I was glad that they made it where the Master Sword was just wrapped up in her hair rather than... like... _embedded_ in her head. I think that given how long she was guarding and fortifying it, to feel ANYBODY messing with it caused that instinctual reaction to protect it. In my mind that bit of her consciousness that was still in there recognized it was him, which is when and why she calmed and let go. AND THOSE SILENT PRINCESSES ALL AROUND HIM MURDER ME _EVERY TIME._ 🥺🥺🥺
@@narommalagonmorales2663 No it isn't. lol He wouldn't have been able to lift it up so gently and effortlessly if it was embedded in her skull. In the shot of him lifting it the blade isn't long enough to have been IN her head. The sound effect isn't of a blade being unsheathed from anything but just being lifted against something soft, ie the hair. The sound effect is different when the blade is pulled from being embedded in the pedestal across both games.
10k years ago was the height of the sheikah tech which was based on ancient zonai archaeological finds of that time. So really she waited 100,000 or more years
I when watched that scene for the first time, it kind of made me fall in love with the character of Zelda… for lack of a better description. Her self-sacrifice (not accidental but deliberate and determinate) witness her love for her people and her faith in Link and her hope for a brighter future. It was beautiful yet so painful. And the music reflected it so well. The moment she swallowed the stone, suddenly the notes sounded like they fell off, indicating that something horrible had just happened. Horrible yet necessary.
Link actually visibly emotes if you're not wearing a headpiece that either hides his face (like the Divine Beast helms or Majora's Mask) or locks his expression (like the Fierce Deity's Mask).
He absolutely does, and I love it. It's _so_ subtle but fitting for his character, especially given her diary entry about _why_ he's so quiet in BotW. For him to emote at all shows how much he was feeling at that moment.
I did the Master Sword quest before I knew it was her. Only after I sought the memories I realized and it hit me very hard. The beauty of the game is that no matter how you get the Master Sword, it just works. Even if you only get it at the very last moments of the game.
6:09 "When she said 'Come find me', she meant 'Come find my dragon'." (Spoilers for what happens directly after all 4 Regional Phenomena are completed) Uhh... Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it Ganondorf's Puppet Zelda that said that? Ganondorf himself says that his puppet "made it so easy to mislead you-To keep you occupied...", and the chase around Hyrule Castle establishes that Puppet Zelda does indeed have the ability to telepathically communicate to Link. Puppet Zelda even says "Come find me" right before the end of the chase! So unless Zelda can speak while her mind is asleep within the Light Dragon, and unless Ganondorf can overhear her talking to Link so that he can take advantage of the situation and trick Link, then there's no real way that the person who said "Find me" at the beginning of the game was anyone other than Puppet Zelda.
Zelda as the dragon is emitting/healing the Master Sword with her sacred power. Bathing is just another way to worded! Also those sword isn’t really stuck/stabbed in her. She is holding sword with her hair! Bathing in sacred power!
I'm not meaning this in a condescending way, I promise... but is English not your first language? Because "bathing" can just mean covering, enveloping, surrounding, soaking, etc, not just bathing as in washing your body. Like how laying out in the sun to get a tan is also called "sun bathing", because you're bathing in sunlight to get a tan. Zelda possesses a "sacred power that can dispel evil", so by holding on to the sword and "pouring her power into it" for all of those millennia, the blade was bathing in that power and absorbing it. Zelda needed to not only find a way back to her current time period, but also let the sword spend a LONG TIME soaking all of her scared power into itself in order for it to be strong enough to defeat Ganondorf. Dragons are immortal, so by becoming a dragon she insured that the sword would not only find its way BACK to Link through all of that time, but also be steeped in her power for all of that time, too.
Also, did you notice... when the classic "you just pulled the Master Sword" music starts playing, they added just those first three notes of Zelda's Lullaby to the beginning of it this time. It's NEVER been there before. 😭🥹
Never have i been more shook by a Zelda game than this reveal
It was INCREDIBLE. I was thinking about it for a good 24-48 hours afterwards

Bloody hell! The music when the master sword is drawn! Kinda tells you its significance
When I first got the Master Sword and saw the cut scene. My first reaction was ohhh I can't wait until Nikki and Carmen see this!!
It was incredible!!! Seriously a beautiful story 🥰
To think her dragon form was around for 10,000+ years, too...
She was waiting for so long 😭
It's actually a lot longer than that, since she went back to the time Hyrule was founded

@@kelticsage Oh, seems I got my times wrong then. I do know she went back to Hyrule's founding but I guess I was using the wrong measure of years.

Upon closer inspection, you’ll see that the sword isn’t stuck in the dragon’s head but rather wrapped up in its hair. Cool detail.

It’s so emotional, Zelda was so brave for doing that!
im sure the next game they will make zelda a leprachaun

bathed in sacred power? is there a lake called sacred power? that cutscene didnt make sense how they worded it
Sacred power is like energy that the sword is being surrounded by and absorbing. So it does make sense
