Whats your opinion on memories & how they handled the Zelda situation!
I personally love it, very bitter sweet and yet a beautiful way to tell the story
ugh i remember after the final memory i grabbed the flowers (after doing my squat of respect) and then flung myself up to sit on zelda’s head for a little bit while i wiped my tears lmao. such a bittersweet moment, and the music is incredible
it's like being hit with a brick when you see her flowers everywhere 😭😭

Recovering the Master Sword while wearing the WHOLE Tingle outfit before doing ANY of the glyphs is the unholiest gameplay I've ever heard of!!!
I have my unhinged moments for sure 😂

@@kayemm_86 I know it's a reference, but do you realize what that statement has the potential to inspire? Like, I don't know what could be unholier than that, but the idea scares me.
i figured out that the sword was there bc of the quest marker lmfao, me and a coworker (this job gets very stressful mr krabs) were watching me glide over her head and i went “is that like a horn what is that? oh my god that’s- * gasp *” and accidentally spoiled that for him lmfao
What the developers could have done was that no matter what "Tear" you went to first, it would show you the very next memory in sequence. Then the memories would have been in seen order and the locations they were found would be different for every player.
i LOVE that idea! I think that would've been a great way to tell the story without giving the player whiplash & help make the memories more impactful!
The first thing I thought of when I saw that reveal in the last Dragon Tear memory was, "She took the long way home." 😢❤

it's crazy how different the game can look depending on where in the story you are!
@@TheVintagePotato Big time, even if you grabbed the sword before dropping the sword off to Zelda she looks different when you do grab the sword. Glitch method though since normally you can't do this. But when you do, do this, she becomes invisible and you can only see the sword.

You know. . When I first learned of the sacrifice that Zelda made in the distant past to repair and recharge the Master Sword for Link. . . .an even sadder revelation dawned on me:
If anyone here can recall in the background story of Breath of the wild, Zelda had been STRUGGLING - since childhood, with hardly any help or support from her Dad- to awaken the sealing power of Hylia's bloodline through countless acts of prayer and deication as best as she could (even to a point where she nearly caught hypothermia at one of the divine springs). Sadly, these efforts were met with little success, only for the power to finally kick start and burst forth at the beginning hours of the 100 year calamity incident, when she threw herself to shield an injured Link from an oncoming attack of a posessed Stalker. . .
Well, here's the sad revelation that dawned on me: What if, maybe, the reason /WHY/ Zelda's sacred power didn't manifest the whole time until the calamity. . Was because it was actually being channeled somewhere else. . By Zelda's future Draconic self pouring as much of that power to finish fixing and recharging the Master Sword, and no one else was aware of that fact. . .
I'm sorry if that doesn't sound like it makes sense, but that thought crossed my mind, and caused me to UGLY CRY for young Zelda back then, who had been trying her absolute best through dedicated prayers to unlock her sealing light power, while in reality, it was being channeled elsewhere by a future version of her. . 😢
oooh, no this is a sad but amazing revaluation!
Zelda was doing her best to channel that power but, he past self was zapping it up to heal the broken master sword... that so sad and yet so beautiful.
I'm going to be thinking of this for awhile now
@tagePotato Yup, it's quite a depressing doozy of a revelation that had dawned on me back then, and I still tear up a bit whenever I think back on it. You'd be correct though in regards of this version of Zelda in the Era of the wilds- Between restraining Ganon for 100 years since the start of the Calamity, and then being sling-shotted to the far distant past to meet her ancestral great-grandparents ((Bless Rauru and Sonia's hearts btw, they sure gave her a lot more support than Rhoam did -which I'm STILL CROSSED at him for the lack of parental support during her struggle-, at least as much as they could. )), the poor girl REALLY couldn't catch a dang break at all.
Plus, what's worse, there a FREAKING phantom copy of Zelda waltzing about Hyrule in the present causing trouble and making a mockery of our good-hearted Scholarly princess ((Seriously, GDI Ganon, that creep)).
Anyhow, I'm glad you understood the basic jist of my theory about Zelda's earlier struggle with unlocking the sealing power of Hylia's Bloodline, though I'm sorry it made you sad too.

This is the problem with TOTK.
I myself did too much exploring the world to where I ran into a massive spoiler that ruins the suspense of the story for me.
This is why I prefer the classic traditional format for Zelda games. The developers should’ve just kept the players do things in order.
yeah, I wish I didn't find the MS so soon before finishing the memories + I started them out of order until someone gave me a list of what to do first!
still amazing, but the feeling of grabbing the sword after experiencing the memories would've been even more impactful!
idk I wish with some things the game forced it to happen in a specific order. That being said, I love the open world and being able to just mindlessly explore Hyrul!
I'm a big open world fan, but certain storytelling aspects should be done in a linear way
