That concept would also push Bruce Wayne to grow as a character not just Batman. You can’t just win with his fist he needs to use his influence as Bruce to protect Gotham from what black mask is doing
Would the Mad Hatter work? Fans have been clamoring for either Martin Short or Steve Buscemi as Jervis Tetch ever since the '90s. Sadly, though, I don't think the Lewis Carroll theme would work anymore.

Ivy - Her love for the earth could play well into how much Gotham has been destroyed. Freeze - Just obvious. Ra's al Ghul - We need to see where this Batman learned to fight. I would like to see Mad Hatter as the main villian and as you said about Penguin becoming the top dog, a perfect rival to him would be Black Mask. So Batman has to juggle Roman and Oswalds rivalry while dealing with Jervis and maybe Twiddledee and Twiddledum as Mad Hatters minions or something. Hell, throw in Victor Zsasz to be a pain in the ass the entire time. Also if they decide to bring back Riddler, I think a perfect partner for him would be Anarky.
@@theflev-matic4892 Clayface would be awesome. Something fantastical and comic like. This Batman gets the image of being grounded but that's only cause the villain and story of the first film allowed it to be. Dosent mean it cant get fantastical. You can't really do a fantastical riddler/Falcone movie, because their characters arent unrealistic, so naturally the first film was always going to be grounded
There's a lot of villains I'd love to see. I think Reeve's Batman would stay away from the hugely fantastical. I think Hugo Strange would work. I also think a version of Poison Ivy would really work well and be interesting.
You don’t have to keep every part of her character exactly like the comics. You could do a version of Poison Ivy who is a hardcore climate activist who is willing to kill all of humanity in order to save the environment. You could have her obsessed with plants, and since she’s such a smart herbologist she can make a lot of poison.

@@Ozz131 realism doesnt ruin superhero movies at all. The Dark Knight trilogy was grounded yet it was one of the greatest hits of all time. The Batman was also praised for its realistic atmosphere. Also you can clearly see that its the first time that batman is using his glider in the movie. He lacks experience as its only his second year as batman. Recent marvel movies are also trash even if they are fantastical
I love that the first movie’s ending gives the opportunity to bring any Batman’s villain and the integration of any of them feeling natural because of the context, literally anyone could fit in the story.
12:26 the problem with this concept for Bruce’s arc is that we basically just did that. He’s already figured out that he needs to be more than a vigilante, now it’s time for him to discover what that means. A villain who complicated that goal would make more sense than one who helps him realize that vengeance isn’t the way… again.
If the rumors that Reeves will introduce a 13 year old Dick Grayson in the film are truth, then I think the main villain should be The Mad Hatter. Rather than a creepy inventor who uses devices to brainwash people, Jarvis could be introduce as man who went insane after losing his wife, Alice Tech, during the climax of the previous film. Creating his Mad Hatter persona, he could become Gotham's "Jack the Ripper", kidnapping women in the street and using special drugs to force them to act like his late wife. Everytime his victim start to resists his controls (or Jarvis notice something that is different from his Alice, like the color of the eyes), he freaks outs and kills her in brutal ways, screaming "You're not my Alice". This would work as contrast to Batman's arc with Dick Grayson, with the Dark Knight adopting the kid and growing from a loner vigilante to become and mentor figure and accept the help of his allies. He may have lost his parents, but through the allies he made, he was able to create a new family, while the Mad Hatter is obsess in recreating his past (his Alice), unable to accept her death and move on and develop new relationships (he's basically a dark reflection of what Batman could become if he let the fear of losing his people like he lost his parents control him).
@@litcomicsproductions5359 In the case of Victor Freeze, I think Reeves should jsut do what Gotham TV show did, with Nora still being alive, despite being sick, with Freeze freezing people and using them in experiment to try to cure his wife. As for Two Face, he could be introduce in the 2nd film as D.A trying to make Gotham better after the incident with the Riddler and the rise of a new gang lead by Black Mask. Dent and Batman could team up to try to capture the new crime boss, but stress of work, combine with the public pressure on him, could affect Harvey mentally, causing him to slowly reveal a dark personally, that is more agressive and willing to make morally questionable decisions. Eventually, Black Mask the could end up capturing Harvey and torturing him, causing his face to be desfigured. This event could driven Harvey insane and cause him to become Two Face. Later, Batman could find out that Black Mask was actually Roman Sionis, a corrupt candidate for Mayor, who knew about Harvey split personality and wanted to expose him in order to make people lose faith with the current system and he could win the election.
I actually want scarecrow and mad hatter As a duo But for mad hatter I would make him as a MK ultra /heavens gate cult leader type with him having his own Cryptic show and there are people going missing around Gotham and they all appear on his show and he talks about wonderland coming. wonderland being scarecrows plan to destroy Gotham
You're version of Mad Hatter is so interesting, I've always seen him as a Schizophrenic Creep who was insanely obsessed with Alice in wonderland and develops Mind Control chips to control the Women he thinks are Alice and wants to live in an Alice in wonderland fantasy and doesn't accept reality
Mr freeze, Gotham was flooded during October, it would move into winter with the water being frozen, hearth shaped box as the main song, the poster having a blue background. Complete cinema
In my opinion Wrath should be the main villain in The Batman 2. He can challenge Batman’s physicality and wits. It would also provide more depth to Commissioner Gordon. In the comics Wrath was the opposite of Batman having parents who were both robbers and who were both killed by Commissioner Gordon when he was a younger because he gunned them down when they were escaping their home and mistook them for robbers. Wrath then became a gun for hire whose skills rival Batman’s. Exploring his story would make for a great movie and would work in the universe Matt Reeves has created.
Some villains that would be cool in live action imo would be Mad Hatter Clayface Mr. Freeze Scarecrow Hugo Strange Poison Ivy Court of owls Ventriloquist
I think Clayface + Mr Freeze would be dope. Matt already showed he’s not afraid to have multiple villains in the first one, so why not go further and add more? I think they should save Hush for the third after he’s already established his Bruce persona
Hush I think would make the most sense tbh, however the whole thing behind Hush is that it’s a mystery, I don’t think it’s a thing that can be done with live action without heavy diversion from the source material (which wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing). But controversially I’d LOVE to see Professor Pyg. A sadistic murderer with an army of unfeeling, surgically altered dollotrons that outsmarts Batman at every turn because he’s forced to try and identify the victims and their histories. The victims could even be linked to the Wayne’s somehow to keep the underlying theme of the Wayne family playing a distinct role. I think with the right actor, the horror-vibe of the first movie could be turned up to 11 with Pyg as the main villain. Highly unlikely, but I would love to see it
Pyg fits this universe SO well so I really hope we get him one day. I wouldn’t mind a Hush diversion at all tbh especially bc of how obvious that twist is
I really want Two-Face, seeing Matt's take on the character would be amazing! Maybe have Professor Pyg, Black Mask or Firefly as a secondary antagonist.
Hush is a great choice! His only live-action adaption was in the Batwoman series so there's a lot of room to play with. Bane was hinted at with the Venom but I hope he becomes an ally/frenemy. That was a great pitch for Freeze, that could work. Depending on the level of power Clayface has, he might be better suited for a third installment. My money's on Birthday Boy, a freakishly large and strong mob enforcer who works for Penguin and is paid in young girls.
I personally feel like it’s going to be hush, it would be an interesting villain and would work well in this live action Batman I feel. It would also be very dark.
Following the darker characters: Mad Hatter. He could introduce less realistic villains and still act similar to the Riddler as a villain, being distant and dark.
I was certainly more interested in the Mr. Freeze pitch, but I could see how Clayface could also work. I love your joke about “save us from that dang clown” at the end!
I want to see a duo of villains, those being Anarky and Firefly. Both are super underrated but would work really well with the No Mans Land/ destroyed Gotham that was set up in the first movie. I think they would work really well together with firefly being the physical challenge while Anarky is the mastermind/big boss. Both have a great contrast to Batman as he embodies Law and Order, while Anarky is the exact opposite. Firefly is a great mirror to Bruces obsession and how this obsession could end up destroying him.
He's my absolute favorite UA-camr so I take that as a huge compliment bc I'm basically just doing what he does but worse. And without Maso Maybe I need to create a fake Maso and start doing two voices like he does
@@WholeShebangYT no joke man, as soon as the puns started and the mini rent I was like "wait, what is this??", I immediately thought of James, he is my favorite too, I listen to The Weekly Planet every week, so when I watched your video I knew I had to subscribe to you too, being watching some of your videos now, really good and entertaining stuff. All you need is a Maso and a Goat face mate 😂
In terms of a more realistic take like how they approached the riddler, I’d say Poison Ivy. A bitter ex scientist poising people around Gotham fits well with its tone. Idk how they’d do someone like Bane or anyone too super human
i really really want ivy to be the villain in a movie down the line. she is one of my favorite villains and she's long due for a proper live action adaptation not just reducing to her seduction powers
Ivy could easily carry a movie as the solo villain so I hope we get her, if Reeves doesn’t wanna go supernatural she would be perfect for Brave and the Bold
Once the Penguin series concludes we'll see what's what. Until then all bets are off but I echo the sentiment that the Joker needs to be put on hiatus for a few years.
The mad Hatter using drugs to mind control people into doing crimes for him could be a really cool concept. I think it would seem very believable in this world considering how they already introduced drops as a drug. Maybe a new strain or addative he creates to take control.
Everyone who says they don't want a realistic take on these characters needs to wait for the dcu, cause Matt Reeves has said on multiple occasions that he wants this world to be completely grounded, even stating that Mr. Freeze is compelling to him for this reason, as he wants to see how it could be grounded. That's the point of this version. This is not the definitive live action one we're getting and the James Gunn take will likely be more comic book-esc and supernatural. Let Matt Reeves tell the story he wants to tell.
"The Batman" movies want to be grounded and realistic, so we won't be getting any meta humans, which is unfortunate because I want to see Clayface, Killer Croc, and Man Bat in a multi million dollar Batman movie.
Literally all of those could be grounded. Clayface a former makeup director who could change his face at will with a few strokes. Croc just tear off some of the crocodilan aspects of him and basically make him a circus freak from BTAS. Manbat might be a bit harder but could be done with making him more of an ecoterrorist who uses bats in crimes. Maybe similar to Ivy
the court of owls is a concept that parallels with the Pattinson's batman and his family, and now that the city is flooded, the control of the city can be disputed by the court
Only watched a bit so far but hush is a great shout. Would also love to see serial killers like mad hatter and calendar man make an appearance as I think they deserve live action appearances
I think what they do for now is that they should only have the joker in Arkham at least for now, and when people think it’s time for him to shine, he can escape or something
Id love the idea that after the flood criem rises and zasz is a villan that could work that sticks with the noir theme where batman has to find a serial killer
Really well done video man! Fantastic points for each villain. Personally, I'd want either Mr. Freeze or Scarecrow. Your points for Freeze would be perfect, and for Scarecrow, Crane could be like he was in the comics; a psychiatrist who specializes in fear-inducing gases who is trying to get back at the people who pushed him away from his normal life by making them live their greatest fears. This could also force Bruce to confront his own inner demons and really explore the mental side of Batman.
Scarecrow still feels so underutilized and would be a great choice for this universe, especially when Bruce is still so young and scared so I absolutely respect that choice
I genuinely believe Mr. Freeze would work. And he deserves another chance on the big screen. Gotham is flooded and underwater. Set it during winter and let him freeze over the city. That'd be fun to do.
11:25 This has just brought back memories of the original Batman video game. I had it on the PSP, and used to play it religiously, a lot more than any of my Ben10 or racing games. In terms of storyline, Clayface was one of the very first villains shown other than Riddler and Ivy, and I liked his character a lot. As for free mode, I would play as him a lot too. Something about his uniqueness intrigued me. I know shapeshifting is a common power, but his origin was really cool to little me when I googled him after playing the game for the first couple of times. I was so disappointed to find out that LEGO has never made an official Clayface minifig, as I was also being introduced to the world of DC and Marvel LEGO sets and beginning my character collection that is still ongoing (love for LEGO never dies, my parents loved the sets as much as me). I would love to see Clayface in a live-action adaptation done justice and a VERY overdue LEGO product. (EDIT) Upon googling LEGO again for Clayface, my vision for that has always been the game model for him, and although I actually really enjoyed the LEGO Batman movie, I would say that is an already established stage in his timeline. Call me greedy, but I think any set(s) of Clayface should showcase his slow transformation into mudmonster form and how the more he uses the cream, the worse it gets. Going from regular actor, to accident, to beginning of his abilities, to regular sized monster (game model) to big monster (LEGO Batman movie, although possibly a different model type) I'm very passionate about this character, I have been waiting for more Clayface content since I was below ten years old lmao.
I think we might have to wait until the DCU movies for Clayface. I love him to death, but clay-based Clayface is a bit too fanatsical for what it seems Reeves is going for. But it will be fun to see Justice Leage Batman/DCU Batman try to solve a clayface mystery. And it would have been the ultimate challenge for the detective Batman Reeves has made
It’s completely unrealistic that we’ll see it and I’m confident the DCU will embrace the fantastical but god it would be cool to see Pattinson on that case
It's like a lot of UA-cam. Quick voice over narrative, however I am really digging this "wish" of a new Batman villain. I'll admit I'm 54 and struggle at times with the fast narrative but, this one gives me hope for myself as it's very well done. Hear, hear! This is a super 15 minute video. Thank you and I'm a follower of your videos now.
11:32 I’ve actually always thought that the silver age Clayface would be perfect for Reece’s universe! He uses prothetics like the real movie uses on Colin Ferrel, and he uses clay on his victim’s faces to make molds of them! The police find a string of bodies, all with clay on their faces, Clayface killer, boom. And we still get to have him “shapeshift” into anyone he wants, but they have to be victims first
i really hope that some of the less-but-still-popular villains will make an appearence and give them more nuance like killer croc for example could be perfect if given a role similiar in his first appearence in the BTAS where he frames Bullock and subsequently murder bat-man who is on his tracks,Man-Bat and him struggling to keep his humanity intact each time he transforms or Basil Carlo Clayface (albehit him due to his abilities could be hard to make in a film)
I really want to see court of owls. I want to see bruce have to battle in every aspect. Between fighting the court during the day as bruce using detective work figuring out who they are. And fighting physically against talon, having to step up his game to keep up.

3 Hugo Strange it would be so cool to see him in this franchise considering how messed up Strange is, he fits perfectly with this tone of the franchise.

@@SeasideDetective2 mad hatter is a disgusting villain the things he does are horrifying in the comics the movie would need a R rating which WB wouldn’t go for it since PG13 will make more money

Scarecrow - already set up in the penguin. Theo Rossi is an amazing actor and needs to get revenge for his beloved Sophia.
Harley Quinn - can be reintroduced inside Arkham with Sophia.
Ivy - Her love for the earth could play well into how much Gotham has been destroyed.
Freeze - Just obvious.

How about the latest penguin show? It’s even more grounded than the film. I don’t think supernatural abilities work really well for this universe.
@@srinidhiacharla1766The Penguin is about the gangs and their chase for power because of Carmine's death, why would it not be grounded?
There's a lot of villains I'd love to see. I think Reeve's Batman would stay away from the hugely fantastical. I think Hugo Strange would work. I also think a version of Poison Ivy would really work well and be interesting.
Stay away from the fantastical. Then suggest the chick who controls plants and is even part plant in most of her appearances. Good call.
You don’t have to keep every part of her character exactly like the comics. You could do a version of Poison Ivy who is a hardcore climate activist who is willing to kill all of humanity in order to save the environment. 12:26 the problem with this concept for Bruce’s arc is that we basically just did that. @@Mr.TwoFaceGuy 👀
Hmmmmmmmm
Ok this idea goes insanely hard
yo umma need your take on the victor freeze or two-face, this slaps
I actually want scarecrow and mad hatter As a duo
But for mad hatter I would make him as a MK ultra /heavens gate cult leader type with him having his own Cryptic show and there are people going missing around Gotham and they all appear on his show and he talks about wonderland coming. wonderland being scarecrows plan to destroy Gotham

The most important part of clayface is how ron pearlman does the voice.

My top 5 villain list is like to see. Black mask, scarecrow, Mr. Freeze, court of owls, Hugo Strange and for extra bonus Maxie Zeus or victor zaasz
I want the Mad Hatter. Take away the silly demeanor and he is a truly terrifying villain.
Really love that idea and the thematic significance they have!

In terms of a more realistic take like how they approached the riddler, I’d say Poison Ivy. A bitter ex scientist poising people around Gotham fits well with its tone. Idk how they’d do someone like Bane or anyone too super human
Part 2 being a murder mystery again would give Professor Pyg being a candidate
i really really want ivy to be the villain in a movie down the line. she is one of my favorite villains and she's long due for a proper live action adaptation not just reducing to her seduction powers
Ivy could easily carry a movie as the solo villain so I hope we get her, if Reeves doesn’t wanna go supernatural she would be perfect for Brave and the Bold

I think we should get bane and black mask

Hush and the whole identity theft would be amazing
"The Batman" movies want to be grounded and realistic, so we won't be getting any meta humans, which is unfortunate because I want to see Clayface, Killer Croc, and Man Bat in a multi million dollar Batman movie.
Literally all of those could be grounded. Clayface a former makeup director who could change his face at will with a few strokes. Croc just tear off some of the crocodilan aspects of him and basically make him a circus freak from BTAS. Manbat might be a bit harder but could be done with making him more of an ecoterrorist who uses bats in crimes. Maybe similar to Ivy
I hope I'll ever see man bat live action before i die
the court of owls is a concept that parallels with the Pattinson's batman and his family, and now that the city is flooded, the control of the city can be disputed by the court
Or have him as a background menace, but not the actual focus of the story
@@BigJonB36 yeah that’s what I mean
Fantastic video
Going from regular actor, to accident, to beginning of his abilities, to regular sized monster (game model) to big monster (LEGO Batman movie, although possibly a different model type)
I'm very passionate about this character, I have been waiting for more Clayface content since I was below ten years old lmao.
Court of owls would be so sick for part 2.
Clayface is the best batman villian tbh
