    As a Pakistani who absolutely loves Gulab Jamun and knows what they should look like, those were literally perfect Naomi!! They're a very popular dessert in the Pakistani/Indian cuisine which you can also have with some vanilla ice cream and they taste even better!

      It´s safe to eat.

    As a Japanese person, I'm so happy that Naomi liked the Natto ^-^ even many Japanese people don't like it because of the smell or the stickiness. I've actually never seen natto with avocado like that. maybe I'll try it too

    I’m pretty sure the acid in the Fanta just curdled the cream in the eggnog, also can I just say how I love Naomi’s attitude towards making or trying any food that’s foreign to her??       Nah, something was off with her eggnog. I'm not sure exactly what, though. My family does Spritenog at holidays to cut the thickness of eggnog. Never had that happen.

      its not really eggnog, its eggliquor, which is usually way less thick (idk why hers was so thick) You can mix egg liquor with acidic drinks and this shouldnt happen... But also the Person said "a shot" of the eggnog, and Naomi added more like 3😭 Actually "schuss" is more like, the amount of oil you put into a pan when you wanna cook something

    My BF is indian and his mom makes that last dish all the time and donates a lot of them to the temple as well! It is soooo good and sweet and syrup-y LOL

    I love that the "(hundreds and thousands)" portion of the fairy bread suggestion got interpreted as a numerical amount, but I think they were actually referring to the name of the tiny round-shaped sprinkles!

    Hi Naomi, I'm Portuguese, from Porto... and vegetarian too. You did amazing with the Francesinha! Honestly the secret is the sauce so if you can make a good autenthic one its gonna taste great regardless of using actual meat alternatives or some other veggies inside... a lot of places started having vegetarian Francesinhas in the last year which is amazing for us Portuenses (people from porto) that are vegetarian since Francesinhas are a really big thing when going out for dinner here. :)

    The fairy bread is acually often served at children's parties in in Australia and New Zeland, and that person didn't mean that you should put hundrets an thousand of sprinkles, but that you should put sprinkles that's called "hundrests and thousands"😆it's a special kind of sprinkles for making fairy bread

    THOSE GULAB JAMUNS WERE SPOT ON!!!!!! It warmed my heart up so much they looked perfect!!! They're normally just really a little sweet treat and too much of them makes you regret life choices due to the amount of syrup in them but they looked PERFECT! You can also heat them up and serve them with vanilla ice cream and a little bit of mint as a garnish to make them less crazy sweet!

    as someone who lives in the deep south, hearing her say “cajun” as “kahoon” was so funny to me. i love hearing the way people from other countries pronounce such odd words in english lol. “cajun” is pronounced “kay-gin.” :)

      It’s so funny to me when people from english speaking countries expect others to have a perfect accent :) I didn’t know Cajun was american, well french-american, I had to google. I thought it was pronounced like Naomi did, because I assumed it was spanish… It doesn’t look like a typical english word, which it honesly isn’t either so 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Ich kannte dich nicht - mir wurde aber kürzlich ein Video von Dir vorgeschlagen und seitdem suchte ich jedes Video. Egal ob es um Essen geht oder Klamotten etc. Ich liebe deinen Humor und deine Art. Gerade bei den Essens-Videos finde ich es wahnsinnig toll, dass du großen Wert darauf legst die Gerichte aus anderen Kulturen möglichst authentisch nachzukochen bzw. dazu sagst, dass Zutat XY jetzt nicht gerade authentisch war. Wenn du nicht riesig auf youtube wärst bzw. nicht so bekannt wärst und hier umme Ecke leben würdest wären wir vermutlich beste Freunde :D

    Omgg Naomi as an Indian I m so proud of you the Gulam Jamun looks really good and identical to the real thing ps. Maida is basically All purpose flour. Btw you can also buy ready made mix for literally every Indian sweets so try that some of them too

    PS: I myself have never made gulab jamun the traditional way lol. I've always used an instant mix packet that comes with the power and all u gotta do it make it into a dough and then fry and soak in sugar water.

    Love this! Fairy bread is a kids birthday party staple in Australia. 100s and 1000s refers to the type of sprinkles used not the quantity. They are more like tiny round candy balls than regular sprinkles.

    Omg that egg boil looks so good! In the south (Louisiana specifically) it’s also commonly eaten with crawfish which is a small lobster-like shellfish. You did a great job Naomi the sauce looks amazing!!

    I love that you try so many different cultural foods and make all of them yourself ~ I've only had pre-made gulab jamuns so big kudos to you. As a vegetarian I really appreciate seeing all of the vegefied recipes! The Portuguese sandwich and the potato egg boil look so good ~ I always thought the sauce of seafood boils looked so good but never thought to make it veggie. I was laughing so hard at the eggnog at the end

    Honestly, @naomijon ...Your cooking instincts when improvising are really legit! You say youre not a great cook, but girllll! Your substitutions (like proper vegan meats or certain starch for slurries....[...btw...SLURRIES GIRL!?... straight up PRO...nice job]).....and the lil strainer JUST to make sure none of the [?] balls didn't scorch and make them cook evenly...great move. Super impressed with your cooking/prep skills in this video!

    I'm on my husband's UA-cam watching your videos and I can't express how thankful I am for your videos because I've used your videos to make many meals at home and the egg boil was one and I had made mine with corn on the cob I would be careful how long you let the corn sit in the sauce because it makes the corn soggy and squishy and just 🤢 but the rest was so amazing🥰💜
