Did two closet purges in the past few years, one before the pandemic, and one during. It's heart-wrenching, but SO freeing! It also gave me a chance to figure out what kind of things look good on me, now that I'm older and my body's in a different configuration.

I cannot tell you how much I loved this video. I seriously sat here cracking up, which kept making my husband laugh. I love your personality and I love your confidence. You are SO RIGHT about not holding onto stupid clothes from when we were "skinnier" or when we will be "skinny", but to just embrace the body we have right now and wear what makes us feel great in the body we have. You came to that realization much earlier in life than I did, which is awesome. I freaking love you! Thank you for giving me closet cleanout motivation, and helping me embrace my body just the way it is!

I feel like I have the weirdest issue...
I don't like clothes shopping. I rarely do it, and I usually end up pissed off by it. So I keep my clothes for YEARS - like literal decades (obvs not undies 🙄 I replace those but tend to go for similar stuff most of the time) I'm currently wearing a t-shirt that's 18 years old 😅 I take care of my clothes and only get rid of them if they become unwearable or I just didn't like them.
BUT I still go through and chuck/donate stuff every year.
I realised yesterday as I was trying on a 'new' outfit (I bought the stuff between 6-12 months ago 😅 and am only just deciding to wear) that it's the first new clothing I've bought in two years....omg
LOL, Im literally the same and most of the time I’m not mad about it all all, but every now and then I need a specific outfit for an event and I pull out a combo and I’m like f*** I don’t feel that good in it anymore. Not because the clothes are ugly but because I feel my style has developed a bit. And then 6 months later when I have to go to something similar, I will wear the same combo again, and think the same thoughts. 😅 I need to get a few new pieces I think 😅

as a person who constantly goes on walks with earbuds in, i don't wear earbuds at night but i feel reasonably confident in doing it during the day as long as you're aware of your surroundings. i'm also naturally unapproachable though so that probably helps

I feel like with normal people going through the normal motions of life tend to be bigger than they were in their youth. I have only gained a couple of pounds since I turned 32 (a pound or 2 each). But my body accepts the new normal. I don't look much bigger than how I used to be as well. So the major change is the number on the scale.
As long as I take care of myself the best I can and eat mostly healthy, it is okay. haha
