I needed this so badly. I carry so much stress in my jaw. Lately I've been very stressed, and I wake up with a sore jaw in the morning. This was perfect. Not only does my jaw feel better, but my stress has gone down too. I actually teared up when you went through the guided meditation, especially the part about our breath and heart space. I wasn't expecting that at all, but was filled with an overwhelming gratitude for life and everything my body does for me.
Thank you again for this, I will do it often! As well as some of your other meditation videos. My stressors aren't going away any time soon, but hopefully I have some tools now to lessen them and their effect on me ❤️
I am so glad to know that my videos have helped you!! Jaw tension is so common and we can learn to relax it when we need! Isn't it interesting the connection between the jaw and the pelvic floor?
Yes it is! I was able to share this video with my sister who is 26 and was just diagnosed with severe vaginal and pelvic floor pain and tension (she can't even use tampons). I referred her to your channel as soon as she told me about her condition. Then the other day she mentioned that she has horrible jaw pain as well! Bingo, I sent her the link to this video. She's excited to try it and I hope it will help her as much as it has me!
Dr. Bri, I’m so thankful that you taught me that jaw clenching and pelvic pain are connected. I wish I’d known about it anydused techniques to unclench decades ago!
You are so welcome! It's not commonly known/taught information, but like all things in life, "when we know better, we do better!" I'm really glad you found this to be helpful.
Just discovered your videos Dr Bri and am so grateful for you and your work! The past few days I’ve been aware I hold tension in my jaw, mist of the time I’m not even aware of it. Did not know the pelvis and jaw are connected! I’m actually having a hard time even feeling my pelvic muscles during the meditation, but am going to keep at it gently. 🙏 Namaste
This was amazing Dr. Bri, I've suffered with this issue for years. Consultation with three professionals has not resulted in anything close to what you just did in this video! Thank you so much❣
That brings me so much joy to hear, Sheila. I'm so glad it helped!
This was wonderful ! I’ve made the connection of tension between the jaw and pelvis but I didn’t understand until your meditation how relaxing the jaw completely released the pelvis . Thank you kindly 🙏🏼❤️
Thank you so much! 🙏🏼 This was one of the best jaw releasing exercises that I've done.
You're so welcome!
I feel so relaxed. Thank you.
I tell my patients the jaw is the pelvis of the face!
The occiput is the sacrum, C1 relates to L5, the temporal Bones relate to the innominates.
I would imagine the TMJ relating to the hip joints and the floor of the mouth with the mandible relate to the small of the pelvis and the pelvic floor. The bony palate could relate to the public symphysis.
The part of the eyes and maxillary / sphenoidal portion are missing from the pelvic structure.
I have TMJ and terrible pelvic pain (vulvodynia). I hate this so much :(
This was by far the hardest meditation I have ever done. I hold tension everywhere. Practice makes perfect and may do this one everyday. And hold a lot of tension in my neck right now, for some reason.
Yes! Keep at it! you can do it!
Ooh warm cloth. I have TMJ. Thanks love. Your the best
Love the cat (and you too of course)
Just a day before I had painful sprain in left jaw today I got your video which is so helpful in releasing in tension in jaw neck, thank you so much Dr. Bri you are doing marvellous service.
wooow this helped me a lot for me singing practice 😍😍 I'm relatively new to developing that ability and I always struggle with not articulating enough and with my breathing, and I just noticed a huge change in my practice after doing this 🤯🤯🤯 thanks so much!
Wonderful to hear that ❤️❤️❤️
OH Miss Dr Brie Not really quite sure what id do withoutcha!! :) THANK YOU for all that you do! Youve truly helped me so much in the past few years!!! Youve turned that frown upside down:) and i am forever grateful and indebted to you and your wonderful lil" self!!! Keep on keeping on with all that great positivity..... Many well wishes your way from the NC mountains and beautiflul Asheville...ps I got a shine brighter shirt for xmas , fun fun.
🫶🙏🙏🙏👐🙏🙏🙏🙏 thank you so much 💓
You are so welcome!
Thanks and gratitude. I really feel the painful contractions in my jaw they've now moved into teeth pain from clenching in the back of my mouth it's also the pelvic floor making excretion very challenging at times and then my toes are curled so I just feel like you hit this you from top to bottom literally. I'm so exhausted I'm not able to do the work out right now I'm going to just lay down and rest but just hear someone connect the dots it's so helpful and I'll be back to go through this. I do rock back-and-forth on yoga blocks to help bring circulation to the area and maybe help with some of the relaxation.... thank you so much for these educational insights and connections to complicated issues within our bodies thank you for being on UA-cam helping.
You're welcome!!
Thank you, this came just at the right time.
I've just lost a crown and I think it may be because I've been jaw clenching as I've noticed I've had an achy face and jaw recently.
It's wonderful when things pop up just as you need them. 🌈
I'm so glad it came at just the right time for you, Louise!

A friendly recommendation to anyone having jaw tension…..kindly quit coffee and any caffeinated content from your diet.
Thanks for the recommendation, caffeine can impact people in so many different ways!

Mine is fully stress related. I can feel it tightening as I stress. So all the mouth guards in the world aren’t going to help if I can’t destress! This is exactly what I need
Don’t hesitate to come back to this meditation.
