I am loving this "cleansing" project. As someone that gained weight because of Covid and my moms stroke, and it's like I'm punishing myself for gaining weight by keeping clothes that don't fit me. The approach you have is so healthy and I want to follow it.

Pure Dawn dish soap will probably get the oil stain out. I usually keep some near my hamper, rub it on the spot, machine wash a few days later. Repeat until it’s gone.

Try spraying dry shampoo on the oil stain. I think after, you blow dry it. I didn't blow dry it once and just put the shirt in the washer, and that worked too.
