Her eyes are simply stunning. She made certain to engage the camera when she addressed a question. As if she recognized that her audience, the ones enraptured with her response were present. Yes. In the very moment! Thank you, Tal!
I like what you said about "always arriving". It's a spiritually mature point of view - like always becoming enlightened rather than being enlightened. The universe is constantly becoming and dissolving away. It's not a static thing. Stagnation is death. I'm excited to watch/hear you develop as an artist and especially as a vocalist. I really like your voice and lyrics.
I love the fact that women are being noticed for their talent and songwriting. There weren't enough Sheryl crow caliber musicians getting the attention they deserved when I was younger! Plus with all due respect tal is as beautiful as she is gifted!
C'mon. There are a stack of creative women that have made it in the music industry. HEAPS OK! Please use Google to update yourself. Where have you been living, under a rock?
This interviewer reminds me of Chris Farley's fanboy character, interviewing celebrities. "R-r-r-member, m-m-member when you were in the Beatles? That was awesome".
I have followed you since I first discovered you in the live at Ronnie Scotts with JB DVD. So glad to finally see a long interview with you. You have incredible talent, enjoy it as much as your fans. Come to Albany, NY!! (Please).
No disrespect meant, your talent is simply AMAZING, BUT, you are one of the sexiest women in the music industry ever! And you don't try to be which makes it more amazing. Blown away with you talent and your gigs with Beck just spectacular!
I know what the interviewer meant, I know, BUT still sounded odd that after she just told him that she played with the Allmann Bros, that Paladino and Vinnie recomended her to Jeff , to ask her if she felt that she made it at that point...anyone of us if Vinnie just tells us, "well that was kind of good stuff" might end being the highlight of our lives, but if Vinnie just thinks that you can play with him and Beck to recommendo you? I guess she already knew she was more than ok...in fact Vinnie met her while a teenager in NAMM and asked her to play with him, just that simple comment means "you're a freaking hell of a freak"...BTW she grabbed the bass at 17....insane
Amazing how doors just seem to open when you are destined to do something isn't it? First and foremost this lady is a phenom. She, herself, has said that the first time she ever picked up an instrument she cried because she'd found what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. Call it what it probably was for her; an epiphany. So now she's following her muse folks; and as importantly it seems the forces that blessed her with the talent want her to pursue it as fully as possible. Doors just open effortlessly (for her). And I can see/hear why. I wish her well and much success on her journey; because to find your muse is one thing but being afforded the opportunity to actually pursue and do it...well that's a blessed thing isn't it? Wow Tal is so intelligent... Horray .. Australia has such talented people (Viva Australis).... Pity we cannot get sufficient work here in Australia... And yes the interviewer is a bit lame... But Tal shines through..!
1st. She is SO cute/beautiful BUT... then, a master (mistress?) bassist and finally, such an intelligent demeanor... I mean I'm like nearly 70 and cripes (!) Ms. Wilkenfeld leaves me weak in the knees... I want to see and hear more of that voice of hers singing and her original material... yes please!!!
@@alexvanroth175 Really? First things first: First rodeo, I reckon?..No disrespect to Tal, and I'm sure she couldn't care less if I said this, but I must, in reaction to such an idiotic comment..Nice Rack?!...Dude, WTF are you talking about?..She's president of the itty bitty titty committee!
Tal, it must be ar ight pain having to talk to these dick heads in interviews, i know you have to do press interviews, but you should put it in your contract that you come first, and not these knob heads that are there to further their career as a interviewer, it must drive you mad when you have to talk to these knobs and look like your interested in what there saying !! get a clause in your contract that say "i will not do interviews with knob heads" i'm only interested in what you have to say, not the dick heads, PS, your a brilliant Muscian, end of story xx
She's an ok player! It's ok to be honest, I don't know why people can't be that way, the fear of offending is super strong. She never panned out, she's good enough but she's.......what an attractive women that can play base well enough, that's it, a bit of a novelty.
I like this interview. Everyone who hears Tal Wilkenfeld play can tell how elegantly intelligent she is.
Best bass player ever heard beautiful
‘I’ve never arrived, but am always arriving’ - great response to a good question.
Great interview btw. Really like their pairing.
She is one of those musical savants that come along every now and then. She just leaves you shaking your head going, "Wow."
Her eyes are simply stunning. She made certain to engage the camera when she addressed a question. As if she recognized that her audience, the ones enraptured with her response were present. Yes. In the very moment! Thank you, Tal!
Dear God, I love her hair!!!!!
And her bass playing by the way....
She is stunningly beautiful!!

she looks like a angel to me.
Woow Tal Wlkenfeld doing a cover of Last Goodbye by Jeff Buckley in intro.
This interviewer reminds me of Chris Farley's fanboy character, interviewing celebrities. "R-r-r-member, m-m-member when you were in the Beatles? That was awesome".
Tal with a Fender Precision into what looks like an SVT.Can't get better than that.
Tal is amazing! Can’t wait to meet her at The Stone Pony in June!

I'm sure Tal and the band are dying to see the incredible sights of Buffalo

Niagara Falls? If you're open, there's almost always interesting.
Dan Lum yes seeing the off ramp on the exit out of town !
Loved this interview! Laid back minus stupid contrived hype. Keeping it real with one very very talented lady. BIG up!!
She's a lovely level headed lady as well as a stunning bass player. Interviewer was a bit dull!
I think she liked his low-key style.
Wow!I'm in love.:))She's awesome.
Living in America is causing her to lose her much of her Australian accent. Just noting. She is such a great musician.
wow so amazing

Tal you're a babe. You are so beautiful, and your bass playing is incredible too.
Sounds like they were playing "Last Goodbye" by Jeff Buckley, at the intro.

Tal is one of those people whose accent is hard to put a place to. Course, she's been around the states almost as long as she had spent in Australia.
Was her band playing Last Good Bye by Jeff Buckley in the video?
yes
Interesting. My hometown is Buffalo, New York.
Hey Tal Still waiting by MetLife 😘
Has anyone been to the blah blah place?
Saxondale!
is her hair permed?
shwing!
I will this year a solo album will you with play in Love Jimi the Rat
8 people need their ears checked.
so what,was she 15 here ?
I don't think she cares one wit that the show is in Buffalo. It's a gig, one of many.
Johnny Botts And she gets paid!
I wish she'd marry Ron Thal - he's an amazing player but the main reason is that her name would be Tal Thal :-D
sorry, she can do way better
Prefer the Jazz bass sound she gets, warmer.
Where is her Aussie accent?
not all aussies sound like crocodile dundee. Her accent is well intact!
Looks like she lost her Aussie accent. Phenomenal player nonetheless.
It's still there mate
I wonder if she has a pet 🐨 Koala bear ???
