe there needs to be an update for SDI just as you do with EDD, I’m surprised that ppl are still saying that they’re reaching a rep using the 1-2-4 method but maybe it’s just me.
I had to do the same. I asked the help desk member what #’s I could dial when prompted on the menu in order to reach a specialist, and they told me to dial 330 for a specialist who could help you more in depth than a help desk member can, as they can only answer general questions and look up basic things on your account.

Thank you !
Sis you hear Silence after 1, 2, 4?
This actually worked. Was placed on Hold for an hour I was able to speak to someone… Thank you so much!!!
You’re welcome!
I just called right now and pressed 124 and customer support answered no luck here any other suggestions? Thanks though
Thank you SO MUCH! It worked the 1st try and waited 2 min! 🙏🏼
Thanks we’re we’re able to call at 8 and waited about 30 minutes before someone actually helped us….way better this way
Thank you for this. I've been trying to navigate their annoying menu for hours trying to get a hold of someone.
Cheers
AHH
Bro, for the past 2 weeks I've called them over 70 times a day trying to speak to someone.
Thank you so much for your advice. It worked immediately. I have been trying to reach them for a month........I appreciate you so much!
Omg I’ve been trying for days to get though but tried this and it worked I was on hold for 5 mins!!!
thanks for the information, it's so frustrating I have return to work and have not received a single payment
Worked after 2 tries. Thank you SO much!🎉
Dude you are a lifesaver got through first try and waited 30 seconds maybe 🙌
For me, this just let me skip all of the intro messages and prompt entries, which I am very grateful for!
Thanks. Unfortunately I got a rep who was very rude and transferred me mid sentence. 😞
Hello Farza, you're a genius! It worked on the 3rd try. Thank you, you saved me a lot of time and frustration.
Thank You! It works.
After trying for 2 hours I actually got thru, but was transferred around for another 40 minutes.
Issues still not resolved.
I called at 7:59am and kept dialing until it answered....I FINALLY got through after more than 200 attempts last week. I'm on hold now but even if it takes 4 hours I'm in least in the queue. It says my hold time is 1 minute. We'll see. Thanks for the tip!
Girl how’d it go?????
How long did it take after all
Did it work? I’ve been calling for the past two weeks because they haven’t paid me in a month 😩
Good luck!!
@@meghanmiller2743 sorry do they answer you right away in 1 minutes they said 23 minutes for me and I been in hold for 1 hour
Thank you so much for this magic! You are the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) :)
Worked on the first try right at 8am. Thank you so much!
Press 1330 if busy keep calling & press 1330
The "124" gets you to a regular representative. If you need to return a call for a question they have for you, use "1330" to get to their "specialist".
Thank you! How long until you got in contact using 1330?
In addition, dialing 13110 worked for me also
The girl I got said this was tech support. So they can help with account issues, not claim issues. She was not able to transfer me to someone else.
Dial 13110
same.... in fact when she said she couldn't help she sat in silence for 3 min and didn't say anything until i said hello, then she told me to call someone else
Same. He told me he couldn’t help and when I asked if I could be transferred he sent me “on hold” to a music loop for over an hour and half before I finally hung up
This method isn't working. I'm sure it worked a year or 2 ago but haven't gotten through
It worked the first time! God Bless You!!!
thank you Farzad, it worked! Much appreciated!!!
Holy cow. I've been trying to get through for months. Thought it was impossible. This worked!
This goes to Website Tech Support now, If you are looking for customer support for a claim, you want to press 1, 3, 3, then 0 until it allows you to press one for a call back, then wait for the call back. Its like a secret handshake, so much hate.
I did this and it took me to a person saying to press 330 to get to a customer service then said there’s no one available
Dial 13110
Totally worked the first time! After trying for weeks to get through, then finding out that my husband got denied because we didn’t send a form of utility bill with his name on it , they never asked for that , been waiting 4 months, no letter of explanation or money
Hi, was wondering if you had an update. When I called in now asks you to put in a verification code they give you. So I did that, then I tried the 124 and it took me to a voice mail box.
This is by far the most helpful tip!!! How long I wonder did it take you to figure this out??!! 🤔 phew! Thank you!! First call I got on with a live person!
Great to hear! And you’re welcome :)
Dude! Thank you! Great hack and told me wait time was 60min and am in cue for a call back! Thanks again 👍⚡️💥😃
On my 10th try, I got through and now I’m
On hold !
I have to comment. IT WORKED GUYS! 😭 thank you so much!
this no longer works. i get a message saying if you want to speak with a representative please dial 0, then there's a recording saying to call back within business hours. it is business hours.
Thank you so much! I'm all set! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Thank you for your video. 🙏
Thank you soo much! I was able to get thru on the first call ☺️🙏
Thank you! This really does work. You're A M A Z I N G 🙏
Your welcome!!
