Many of us discovered her genius through her playing bass for Jeff Beck. It's astounding to discover so much more musical depth. Pure genius!
Tal is a impressive musician, she elevates not lowers the bar & can inspire the legends to be on their game. Tal & Jeff Beck were fantastic together.
Tal is a brilliant musician. I first was blown out of my seat watching the Jeff Beck show and wondering who is this amazing beast of a bass player. I also love her voice on the Love Remains LP. Just a pure musical treasure.
This hasn't even got a million plays yet?! HEY I feel so proud that I part of the first MILLION to view this. She is simply an astonishing musician.
Me too.
It's late 2020 and it still pisses me off how she is not a superstar goddess while Taylor Swift could buy and sell the world.
Just an amazing talent. Please don't stop Tal.
Like the guy said: You were born to this.
She's too smart and too good for the pop market , and she is a goddess , for those that have any taste in real music.
It's the Marketing Machine that makes pop stars, not necessarily talent. Mostly based on formulas and "perfect" electronic/synthesized music and, .....ahem...... "live" performances. What Tal is doing is real, pop music is more akin to WWE.
@@SilverBeardGuerilla She is fantastic talent wise but I wont be listening to any of her songs again. Just boring crap. No melody and no tune.
She makes intelligent complex music.
It’s not for everyone but those who understand and appreciate it are in for a treat.
Is it really that hard for you people to just appreciate her music without shitting on someone else??
MY first introduction to Tal was seeing her perform with Jeff Beck at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary. The thing that struck me was seeing this 19 year old girl (I think she was 19 at the time) holding her own on stage with Jeff Beck and Buddy Guy. She was playing like she was one of their peers. The amount of talent she had floored me. It comes absolutely no surprise to me she is enjoying success as a solo artist.
I've seen her yrs ago with Jeff and she is a little fireball ready to explode upon her generation. Amazing artist.
GO SEE HER.
Enough said.
I'll continue to say this about Miss Tal and it's simply this.....WE ARE ALL SO LUCKY TO HAVE HER SHARE HER GIFT WITH ALL OF US
It is so wonderful to see her being successful on her own as a completely self contained musician. I’m a fan.
Christ. Jeff Beck, Vinnie, Rundgren, Jackson Browne, crazy high praise. Excellent work, Tal!
Dale Clontz that’s because they all want to sleep with her; they’re laying it on too thick.
@@StoicContrarian That is called projection, my friend.
Michael Kent Smith dude she’s mediocre at best; he greatest assets are from the neck down. You want a genius musician guitarist try Orianthi.
@@StoicContrarian - LOL! Good, but not genius or great...
@@StoicContrarian Tal is a bass player first
Man, to have Jackson Browne tell you you're a great songwriter is the shit!
I am sure I have found a new musical love, just impressed by the maturity and quality of the compositions.
“This fight keeps me tied to the worst in me” That line always gives me chills. I just love her work. ☮️ Go Tal! Keep em comin please! 👍🏽🎧
I got ears for Tal and I'm 60Yo, she's incredible, expandable, wow cool!!!!
What an awesome bassist!
Music is "purely communicating from your soul" - That's BRILLIANT. Thanks, Tal. Genius.
You’re really fantastic! Been a fan since I stumbled upon your gig with Jeff Beck (as have many others!) Thanks for sharing your gifts with us all! 🤙🏻🎼
When I first saw Tal playing with Beck, I was like, "Who is this girl?" After being floored by her bass playing, a few years later I get a song of hers on my YT feed, and I'm asking "She can sing like that, too?" Crazy talent, she has!
I have become a Big fan, great new material absolutely loved you with Jeff Beck!
me too! greeting from bali island. please come :)
I absolutely loved her with Jeff Beck. I haven’t heard any of her music, apart from the little taste I got here. I’ll admit, I’m not gaga for it, but I haven’t always been keen on some of Jeff’s stuff till I gave it a chance, so I’ll delve in a little deeper and give Tal’s music a chance. Any recommendations for starters?
@@melodymakermark Yeah, check her first solo album (transformation). I would compare it to first album of Metheny - Bright size life. From what ive heard new one is really cool too.
.. playlist many 🙏💙
@@adamshaverlive4948 Well, as far as i know she released only two solo albums and several singles.
So ofc you can find on yt some awesome concerts with Jeff Beck or get Transformation and the new one - Love Remains.
tal go on writing and playing.we are so many appreciating your work and creativity.go on surprising us like you always do.
I love this great musician, she´s a diamond begins to shine on its own... tremendous charisma.

Love You Tal ! Please come to perform in Europe please ! We need more talent here !
A real artist in the internet age. Love it
Who on earth can give this video/story a thumbs down? Amazing story and journey. She's a role model for not only young musicians but to anyone who's trying too decide on and pursue their passion.
This is killer material, I'm ready for her next album.
It’s like she has direct contact with the universe and expresses her unique perspective on it to us through her music. She realizes that the body and her bass are only her instruments to that end. What an incredible and rare talent. I’m so glad I found her watching Jeff Beck.
Wow, she’s got talent ! I never realised she could sing !
watching her play with Jeff was eye opening
A talent of this magnitude only comes once in a while
Love you Tal. So Sorry for your loss.
I have followed you for quite a while wondering how this stunningly together, brilliant kid wound up on stage with Jeff Beck and a string of other stars when there are so many other great players with vast experience who might have taken each of those gigs. This gave me some insight as to how that came about. Thank you.
There is still so much to learn, all the same. The video leaves so much unsaid, when there is clearly so much going on around, with, and inside you. Please share more of it when you’re ready.
Thanks for video and for your music.
It's TAL!!! So I immediately subscribed. One of the very most talented and creative musicians I've ever seen! I didn't even know she can sing.. and sing with the best of them. As a harsh critic, I've become a fan of her solo material in seconds. Keep up the great work Tal!!❤
What a phenomenal talent! And such a decent and "down-to-earth" human being.
Just discovered you. You came into my YT feed on 10/24/23.
That blue skirt & those boots & of course the bass, vocals, songwriting. Tal, you are the whole package. I'm in my 60s. I miss Jeff Beck so much (1st vid of yours that came thru my feed); grew up listening to him; broke the cassette tape bc I played it so much but magically managed to mend it. I'm so glad you spent so much time with him & his dear wife Sandra. Definitely following your career now. Never stop being a #Badass.🎶
✌🏼🙌🏼🫶🏼
Tremendous charisma indeed. Such a talented and creative force.
Tremendos tits
Tal, I saw you and met you at the Troubadour when you kicked off your solo career. I'm a 30 year + producer/engineer/drummer. You are beautiful in every way possible.
Her on bass with Jeff Beck. Music history!!🔥
Just check oút Clapton's crossroad from Illinois. Yeah the one w/ Blind Faith reunion. F'incredable!!!!
When I perfect my Time Machine, I'll be in line at Ronny Scott's... But the vid is the best thing ever!
@@sunspot6502 do u mean Ronnie Scott sax player from the UK,not sure I see what he has to Tal. I Kno R. Scott was a talented sax player who opened up one of the first modern day jazz clubs in UK,🎷🎷🎷🎷

Granted the crossroads festival was like 14yrs ago. Her career was forged at this show. I luv to watch the crowd during the part 1 & 2 /2. ua-cam.com/video/V79owj81p0o/v-deo.html it's nothing new for her. No one hardly knew here name, wicked awesome she is awesome in every way!☮️🎶🎶🎶🕉️
you just got to love Tal, gifted player , amazing.
Thank you Jeff Beck for finding this brilliant musician
Jeff Beck did Not find her, there were many big time musicians who discovered her before she joined Jeff!
He made her known to the world tho and she earned the honor
Vinnie brought her the Jeff.
@@kennytrezza9930 Vinnie Rocks! My fave drummer and just listen to Trevor Rabin's song "Push".. Vinnie played on that track. WOW!
Thank U Tal....we met @ NAMM, many Moons ago, I think U were 14 yrs old or so, my friend Brian Bromberg introduced us..we walked around for awhile...U R an amazing Artist.
It doesn't seem fair that someone can be so incredibly talented and beautiful.
Your an inspiration to the world of music and life, NOTHING purer !! ROB XX
When you play the bass you exude joy and are seem so genuinely in your place and the space. And reaching bout to connect with the other players. Authenticity. I look forward to following your singer/songwriter journey.
She has single handedly brought attention to the bass like Mohammed Ali did for boxing. Her writing style also has brought attention to no more rules where anything goes as long as it works. "Killing Me" caught my attention.
Tal, you have the entire world's attention now.
Congrats, you must have a strong life force, driven, it's great that you were able to expand and not get pidgeonholed into just an amazing bass player.
It's amazing that you were born way after me and yet I have to look at you and learn a great deal from your art, from a bassist, writer and singer point of view. Can't stress enough how beautiful is the musical journey that I started so many years ago that offers me the opportunity of being inspired once again. Love.
Knew her as a bass player for awhile. But she has just opened up a whole other universe with her guitar playing and songwriting. Thank God someone came along to save music. Because I was in desperate need of something great and unique. Have to admit she caught me by surprise as a singer too. She's really special.
I was blown away by Tal when she did her first youtube video's. Blew me away. This little, young girl just totally in command of the bass guitar . Now she hangs out with Todd Rundgren. And get's to play with the greatest musicians of our time. Life is good.......
She is so damn happy on stage, that's what truly counts.
I first saw you playing with Jeff, Vinnie and Jason at Ronnie Scots. Best live set I've ever seen and heard. Best wishes for your career and thanks, Tal.
Talented in many ways..
I'm so incredibly relieved to see this. Innovation and genius are not gone! I can't wait to listen to more of her work. Fantastic!
Your music rocks Tal !❤✌
I saw you at crossroads '07 and fell in love. Picked up a bass because of you. Just absolutely awe inspiring!
I haven´t had chills like this since the first album from Jeff Buckley. They have the same cool energy and the voice...wow!!!
Mannnnnnn…I’m a gigantic fan of Tal’s since seeing the Beck video a few days back. Now to see this…it is really amazing to see her all around talent. It’s crazy really. Who can be this good? Where does that come from? In the end it doesn’t matter. It’s just great that it’s here. I look forward to see where she goes…but I’ll always remember the Jeff Beck video…
The first time I heard "Because we've ended as lovers" was from the Ronnie Scott's concert. That solo had me in tears. I was sold.
TAL is astonishingly a true talent she's great 👍
She's an old spirit in a young body...
OUTSTANDING !!!
Love her voice. So surprising to hear that tone. Reminds me of Ann Wilson. Less power, but phenomenal, unique vocal tone.
Nothing like Ann Wilson. Nothing at all.
With all due respect buddy... I don't know what you've been smoking, but it must be great! Of all the vocalists to compare her voice to, Ann Wilson probably would have been last on my list! Bob Dylan might be more like it. Ann Wilson never goes out of key, while Tal occasionally finds it! I wish she would just stick to her instruments, it's a little painful to watch.
Music is medicine this lady has powerful medicine.
New album: Tal Wilkenfeld and John Mayer "12 songs"
Just dreamin'
She's a Queen!!
Lovely, beautiful, great bassist and composer woman....she so cool!!!!!
I was expecting a little girls voice to come out!...she’s too much! So talented!💕💕💕
you are so awesome, wow, so much respect.

Thank you Tal for sharing your music. I’ve had Love Remains on repeat. Stunning. I wish you every success with it.
Just to echo all the joy from others here who first saw Tal playing bass with Jeff Beck, and then noticing her in the rhythm section on stage with others, and now discovering that to be the tip of the talent in that old soul. I hope to catch her tour.
I'll bet you've written some more wonderful stuff this past year and I'm very excited to hear it as well as see you onstage ASAP. Bless you, Tal, as you blessed us all.
Thanks Tal , you'are awesome, but mostly, THANK FOR BEING and speaking Spiritualty...bless and love from France
HER VIRTUOSITY IS INVERSELY PROPORTIONAL TO HER SPIRITUAL/INTELLECTUAL/EMOTIONAL EVOLUTION...SADLY. MILLENNIAL, AFTER ALL.
You are a gem Tal. It's been a pleasure to see you perform, be able to support your new album and have a chance to say hi on the road. Love and light!
Maravilhosa! Cercada de profissionais sensacionais! God Bless you, Tal
We LOVE YOU TAL!
This is the first time I've heard her speaking and kinda didn't expect the voice that came out of her, nice surprise...Also has anyone else noticed that Tal is flipping drop dead gorgeous?
Chills! This young woman is just what I needed to find a light to keep on shinin'... showing us the way home. We are HOME.
Tal is incredible
This video gives me goose pimples everytime i see it. I love the respectful comments everyone makes about her. Todd Rundgren said it best. I saw here first play a Fender Jazz Bass. The bass was almost larger than she was at that time. Yet she wielded it like she was born with it attached to her body and spirit.
so many big things already and so many bigger things to come. For most people jamming with Vinnie would be the pinnacle of your career, for her it was just the beginning. Like her version of a "garage" band had vinnie and jeff beck in it, crazy!!
Tal is so good.
Always an amazing instrumentalist, now an accomplished singer-songwriter. Go, Tal !
Wow! Love this beautifully talented woman
There really aren’t words to describe the talent she is. A teen who could hold her own and excel around giants like Jeff and Herbie? Her whole deal is an anomaly and mind blowing. She incredibly fascinating. To call her gifted is a great understatement. I don’t know if “generational talent” even comes close to describing her.
My idol.not only a bassist but a guitarist, songwriter and singer
I am really glad she is making a really big name for herself. I saw her with Jeff Beck years ago but she only played bass then. Man, that girl can sing.
The new album is f@cking f@ntastic.
wow - never heard of her...what a star.
If Jackson Browne likes your lyrics, you're doing good.
Simply incredible.
Absolutely incredible she is. Tal,, I hope you do a US tour in 2020 (Michigan)... i'll be there front row! ; )
Tal has an incredible passion for her craft. Tons of talent with an awesome range in her voice.
Inspiration to the hilt.
Tal W, awesomeness all over!
So in love with Tal.
A unique talent. Without doubt, one of our (Australia) finest musicians.
GOOD LUCK FOR EVER !!!!
What!!! That awesome bassist can also sing..... Damn!!! Wish i had even half her talent.... Gonna buy the new album
Someone bless you..with talent...and thank you for sharing it with us....!
