One thing that, might just be a me thing, but it made me very sad was the relationship between Rauru, Sonia and Zelda. We know Zelda lost her mother very young, and her father prioritised his duties as king rather than his duties as a father. So it’s safe to assume her childhood was not very bright, not from her family anyways, we know she had Urbosa. But now, the way Sonia treats her, is almost motherly, and more and more Rauru cares about Zelda as well. The little conversation about Link just felt like two parents teasing their kid about a crush. It’s all very sweet. We do not know how long Zelda spent with them, I assume at least a couple of month minimum. She felt the warmth her family could never give and all of that to see Sonia die before her eyes, and Rauru sacrificing himself to seal Ganondorf, sacrifice she knows won’t last forever. This made me very sad.
Its def an heart warming but sad story of loss but gaining life in the last cutscene of the game. But forreal awesome story!
Plus her sacrifice. She believed that she will never return, no chance of happiness!
@@DundG right!
I hate myself for simping each time Ganon came into frame. Can't help it. Nintendo knew what it was doing.
Ganon does look great! The designs awesome and voice acting PERFECT
I am proud to say that my gallery on my switch is now 95% pictures and photos of Ganon
@@kalebhudson417 🤣
@@PappaTsunami Except for that one scene when he... "smiles"
@Grown Conch Best scene
The Silent Princes is such a recurring theme. As soon as you figure out who Zelda is, and realize she isnt really “alive” per se, she stops doing the voice over of the blood moons. Just another way shes silent
I didn't even realize that! That's a neat touch.
I thought that happened after Hyrule Castle?
@@drakkiusgamingyes it happens after hyrule castle the original comment isnt true
@@pabloich3482 yes, it happens after ganondorf destroy its "Zelda puppet".
@@pabloich3482 after Hyrule Castle?? For me it stopped after the final memory. It stopped well before I even entered the castle
When I finally watched all the memories, I had to actually walk away from my stream for about 10 minutes, such a massive reveal
Right! Such a solid reveal!
I just realize that the tears that fell from the Light Dragon (Zelda) at 38:26 are exactly 11, as the tears through out the Kingdom. Also one more detail, is that the Grave of Sonia that King Rauru was letting a Sundelion, is located in the Forgetten Temple, at the Champer that Rauru gave the Secret stones to the ancestors. My God definitely Game the Year. So many emotions through out the game play.
Right! It was just SUCH a great ride!
It’s game of the decade so far minimal competition. Unless an ENORMOUS game is announced soon and completed to perfect soon, nothing will beat it
The amount of times I’ve cried while playing this game is actually really concerning
🤣 that means the story is good for ya!
I could not take that scene seriously with Ganondorf’s goofy ahhh face lmao
Yea lol the face caught me off guard lol but I loved it
I'm almost convinced they clearly designed that scene knowing very well it would turn into a meme
@@hanzo90 I could def see that lol
Really? I found the face to be quite scary
It genuinely feels unhinged.
What I love about this entire thing, is the amount of trust Zelda has for link; she knew turning herself into a dragon is akin to imprisoning herself to years of not know who she is. But she knew that link would come to her and save her as he’s done many times before. I just think that the trust she has for knight is truly beautiful.
1000% agree! One of the things I love across all of the LoZ games is the trust and love between Link and Zelda!
Right! Like, the developers made it pretty obvious that zelda and link were meant to be. And they did it in a beautiful way.
@@miguelnieves7661 agreed 😊
I think that while Zelda was falling during The Awakening and Upheaval, while holding the secret stone, she instinctually thought very strongly to herself, "I wish I could go back in time so I could fix things...so that Link can catch me!"
And so she did...
And so he did.
She's a WIZARD
@@PappaTsunami She's a Sage!
@@schmittelt 🤣
As soon as they mentioned draconification I realized.... 😢
Same 😢
Am I actually the only person in the world who never saw the twist with Zelda coming?????????
I never even suspected it in the slightest
I kinda did. Just didn't want to admit it to myself 🤣
Considered it when a scene mentioned becoming a dragon (7:00), then another Tuber said in passing 'when Zelda became a dragon', so I finished the Tears & Sword quest before anything else got spoiled.
I don’t think they were trying to hide it. I really was speculating a lot until that third memory, but after that it was insanely obvious.
I thought it was going to be Rauru. His eyes and the dragon’s were similar. I guess I was just trying to hide the truth to myself 😅
Now we know that the Zelda that poem at the Blood Moon is actually Ganon puppet
Yee! 😊
i always cry so hard during the final tear part ;-;
I may not have been crying externally but I was dying internally 🤣
On rewatch it has made me shed some tears but nah it's getting real close to making me cry
Her "protect them all!" always gets me haha
It was a very well acted and just executed moment lol I get got by it too
Yo that smile from Ganondorf would be perfect for memes 😅😅😅
lol forsure
@@PappaTsunami i mean am i right 😆😆😆
@@robertclark1156 You straight up right lol
That second to last memory plays its hand too far, I feel. It would work better if, after receiving the master sword, Zelda has the visual flashbacks to those moments, but doesn't get any audio to preserve what the significance of it is. That way, the final memory piecing the memories together can have the full reveal of "master sword not strong enough -> master sword grow stronger with sacred power -> Zelda have sacred power -> eat stone to become immortal dragon"
I could see that. I will say that Nintendo didnt give as much as I think they could have with the memories and I feel like it was on purpose. Im holding out for playable Zelda in the past DLC in like a year or something lol
I did the wind temple and then did all the dragon tears and was just understanding everything after that
Nice!
There just weren’t enough memories. It felt more rushed than Part 1 of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. I think having 2 more memories focusing on Ganon before the assault & with the fake Zelda would go a long way.
I agreed I would like to have seen some more memories like you've described. But I don't feel it was quite so rushed I'm still holding out for the possibilities of a killer DLC where we play as Zelda or something.
The dragon is Zelda, she will never be the person she was prior to becoming a dragon.
She's definitely gotten more perspective and more wisdom. Ig that's why she has the triforce of wisdom tho :D
These were so great I’m glad I was attentive enough to get em in order
I was not lol 🤣 but it was nice when I was editing it together to see it happen in order
@@PappaTsunami yup definitely! As long as you don’t get the very last one early it isn’t too bad, it’s an open world after all!

The dragon IS Zelda. But spoiler alert below…
…She reverts to her true form after the final boss.
18:51 now THAT IS A WARLOCK PUNCH
I can hear the KO from here 😌
I just wish we got some sort of timeline as to how long zelda was in the past. Cause the memories are all over the place in terms of events. Cause in one she knows nothing about her time abilities and then in the one memory she stopped that knife in midair. So training must have taken a while for her to get decently proficient at it
I agree. I wish there was more. That's why I'm holding out for Zelda DLC 🫡
Ok but wait.. did raruu and sonia already have a kid? Howd the line continue in sonias bloodline without? And does this mean zeldas bloodline is done since in the current present she is no longer her?
I'm sure they had a kid of some sort? They had to have i would think. In current present Zelda is herself again at the end so the bloodline continues. But also Ira tricky because of the whole reincarnation stuff. I'll need to do some home work 🤣
They had to have had a kid since zelda is a direct decendant of Sonia. We don't know how much time there was between memories. It could have been weeks or months for all we know
That's a pretty big pill to swallow, glad she didn't choke a die right there
I would take it lol

what zelda didnt say about link is he dosent talk alot lol
also that sonia thing when she got punched or stabbed in the back my face whent suprised and then in the deepest voice possible i went "oh Dang she daed."

@@PappaTsunami oh man....why did ya have to go and ruin my enjoyment by promoting a book of fairy tales??
@@lorrainepellett1300 Because thats what I am called to do. I'm not forcing you to be here. That "book of fairy tales" is truth in my eyes. The promises it makes have been made truthful throughout my life and my situations. You have your freedom of choice and so do I. Love ya ❤
@@PappaTsunami that's wonderful, and it's nice as long as you're not forcing it on anyone.....
but really..... maybe you should give yourself a little more credit....it wasn't God nor was it Jesus that did anything to make your life wonderful...all the choices that were made so that you would have that wonderful life and those wonderful situations were made by YOU and ONLY you..... and that is why you're where you are today....
@@lorrainepellett1300 I'm not here to force anything on anyone. I just want to opportunity to talk. If people dont want that then thats their choice ofc. Also I may make the final decisions but they were orchestrated and put in front of me. Its also the people that God has put into my life. If it was all my choices and others not intervening or giving me input I'd be dead in a ditch somewhere.
Can someone clarify this for me?
My entire life I assumed that Hylian's live as long as us and the only reason Link lived over 100 years was because he was in the shrine of resurrection and Zelda lived that long either due to her powers awakening or having to use them for that long to hold back Ganon.
So, if Zelda stopped aging, why would she need to sacrifice her humanity? If she started aging normally after Ganon was killed, could she not just try to gain mastery over the course of her remaining lifespan and then swallow the stone as a last resort?
So I know in BOTW she used her light and time abilities to lock Ganon in a loop. From what I understand she didn't know how she did that. In ToTK I thought the same. That instead of eating the tear she could just spend like 5 years to learn and then do what needs to be done. Maybe she just didn't think she could learn in that time? Maybe by eating the tear it cranked her light abilities up to 11 and that's why? But the reason she ate the tear is basically plot driven I feel like for the love story of Link and Zelda.
@@PappaTsunami The reason she ate the tear is to be able to re-energize the master sword as an immortal dragon for millennials. She had to restore the master sword while also travelling to the future
@2ndKidd yea, I figure if she took 5-10 years to practice and study her light and time abilities maybe she could've restored it without going the dragon route.
@@PappaTsunamiin fact we dont know how much time passed between the Master Sword traveling back and Zelda swallowing the secret stone.
@wedding6515 yeah especially since zelda legit knows nothing about her time/light powers and the by the one memory she stopped something in midair like it was nothing. I wish we got a timeline on how long zelda was in the past before she went dragon mode
42:55 Why did you say that after seeing The Dragon Tear memories? Of course the Light Dragon is Zelda.
That clip was from like the 2nd ever stream I did of ToTK so I added it thinking it'd be funny.
@@PappaTsunami So you didn't do these memories in order then?
@xxroyalprincexx6811 no I didn't sadly. After I finished all of the memories I arranged them in this vid to be apart of my let's play of it
18:52 is that chris pratt?
Great Value Chris Pratt is the name 🤣

Heyya!
Yall shuld be able to inow zelda didnt fully forget hwrself in a way Fi the master sword im oretty sue it kept her apraised
She must have been strong enough to remember to hold onto the sword
The first memory retcons skyward sword bruh.
Right? Im kinda okay with it? But also ig technically the LoZ lore is more of a bunch of forks and not just a straight timeline? idk
Skyward sword doesn’t even contain the founding of hyrule
@@gektoast4968 huh I thought it did? Imma go replay it lol
@@gektoast4968 more like this games Ganon retcons Demise, and this memory retcons ocarina of time when Hyrule was made.
@@Wizardof52 demise died out and wasn't mentioned the entirety of skyward sword is not retconned at all. ocarina and stuff? most def retconned but it seems possible as you can see death mountain in the past more resembling ocarina of time death mountain instead of the botw one.
I was upset too when I found out that they contrive it this bad to keep zelda out of the game. Plus that they would tell the story through memories again.
I was okay with the memories cause it's the same formula from botw. I feel like they may do dlc (or I really hope they do) for Zeldas' pov.
@@PappaTsunami botw made sense because link had amnesia, they should've told the story like a traditional zelda game. I wasn't really feeling it for totk like I did botw, so if they do dlc with zelda it might save it for me.
@@retroelite1019 I totally get that. I really hope they do a dlc of playing as Zelda in the past. I think that would sell and really do well with the story.
@@PappaTsunami I was thinking maybe a master mode with zelda, I don't know how they would make that work. Maybe have her use her light magic instead of weapons.
A master mode with Zelda would be dope!
Link when he sees dragon Zelda after watching the last memory: How am I supposed to tap that?!
