The torch that’s there isn’t a message for dark environment, that’s Zelda’s Master Torch.
Wow, can't believe I missed this. Such an awesome detail.
Kinda funny how over board he went with timeliness and theories and yet he didn't realize that was zeldas torch
So that’s what the npc in Botw had!
@@mrtree1368 heat of the moment, jimbo.
THE MASTER TORCH RETURNS!!!!!
I saved my Hylian Shield and Master Sword SPECIFICALLY for this fight, and he DEMOLISHED the shield. I couldn't imagine a more fitting enemy to destroy it.
i'm a little late but if the master sword is on cooldown it will regenerate immediatly for the boss fight. you'll just have to fuse something to it to make it stronger
I love the continuity that the torch at the bottom is the one that fell with Zelda at the start of the game
Wait what do you mean and what timestamp so I can see this
@@AuroraEthan The cutscenes at the start of the game where Zelda is falling, she drops her torch and this one on the ground is that same torch from the beginning.
@@AuroraEthan 1:39 You can see the torch Zelda had in her hand when she fell at the start of the game.
fun fact: if you take the cam out of bounds in the final cutscene, Link smiles when Zelda says “warm, loving embrace”
AHHHH MY HEART
How?
AWW
@@judebuendia5349 You gotta take the camera out of bounds and the player isn’t really meant to see it.
bro is there a video for this
Ah that priceless face one makes when they realize, that you aren't the only one with a flurry rush.
This is what a game makes a game. This isn’t just a game nor sequel, it’s a god damn masterpiece
There has never been a more perfect package. This game is everything. The Shawshank Redemption of games
@@michaelstephenperry975 it is certainly not perfect. Plenty of issues. Still one of the best though
That’s definitely not true.
game is great but the ease of access to mobility kind of ruined exploration for me, as well as a story that SHOULD be linear but isn't (memories out of order etc) in my opinion botw and elden ring are both better
@@carlsmith4568 well nothing's perfect, even shawkank redemption
The fact the game begins in the depths with Link unable to reach Zelda’s hand and it ends in the sky with Link now reaching and holding Zelda’s hand, completing the cycle, plus giving the player the option to reach and hold Zelda’s hand, what an experience. 👏🏼
I've heard that the title of the song that plays when he's trying to catch her in the end is "Not This Time" (depending on the translation)
17:39 I always love the reaction to the health bar “UM!? ITS NOT STOPPING! WHY ISN’T IT STOPPING!?”
(I had the same reaction)
This fight breaks the common sense the rest of the game gives you
My mouth was hung open for awhile, lol. Took me six tries to get through that phase, mostly because I had no gloom recovery (did that intentionally to give myself a challenge). I beat him with only ONE non-gloom heart left. I was shaking, SOOOOOO SATISFYING! I gave him the finger after I was so pumped, haha.
I think the reason Ganon or Ganondorf wasn't mentioned in the Demon Dragon's name is because of draconification making you lose everything that makes you you. Ganondorf lost that. There was no more Ganondorf. Just a spirit of malice (haha) whose sole intention was to kill Link.
Adding to this, that's also the reason why he couldn't have given a final speech. He wasn't there anymore. Ganondorf destroyed everything he was in the pursuit of victory, sacrificing his mind, and his very identity. He essentially died as a rabid animal
The Hyrule Compendium does say absolutely nothing remains of Ganondorf in this form so that's exactly right
This truly is the perfect way to end the saga of the wild. Light and Darkness in their purest form fighting for the fate of the world.
@@fable23 fitting seeing as how that's what he's always been. Ganondorf was always a feral monster. In his last moments the outside finally reflected what was on the inside
It’s somewhat consistent. Zelda is simply called “light dragon” after she turned. Although the other 3 dragons still have names, so they might’ve gained their form in another matter
This is my favorite Ganondorf boss fight ever. This better get GOTY!
There's literally no game that can compete with it this year maybe final fantasy but even thats a big stretch considering how 15 went diablo could but i dont think it overthrows tears
@@confused234milo9 Facts. I saw a guy trying to say that PIZZA TOWER was good competition for Tears of the Kingdom when it comes to Game of the Year lol, it's a good game but tears is just too good, nothing can compete.
This game has so much going for it. The building mechanics alone are just amazing and the amount of things people have built is just insane. There’s so much to do in this world and the story is amazing.
I usually don’t cry in video games but the end of FFX made me ugly cry and this game came really close to that. When you realize what happened to Zelda that made me cry.
@@pillowcaseee Spider man 2,starfield
I’m going to be so pissed if it doesn’t. It better and it will.
Also I had no idea Zelda was throwing her body against the projectiles until I replayed it and saw her constantly swooping in front of me while I was diving she really did everything she could
I also wondered why Demon Dragon didn't just leave the area until someone told me Zelda was preventing him from leaving by circling him. Idk why this makes me emotional!
Seeing Mineru's construct deactivated was more of a gut punch than I was expecting.
His reaction to Ganondorf’s flurry rush 🤣
I replayed that part like 3 times🤣
I love that during his 2nd form when he knocks everyone down and takes your hearts, I just said can I hit the projectiles back and indeed you can! They kept tennis volley battles! XD
Oh my gosh, I am so dumb! That move gave me so much trouble trying to dodge it, and I never thought of volleying them back. Well at least I know what to do on my 2nd playthrough.
Damn it, I’m an idiot
Damn, I'm dumb too lmao
14:27 Your reaction to getting Flurry Rushed is PRICELESS
To be honest when he dodged my flurry rush I was completely stunned then leaned in knowing THIS WAS A FIGHT
i waiting one more reaction getting flury rushed on flurry rushed..but it not happened on HMK fight
My reaction was more stubborn lol. He did it and I was like big whoop ganon dork. I can do that move too!
Then he kept doing it perfectly and I was like... Okay this is a problem!
I flipped out my first attempt going thru this… he flurry rushed my flurry rush after I flurry rushed his flurry rush…. He got me after that one because I was too dumbfounded that he was THAT SMART. Very well programmed boss.
AN ABSOLUTE TREASURE OF A GAME... STELLAR IN EVERY WAY
Able to relive him or created malice shouldn't possible in the past but after 2,000 able to be reborn.

You know what?
That SkyFall sequence reminded me of the other game, you know the one
"Dive to Heart"
This ending was sooooo awsome and cool can never tired of watch it 10 out 10

The torch at the bottom is Zelda's when she fell
This was the best final boss and finale to any zelda!
It's probably tied with OoT and TP for me but I honestly believe this is the best finale and epic ending for sure
@@Zephhi is OOT that good? I haven’t played it yet but what people say about it i just can’t believe lol, currently playing through wind waker then ill play OOT
@@yamz1156 its amazing, but alot of people look at it with nostagia tinted glasses lol.
@@yamz1156 The game is objectively overrated, but it's easily a top 3 Zelda game. The music is amazing, the story is amazing, the gameplay is amazing (dungeons, items, side quests). You said you're playing Wind Waker and it's 100% better than Wind Waker. I think Wind Waker is easily the most overrated Zelda game in the franchise, the art style must blind people at how much of a slog that some parts of that game are
@YamZ
It was amazing for its time. It's a bit hard to play nowadays because of the awkward early 3d graphics. Still a great game though. Try the 3DS version I you can.
I strongly suspect that in whatever form of Master Mode that gets released with the future DLC, Ganondorf will actually strike back at you when he flurry rushes you...
EDIT: I'm so happy someone else noticed Sonia-Rauru-Link as a triforce set- a balanced, working one, rather than the one Ganondorf has imbalanced to the point of eons of conflict. Thanks for that!
I don’t think anyone expected a FREAKING KAIJU BATTLE was going to be the TotK final boss. And it is SO WELCOME
I love the Triforce dynamic at the end with Rauru, Link and Sonia. Sonia is wise enough to know that while there's no forward way out of draconification, with enough power it may be possible to rewind Zelda to before she swallowed the stone. Rauru is shown to be extremely powerful throughout the game and so obviously he supplies that here. Then Link ( the only one of them who is actually alive) is courageous enough to actually try it. I believe their combined power was able to recall Zelda about 10,000 years.
I knew that it was some sort of Übercharged Recall that brought her back, but the way you described it is RAD.
The torch is Zelda’s torch from the beginning
Omg yes thats so detailed
Link finally reached her in the end.
HE DID IT
The way the final fight organically leads to five simultaneous 1v1s happening between Ganondorf, Link and the Sages, letting you group up or go it alone as you want is absolutely amazing
When Zelda closes her eyes and says "thank you", in Latin Spanish she quickly says "te debo la vida", which means "I owe you my life", and I think that makes it even more emotional than what it currently is.
How I see it with Ganon's final form (and the reason why it's called Demon Dragon) is that there is no "Ganondorf" left, he sacrificed everything to assume ultimate power and nothing more - he's no longer a man with endless ambition, he's been reduced to a monster whose only goal is to destroy Hyrule and cast it into darkness.
This whole fight the whole way through is so god damn awesome, I'm so glad Nintendo redeemed themselves compared to how Calamity Ganon was in BOTW - my game of the year for sure! :D
Man, this is crazy. I remember watching your reaction to BotW's final trailer six years ago, and here were are now at the end of this long journey. And holy crap, what a journey it was! Two masterpieces back to back. I'm so happy to be a Zelda fan right now and can't wait to see what comes next!
Don't forget Age of Calamity since it is a direct spinoff to Breath of the Wild.
Only thing that made me mad was i was lowkey SOBBING at the end like "HE DIDNT CATCH HER IN THE BEGINNING AND HES DAMN SURE GONNA CATCH HER NOW" I was a wreck but Link was like 😑. Makes me miss Skyward Sword Link bc he was sobbing running and pounding on that crystal for his girl. This one was just like ok cool 😂
apparently if you go out of bounds in the cutscene, when Zelda mentions the 'warm loving Embrace', Link's smiling.
Link just doesn’t wear his emotions on his sleeve in these games. He’s stoic and focused, especially when he has a job to do (when Zelda’s around, that’s 24/7 lol).
Don’t mistake that for emotionless or blank, it’s just how he is
@@aidorygregan3849 he's not stoic. Remember the memory of Link and Zelda in the rain and Zelda has that breakdown? Compare his eyes in that scene to literally anything in TotK. They refused to have him emote for some stupid reason.
@@dave_the_slick8584 No, they're right. There's a page in Zelda's diary in BOTW, page 5 specifically, that addresses Link's lack of outward emotion. Here's the entry:
"Bit by bit, I've gotten Link to open up to me. It turns out he's quite a glutton. He can't resist a delicious meal!
When I finally got around to asking why he's so quiet all the time, I could tell it was difficult for him to say. But he did.
With so much at stake, and so many eyes upon him, he feels it necessary to stay strong and to silently bear any burden.
A feeling I know all too well... For him, it has caused him to stop outwardly expressing his thoughts and feelings.
I always believed him to be simply a gifted person who had never faced a day of hardship. How wrong I was...
Everyone has struggles that go unseen by the world... I was so absorbed with my own problems, I failed to see his.
I wish to talk with him more and to see what lies beneath those calm waters, to hear him speak freely and openly...
And perhaps I, too, will be able to bare my soul to him and share the demons that have plagued me all these years."
@@VaraxEstin And the fact that he is emoting the most he ever has before when Zelda is breaking down in his arms, we can safely assume he's moved past that stoicism.
I had the same reaction with that ridiculous health bar 😂
15:30 _finally_ someone who sees the updraft attack and understands what the game's trying to tell you to do, the number of people who don't have that internalized...
Seriously? I thought that attack would be obvious considering the updraft visual.
@Darkstorm25 I know, right? Like, I can get the gloom blasts ganondorf shoots being returnable not being obvious, it's a brand new mechanic and only barely hinted at by one of the attack patterns being perfect for a spin attack, but.
The only thing I can guess is that it has something to do with TotK not introducing the concept of "seemingly causeless updraft during attack animation, use it" in mandatory fights, while BotW introduced it and had it mainly in test of strength shrines, but even so...
@@danieljames1868 Wait, you can RETURN the gloom blasts?! I didn't know you can do that! Wow, that really takes me back to the Ghirahim fights in Skyward Sword.
Regarding the updraft attacks, I guess it's just a benefit of having played BOTW, so I already had experience seeing the visual, especially if none of TOTK's bosses had a similar attack. Still think it would be kinda obvious on what to do, especially on the second attack onward.
Returning Ganons blasts are not a new mechanic. I figured it out on the second try. He killed me on the first (I tend to lean on parry rather than flurry rush and failed haha). But yeah second try I was like “wait a second” and then the Zelda 3 reflexes from my childhood kicked in. Spin attacking the surrounding gloom is so satisfying
@Tor well. Not new for the series at least. New relative to BotW and TotK, at least.
They're a very welcome return, IMO
I had the same reaction when Link fell back and the white light engulfed him - very reminiscent of Ganondorf getting sealed away in the Sacred Realm!
Was the dragon fight incredibly easy? Yes. Was it also awesome and stupidly fun with a final strike that was satisfying as fuck? Yes.
The dragon battle was the cinematic reward for getting through the challenge of the previous three phases of Ganondorf.
Mark my words, that shot of Link reaching for Zelda backlit by the sun is going to become just as - if not more - iconic than BotW's cliffside intro. Not just for Zelda, but for gaming in general. Ever since finishing the game for the first time, when I think of TotK I think of THAT image.
Dragons are immortal in not aging, they can still be killed
Like the other person said: "immortal" and "invincible" are two different things. The elves from Lord Of The Rings are immortal for example.
They get their immortality from the secret stone so makes sense if you destroy it, you destroy the dragon.
In Japan, there is the word "ascending dragon''. Initially, the "ascending dragon'' is said to be the appearance of a dragon returning to the sky after entrusting a jewel he brought from heaven to people.
So, this legend begins with the Zonau tribe descending from the sky bringing a secret stone and ends with Ganondorf ascending to the sky, losing the secret stone.
My guess is this.
This game unexpectedly became one of my favorite stories and games because of the whole end sequence. It was super fun and reminiscent of kingdom hearts
Yeah it’s gave me Xehanort and Ansems vibes especially with the long ass health bar
That final piece of music though. Makes you really feel those 37 years just the same as BoTWs final piece did as well
I didn't think they could ever make a final boss as epic as the ones we got in Ocarina or Wind Waker but somehow they just made the best one. 😁
this whole end sequence really elevates this game
Just finished it today and was just in awe. Havent felt like this playing a game since I was a kid
Just beat the game myself, and yep, this was an incredible finale! Glad to see you enjoyed it just as much as I did!
I legit LOST IT when Ganondorf's health bar kept going at the start of phase 2. Funniest 4th wall break I've seen in a while. And that final fight against the dragon form was INCREDIBLE to experience. And yep, right there with you on the catching Zelda moment. They didn't have to make that moment playable, but they did, and WOW it felt great to do what Link failed to do at the start of the game.
And hey, another bonus: Now that I've beaten the game myself, I can go back and binge all the TOTK content I've been avoiding all this time!
I did the same thing going into the finale with the light horn fused to the master sword. May not be the strongest thing to fuse, but it's about sending a message!
I did too! Makes me so happy to see other players having the same idea. In a sense, Zelda herself delivered the final blow!
I finally beat the game yesterday. This was outstanding. Easily the best Ganon fight in all of Zelda.
I agree with the final monologue idea. I know he's a dragon, so hes not conscious anymore, but they could have at least given us something that he WOULD say. I would have loved him to say what the OoT Ganondorf said when he was sealed:
*"Curse you, Zelda... Curse you, Sages... Curse you LINK!!"*
Then he explodes into nothingness. That would have made me go crazy!
That would have been ass OMG
Given the lore we get about the dragons here (they lose their body and mind), I don't think a monologue would've really been appropriate unless he somehow returned to human form first.
@@GestridYeah, I already addressed that by saying that it would be what he WOULD say, not what he's actually saying. I stated that I already jnow that they lose their conscienceness in my original comment. I just wanted it as a nostalgia trip
@@royolaniye6643Aight calm down. Lol Its just a game.
Hahaha your reaction to Ganondorf’s final transformation was priceless. I was freaking out jumping up and down in my chair. They pulled out all the stops for this game. Gg dude 👏
They really gave us a "gwen stacy" moment and I was fucking screaming.
Link redeemed himself from the very beginning of the game. This was truly fantastic. Easily my favorite Zelda game by far.
This is now my favorite final boss anywhere
This ending is so friggin' perfect. Sonia and Rauru help Link turn Zelda back to normal as a final act of love to Zelda and as a means of fulfilling their promise to send her back home all those centuries ago. It's so beautiful and heartfelt. And the way Link reawakens Zelda with a "warm, loving embrace." So romantic! 🥰
"Noooooo!.. oh, I thought he was gonna take a bite" xD
A Bite Outta Crime!
Peak Ganondorf.
The most intimidating incarnation and the one that feels most like your actual equal in combat.
I love that I wasn't the only one who used the light dragons horn with the mastersword. I also used a dragon scale for the shield
My first thought was that was the torch that fell with Zelda at the beginning of the game.
It is
Your reaction to the health bar going beyond the normal limit was amazing haha. Great video!
Remember when the Former Sages said their powers were useless against Ganondorf, they really mean ot Because none of the Abilities of the New Sages harm Him and the Phantom Ganons.
Seeing Ganondorf taken on a form of a dragon is what I thought it’s the coolest!
The nostalgia, the renewal, the emotion, the utter ridiculous changes to the surface, the depths, the skies. Ganondorf… the..fcking…music… this game destroyed me and as a true OoT fan I dare to say, this is the only game that gave me the feeling I had when I was a child playing OoT. It looks like Nintendo created areas to look like how one would remember the locations through a child’s eye playing his favourite game. First time I felt that was diving into death mountain and seeing the sentence “fire temple” appear on my screen, that’s when I had my first “they actually did it” moment… the way it was built gave me that OoT fire temple feel for some reason, maybe it was the type of stone used but it just hit me. Then the colgera theme. I remember with the last trailer saying to myself, that looks like a molgera type boss, only in ice. Then the name appeared and the theme hit, especially the 3th part. They didn’t take anything from the molgera theme literally but in the feel of it it just took you to that vibe, mixing the dragon roost/rito theme in there..
the teba theme in the run up to the dungeon. Man I’d write an hour straight but you KNOW(!) whatsup
Also dude loved that you caught on to rijus fighting style, you’re the only one I’ve seen saying that, she fights like the gerudo guards in gerudo fortress who guard the imprisoned carpenters. Even the spin she does where the lightening strikes is a reference to that “one hit quit” attack they do. Aight imma stop here, but (and I know I know subjectively) to me.. this right here was much more than game of the year. This was a piece of magic man 💯💯💪
Now THAT is how you do a final battle and finale! 😉
I love this series so much

@@totallynot_red omg howdy
I to this day think that Calamity Ganon is, and was, a massively successful version of Phantom Ganon. This game made you face the root of evil in Ganondorf, the second phase even references Dimise with its music i believe.
When the Light Dragon (Zelda) comes to aid Link from a Dragon Dragon, do you think a part of is not all but lost? I think it was her love to her knight/hero is what saves him.
They were never lovers. It's more like she sensed dark energy from the other dragon and on some subconcious level helped out Link defeat the Demon King. It's like her ultimate goal to save the world so it's in her instinct as a dragon, just like Ganondorf''s dragon form still is hell bent on destroying it, even tho he lost his mind.
@@Pablo1517 Nah m8, they’re lovers and married without even knowing it themselves. But you’re right on the White Dragon’s instinct of sensing Demon Dragon
Rauru comments on the manifestation of her will that you get Recall from, so there's probably a bit of her in there
@@Pablo1517 they definitely have feelings for each other.
@@Pablo1517 I'm usually like you, I even got annoyed when people said they were together in this game, but if you pay attention to details, there's a lot more reason to believe they're together than not. It's not just nonsense this time around.
“The power of a sage cannot reach you here” that shit made me nervous when I played
You were by far the most passionate player I’ve watched. I’m glad I got introduced to your channel from this game. Thanks for the video and keep it up ❤️🔥
Dude I absolutely LOVED this fight. They did my boy Dorf so much justice! I was hollering at like 2am over the weekend when I beat it.
I think the final monologue was him just saying "my mind my body ill give it all to destroy you" which kinda gives me the i will do whatever is needed to kill you no matter where you go or what life you live vibe
That ending oh my goshhh. I love them way too much, they are so darn cute 😭
Man honestly I still get teary-eyed whenever I see this ending, it's so epic, lol
I was expecting a Lynel (or 3) during the Demon Army Fight. But felt relieved there wasn't any. 😅
I was shitting my pants it was gonna happen. So glad it didn’t!!! 😅😅😅😅
There is a Floating Coliseum tho
24:46 Don't run away from the Gloom beams, you can deflect them with the Master Sword.
So these two dragons are what the logo was about, neat
“Oh link, I’m home!”
*sanctuary starts*
17:37 I like how hmk didn't notice the phase 2 was oot Ganondorf theme at the beginning but he was focus on his long hp.
So it would seem during the confrontation with gannon that the mastersword is considered a key item and will not break during his fight. I don't know the logic behind it but I think it's a part of a list of conditions it has to meat for it to be unbreakable in this game.
The hype PAID OFF!! Game was immaculate
Im going to be honest, i just went in here to comment that im greatfull you didnt use a Thumbnail with spoilers of how end boss fight looks, and im not going to watch this video until im there! Thank u so much for not having a spoiler on the thumbnail like many other youtubers has of this game! ❤
I just beat the game yesterday. THIS IS THE BEST GANONDORF FIGHT EVER!!!
I've read somewhere that totk takes place 3-5 years after botw.If that is the case, that would mean that both Link and Zelda are in their 20's now. However, with the six year gap for us and the countless videos and mods for the botw era,it truly feels like we saw them growing
After playing the game, I figured the clap sound on the main theme has to be a high five!
I just noticed that at the start and end of the game, Link and Zelda are wearing matching outfits. My heart can only take so much, Nintendo.
My favorite thing to do watching streamers do this final boss fight is see how many of them realize you can smack the fireballs that do permanent damage back at Ganondorf. Currently still at zero.
"You could have called it a Ganon Dragon"
No, because Ganon(dorf) no longer exists. This is pure hatred.
No, pure hatred was Calamity Ganon.
Dragondorf is the better name.
@@catalyst539I wish his transformation into the dragon had a face resembling a pig a bit. At least give it the nose.
“You lose everything that makes you, you.” - Mineru
That dragon is no longer any semblance of Ganondorf (at least at that moment). However, the inconsistency of Zelda coming back can poke a hole in this, I believe they don’t call in “Ganon Dragon” to prevent the spoiler of Zelda coming back.
@@catalyst539 Again Ganondorf is gone all that was his pure anger, hatred and desire to destroy everyone and everything in his path. This is backed up by the fact that during the beginning of his transformation it appears that he is being transformed into a creature of both Gloom and Malice.

I freaking love both games so much, man. So freaking much! Both are GOTY EVERY YEAR.
whats cool is in his second phase of 2nd form, if you flurry rush him first, he will flurry rush you once you dash in on him and then you have to flurry rush him again to be able to hit him
I got Mineru FIRST bc i was too curious. 😂 Ruined a lot of the story but it was still cool. Funny going up to Purah and her being like "you found the Master Sword?? But heres a secret, Theres another sage... YOU ALREADY FOUND THE SAGE!?!?" 💀
😂 I was actually going to explore the thundercloud when I first started playing this, but I got so distracted by all of the other stuff in the game, that I didn't explore it until near the end of the game. I'm glad I didn't now. 😂 I don't know why they would allow us to reach the fifth sage so early.
@@avaliausd.I mean, it's heavily discouraged by the game itself. You literally cannot see anything within the thundercloud until you complete the quest to clear up the storm.
Similar to BOTW, where you can go do the main story in about any order, you can still get it out of order if you really want to, though.
Feels like game of the decade
I just beat the final boss tonight and I’m a fucking emotional wreck. This is the greatest game of all time. I wasn’t quite convinced until tonight.
Matthew Mercer really nails his role as Ganondorf!
Can we all agree he should be nominated for best villain in the 2023 Game Award?
yes
(unless blake ritson as alpha in xc3 future redeemed wins over him)
Nah Nintendo games are never nominated for voice acting awards 2019 Chris Hackney who btw also voices Raura in this game did an amazing job bringing Dimtri from three houses alive but nah they ignored him and the whole game for that matter and instead nominated FN death stranding like 10 times I mean that bs not even nominated for best va music or game of the year despite it being a real contender for all of those
Idk if it's goty worthy. Raurus would be the only one imo.
I loved that you can launch back Ganon's power orbs just like in Ocarina of Time.
I was about to question why they took his shirt, but I just realized, they probably didn’t want the whole “dumb outfit effect” to happen over the ending again.
That makes a lot of sense. I was thinking they really wanted to highlight that skwany little Link here just eliminated the biggest baddie in the universe haha

I'd so insanely love to see a final Ganondorf monologue but having that would deem him still alive, which at this point is still unconfirmed.
I think this ganondorf is dead, but I don't think the curse Demise placed HAS to be a ganondorf. I think the curse can possess anyone, it's just that Ganondorf's lineage always opened themselves to evil's influence. The next game might have a villian that isn't Gerudo, but is possessed by Demise. This might be the end of the Ganondorf evil bloodline and the start of a new one? 🤷
You know what would be cool is if the DLC put a new spin on Twinrova attempting to resurrect Ganondorf. I mean, they're right there at his side in the memory where Ganondorf "swears fealty" to King Rauru. Honestly surprised they weren't utilized for the fake Zelda boss fight in Hyrule Castle.
Fun Fact: you can reflect Ganondorf's Gloom fire balls by using master sword beam attack, Its also a reference to twilight princess tennis match with puppet Zelda which is a reference in of itself to classic tennis match of ocarina of time with a bottle. No am not making that last part up.
My hylian shield got so beaten up. I literally had Ganon at silvers of health and got the badly damaged alert. You can automatically put up your shield when you locked on. So had switch between shields, not lock on so much and make sure to take it out before killing him. It made the fight much more stressful and harder plus I didn't have food to replenish my gloom hearts. The whole point was that I wanted to make sure the hylian shield was in the cutscenes.
I loved your reactions, fyi during his like 2nd phase of his 2nd phase (knocking your companions out the fight) if you flurry rush him regularly, he flurry rushes your flurry rush forcing you to flurry rush the flurry rush of the flurry rush or just parry the flurry rush of the flurry rush
Thank you so much for sharing your final boss battle, I love your enthusiasm and hearing your thoughts and analysis as you play. (I really wanted to fight the swirling Calamity Ganon in BotW, and I'm so happy that we get to do that in this game!)
Bro, that was Zelda's torch from the opening.
Yeah it still pains me to think back on the opening.
Im surprised by how many people didn’t get that you could throw Ganon’s malice projectiles back at him with the Master Sword, it was my first reflex when I fought him.
Playing tennis with Ganondorf kind of is a classic move
Damn bro I used to watch you way back in 2013 when we didn't even have footage of Botw and called it Zelda Wii U. We had that Wii u tech demo. I used to watch you stream project M with your bro. Glad to see you're doing well and playing Zelda to this day. Hopefully we get to see many more Zelda games! Cheers
I enjoyed this video, keep the good work up.
Thanks, will do!
I wish I coulda seen your initial reaction to the memories, I tried to find a VOD Or anything but it seemed like any time they came up it was "I already saw this, but re-watching it!" 😭
The reason he isn't called "Ganon Dragon" and is instead called "Demon Dragon" is because by eating the tear Ganondorf pretty much became no more all that was left of him was his pure hatred, anger and desire to destroy everyone and everything opposing him.
Dragondorf only had one goal:
Kill Link.
He (dragon state) didn’t know why he had to, but he knew he must.
He always focused on Link and Zelda. Not attacking anything else.
I just realized that the Demon Dragon explodes right next to the Lost Woods, poor Koroks probably went flying lmao
