Very recently i gained weight I lost during an ED, I had to buy new clothes literally yesterday because my clothes no longer fit, I'm so thankful you did this, it's hard enough to admit to oneself you can't fit in clothes, to do it for the whole internet and being living proof that you don't need to be skinny to be pretty, I'm sure many of us have this issue, that when you see other medium/plus size women we think how pretty they look, unlike us, it's a testament to how blind we are to our own beauty and only see it in others, because I can't help but wonder how you look so pretty on these crop tops and I look awful in crop tops, thank you very much and to all the comments helping to see it's an universal experience and I'm not alone in these feeling of insecurity.
Honestly love this , specially the commentary because it's literally how i talk to myself when getting rid of clothes that don't fit. so relatable.
My problem is always buying sizes up in clothing even when I can probably fit in a smaller size.., I just always see myself as being so much bigger than I am which is sad but yknow I live with it,,, moral of the story,,,,,,,, I always end up taking in my skirts 😅 also don’t be like me, constantly looking in the mirror while sucking in and seeing how I’d look thin… it’s really messed me up.

This whole video is the embodiment of, "It's not that you don't fit your clothes, it's that your clothes don't fit you." I LOVE your confidence, and it's honestly quite emotional sometimes realizing, "Wow ten years ago I would've hated myself for wearing this, and now I'm heavier/the same weight and feel amazing." Like it's the physical demonstration that it was all a matter of perception (which doesn't invalidate the experience but certainly contextualizes it).
And also so many of those tops were pretty as they were, but they just did not do the job for YOU and your gorgeousness. They were like, "I live my life like every job is a minimum wage job," and you were like, "Yeah sorry I'm the f***ing CEO of this bitch and I need you to step it up or gtfo."

As someone who is finally getting out of a plateau. I found that once I stopped collecting clothes that were too small and put my energy into changing my diet, it felt easier to lose weight. I stopped buying clothes in general and the money I save goes more to the grocery store, trying new recipes.

I love you in the white and orange colors. Your skin is so pretty. Something you said struck a chord with me. You talk about buying things and wearing them when you felt good about yourself. As human beings it is important to feel good about ourselves. I hope we all gain the wisdom to feel good about ourselves in multiple ways. We can feel good about how we look, how we love, how we organize our lives, our intelligence, our studiousness, our physical strength, our discipline, our creativity, our reliability, our generosity, etc. You my dear, have a lot of reasons to feel good about yourself.
I lose weight and feel great about how I look but I never maintain it. I wonder if it’s because I sometimes don’t feel good about myself as a whole human being? I’m 54 and no longer scared to look at these things!

For the last month, once a week I have been rounding up clothes that either don't fit because I have gained weight or no longer reflect where I am in my life and style. I am from South Africa and we have a lot of ladies who sells second hand clothes in markets for a living and it has been great to see them be able to make a few bucks from my purchases. Plus I no longer have a closet full of clothes that make me feel bad about my body.
Stumbled across this video, when you said you were going through a really dark time in your life and dressing up made you feel better, hit me. I did the same exact thing in the worst time of my life. I was also smaller than I am now 😅 just felt that 100% girly! Change is good. ♥️

I used to hoard my clothes ALL THE TIME. Till i ran out of space for all my clothes. Even if something wasn’t even my style anymore, i would keep it bc i would think “well maybe i’ll wear it one day!” Yeaaahhh no. Also kept clothes that didn’t fit me anymore bc I thought that would motivate me to lose weight. Nope. My closet is much better now. I love ur videos! Cause at least from our point of view it seems like her mental state that was revolving around these clothes and the attachment to these clothes that she wanted to keep to showcase her weight loss has come a long way and she's finally not beating herself up (at least nowhere near as much)

You’re gorgeous girl don’t ever feel insecure! I went from being super skinny to overweight so fast and let me tell you I have come to love my body. Did you know that in a lot of other countries they consider thicker women to be healthier and look better. So whenever you feel like you need to change your body remember that you are a QUEEN. Our bodies are meant to go through change so learn to love it ❤. Our bodies are out here surviving for us so let’s respect them and love them.

fei, i love your videos but i worry that you using language like "i wanna hide ____" or "this makes me look skinny/ thinner", is doing more harm to yourself and defeats the whole purpose of removing these clothes from your closet! youre so beautiful, and i really want you to have a body neutral impact especially on younger viewers :)
I get what you mean but body neutrality isn’t about always loving your body. It’s about accepting that you’re not always going to feel positively about it and giving people the space to work those feelings out, while recognizing that it’s normal and that your body is enough as is.
Sometimes it can be reassuring to see that other people also struggle with their body image at times.

I haven’t heard her say one thing saying my body isn’t good enough for this top. Idk she definitely deserves more credit. Plus people make progress when we compliment the baby steps. We shouldn’t always criticize every thing they do, what matters is she is trying. Her battle isn’t over yet.

I kept clothes from my days when I was two sizes smaller & like you I believed that one day I’d be back to my lighter self..but..several years later I’ve embraced my larger size & have thrown out the smaller items & bought clothes that fit me how I am now. Don’t live in the past, move on & live for today, your younger smaller days are gone but the size you are today is just as awesome, how we feel is all in our heads. This was really great for me to watch since I also still have a lot of clothes in boxes in the attic which I wore when I was about 15 kilos lighter. I will never get back to that weight, because I was a swimmer and now I am hella curvier. Which I am totally fine with! :) So time for me to start making decisions about what to keep and adjust so I can wear it, or what to toss.
I also like a lot of the upper part/straps of some of your tops, which I can make myself (since I can sew).
So I am definitely leaving this video with motivation & inspiration. Thank you!
