Honestly, a Batman Arkham game centered on The Long Halloween storyline, with elements of its sequel story, Dark Victory, would have been awesome. Call it, Batman: Arkham Halloween, sequel to Arkham Origins. Would have been awesome.
Agreed. That exactly has been my dream game for years now. And since Arkham Origins occupied the Year 2 slot in Batman's career, they could adapt both The Long Halloween/Dark Victory, yeah. Featuring a storyline like the former's while being a Year 3 story introducing Dick Grayson's Robin like the latter.

Would have been cool and just freaking crazy to see those parts in Batman's career before we even got to Asylum. And I'm sure that after we played Origins 3, we would have seen a teaser in the credits that would've lead to Arkham Asylum. Reminding is of where it all still leads to where it started in the series.
My best guess for those changes with Moroni, Grundy & Falcone are... 1. Batman is able to push Moroni out of the way of Holiday's bullet saving him, 2. Grundy was probably replaced by Killer Croc since he tends to hide out in the sewers 3. Since Batman had a disruptor at this point, I'm assuming that Batman disrupted Two-Face's gun stopping him from killing Falcone
For Moroni I can also see a situation where he isn’t targeted in the Arkham universe. Since holiday is attack mob family’s and as by this point there’s more mob family’s in play like penguin maybe some else dies in this universe like a penguin high up (Or even the presence of robin changes things as unlike the comic he’s active during all this. Just based on Arkham timeline)

I love the Long Halloween and I would love to see a Long Halloween game. It could really lean into the detective angle as well as having a huge roster of villains like all of the Arkham games. Arkham City helped repopularise Calendar Man as well. We should get another Arkham trilogy of prequels. A Long Halloween game and maybe a game where we see Robin. Hopefully a Dark Victory adaptation which is my favourite Batman comic.
It's mind-blowing the amount of ways the Arkham Universe could have continued without Suicide Squat: Kill the Arkhamvers. Your idea literally could've been the original idea for WB Montreal Origins sequel. Batman: Arkham Halloween. Personally, and this is just my opinion but I prefer the Arkham Beyond Damian Wayne game that was going to be the sequel to Arkham Knight. But hey at least in the end of the day we can have headcanons for what it could have been in the Arkham Universe.
The Arkhamverse will continue according to James Gunn. DLC will probably reset the game’s events or otherwise retcon them so we can get back to ground zero.

In the comic, it was Harvey that initially started the killings and after he stopped, it was Gilda that took up the role of Holiday, which Harvey didn't realise until the very end and kept it a secret. Alberto Falcone was never actually the Holiday killer and only mistakenly thought he was because of his mental disorder.
@@GothamPaladin In the games perhaps but not in the comic. If you remember after Alberto's (I think you said Albert) supposed "death" on the boat, Gilda commented on Harvey's clothes being wet despite not raining, which hinted that he swam to the boat.
A little late to the party here, but I always kinda figured that Calendar Man was the Holiday Killer, or at least one of the Holiday Killers in the Arkhamverse, since Origins begins with him on death row for a year-long string of holiday-themed murders.
I agree and my thinking was that if it was up to me, I would've always put Killer Croc in the original story instead. He's already appeared in Origins as part of the criminal underworld and is a more established character in the series overall.
Also a change from the comics is Robin Arkham timeline wise Dick Grayson Robin is in his early days of being active (unless I’m mistaken) which means he’s probably involved in this. It's following that line of thought that I get my idea for an Arkham Origins 2 being an adaptation of both TLH/Dark Victory. They'd be a cool layer of Dick being involved in a story centered on mob families and Tony Zucco's being part of that. It's Batman's 3rd year, he's more open to allies now in Gordon and Dent, the mob is the central force of crime in Gotham but are in decline, and the freaks are gaining more notoriety. Dick joins in the midway through the story, stumbles on the batcave and helps Batman with the case by providing an angle he doesn't see. Eventually becoming Robin before the climax. Maybe joining the aforementioned trio.

This just makes more sense with the story of Arkham Shadow, where we see Batman, Gordon, and Harvey teaming up and Scarecrow getting his start, also they have said that Blackgate is canon but not sure about Grundy. A sequel to Shadow about the Long Halloween would be insane.
I think the movie did a great job adapting and even improving on the comic by giving Gilda a far more personal motivation to attack the Falcone’s (having her and Alberto be former lovers and carmine breaking them up and taking her kid from her and Alberto not standing up for her) it also makes the baby bottle nipple a lot more unique

With the super dramatic tone and cutscenes, the crime reconstructions and internal dialogue Batman has as he's thinking through the crimes, all that would just be perfect for this storyline. Although, I like the idea of a different holiday theme for each entry of the trilogy and it would be consistent with each taking place on night/day.

I do agree with this except for Catwomans part I remember it being stated somewhere and even put on the wiki that she was adopted and forced to fend for herself by the Falcone's but not a straight up daughter
On her (Post-Crisis) wiki page, it states under notes it's not entirely confirmed but there's lots of evidence to support it being the case that even Selina belives it.
Great vid! Just a small note, the skeevers family weren’t the assassins that Falcone hired to kill Dent, it was the Sullivan family. Jefferson Skeevers was the pimp that Batman forced to snitch in Year One.
Idk if someone already told you but Batman meet Solomon in origins Blackgate. He's one of the bosses there. Also we don't know if Gilda was actually a hollyday killer, she coul'd be just crazy because of her loss for all we know. Even the creator of comic himself haven't confirmed it.
It may be one of those things where technically Batman never says anything (literally, he just looks at him stoically in silence) but it's framed in a way where it comes off like his first time. I think if the indication was Batman met him before like a lot of his villains in RS' trilogy, the writers would've added a line to confirm it. Then there's also Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate.
I suppose there’s no real evidence for it, but the way Batman sees Grundy in Arkham City and how thugs prior talk about Grundy like he’s a myth, paints the picture as if this is the first time Batman meets him

WB Montreal were planning on a Suicide Squad game, hopefully that game can happen but the squad has to break into the ruins of Blackgate Imagine if you play the game as the squad or Batman, same story but from a different perspective, I think that would make for another AO game Not saying I prefer that over a LH game but I think about that more Good stuff 👍

I like the idea but I think it’s a missed opportunity not to have Harvey murder Falcone in cold blood, it signifies a turn to the dark side and leaving his old DA path behind
It'd also be a cool thematic turning point to represent the turning tides of crime in Gotham from the old ways of the mob to the new, burgeoning and gimmicky class of criminal - the freaks. It'd be an epic arc for Harvey imo if we get to know him as an ally and friend, see his passion for justice and fight against the mob, as well as his struggles and darker side then it all culminates in a climax where he marches in with criminals to kill the biggest of the old guard.
I have a ldea why not a make a full lore about how Arkham was formed all the way it is now I think that would be something new and fresh I love your video but I know this might get ignored anyway 😊

What exactly makes you think Grundy's appearance in City is the first time Batman sees him? I don't think there's any dialogue to suggest that
It may be one of those things where technically Batman never says anything (literally, he just looks at him stoically in silence) but it's framed in a way where it comes off like his first time. I think if the indication was Batman met him before like a lot of his villains in RS' trilogy, the writers would've added a line to confirm it.
Then there's also Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate.
I suppose there’s no real evidence for it, but the way Batman sees Grundy in Arkham City and how thugs prior talk about Grundy like he’s a myth, paints the picture as if this is the first time Batman meets him

I like the idea but I think it’s a missed opportunity not to have Harvey murder Falcone in cold blood, it signifies a turn to the dark side and leaving his old DA path behind
It'd also be a cool thematic turning point to represent the turning tides of crime in Gotham from the old ways of the mob to the new, burgeoning and gimmicky class of criminal - the freaks. It'd be an epic arc for Harvey imo if we get to know him as an ally and friend, see his passion for justice and fight against the mob, as well as his struggles and darker side then it all culminates in a climax where he marches in with criminals to kill the biggest of the old guard.
