Pro tip: if standing and bending over is not easy or possible for you to do, then try sitting in a chair and leaning forward. This could work with the hammock diffusing also. If even this is hard for you to do, then try styling upright till right at the end and then lean forward and scrunch your hair just to get that volume and root curl.

Yes and yes. Please do a full review on the bar shampoo and conditioner. Also a video on the new diffusing technique. Love your content. I am one year in to embracing my waves and curls. My hair no longer frustrates me. It looks healthy! Thanks to you and a few other u-tubers!
I am 2 yrs in and still haven't found wavy hair peace. My hair has grown from my shoulder blades to the top of my waist though. Heading to the salon get some layers next week because I love the length, but it's too heavy now. It's a continuous journey.
You’ll find your hair peace no worries! Pro hair stylist tip, don’t waste your money on a $100+ devacurl specialist haircut! Just ask for rounded perimeter, say how short you want your layers but say you want them disconnected to keep the thickness, ask to frame your face. Lastly, have them texturize the last 2 inches of your top layers. Hope that helps!
Hammock diffusing looks like it might be a game changer for me! I can get good definition after scrunching but a lot of my hair quickly loses shape due to weight
I just want to say thank you, you have taught me soooo many things and I have finally found good hair days, and I don’t hate my wavy frizzy hair anymore. I am very impressed with this video, soooo much editing, clips from so may past videos, and so much great information in it. I love the time you took to add those video clips it was much more helpful to have those in there. Your hard work has not gone unnoticed and it is appreciated! I found your channel 4 years ago and I am so thankful I did!
Same here. Trying to get my curls back. I had a long Afro. I am buying new products monthly. I think, no I know I need a haircut. When I do this. Should I do layers or just leave it as it is! Thank you hon. If not for you I'd have already given up. ❤
I actually really love brushing my hair completely back, applying the products and raking them, then letting my hair flop forward, shaking, and scrunching. Give me lots of root wave! It wasn't 100% fool proof when I had long hair and will always look different each time cuz that's hair (the right products help!) but my hair is very very very short right now, an undercut, so I really love the method! It just gets every piece some good definition And also I will say, my hair just naturally does not curl on every space of my head, some parts are just always gonna be flat by the crown, and that's okay too!
Yes, please! New diffusing video would be great!! My biggest problem is that my hair, no matter how much or little water, how much or little product, does not just tumble over itself and fall properly, especially if I go from upside down to right side up. But I don't know how to truly get it to lay the way I want WITHOUT TOUCHING IT! Then diffusing sets it in a weird position, and it doesn't want to do anything else! Seeing everything from taking down the plop to dry, without cutting stuff out, would really help!!! Thanks for all the great info over the years! You've really helped a ton!
Gave up on curly girl technique because I have extremely unruly curl pattern. Just dry 80-90% then put on magnetic rollers for a couple of hours. Gives me curls for a week with no touch ups.
I would love to see a new updated version on how to difuse. Also here is my struggle: I never get a cast and always have frizz. I do clarify when needed, don't use to much protein, use probably so much conditioner that it ways my hair down, use oils and still it is frizzy, aargh! But also very heavy and not so wavy anymore... so a video about this struggle would be verry welcome aswell😬😬😬 You are awesome btw😊
@@antoinettegriezmann8666 I dont think so, my hair hates to much proteins and if I use to much I get even more frizz and my ends get hard and brittle...

I'd definitely be interested in seeing a review of the shampoo and conditioner bars you are loving. I've never had any success with conditioner bars. I can never get enough of the product on my hair to make it work.
As always, I enjoy your videos and truly appreciate your content. I’d love to see a video of your new diffusing technique. I’m struggling with getting the full curl to my roots most days and it quite possibly could be how I diffuse.
Please do an updated video on diffusing! I think this is part of my problem with not getting curl to the root and getting straighter or elongated curls on the top. Thanks!
I'd love to see a full diffusing routine! My hair gets stuck to the back of my head near the neck. I style upside down and when i turn upright it's stuck. Its really annoying. 😅
Before you flip open your fingers and stick them in your hair at the root and lift it off your scalp as you flip upright. Let me see if I can find a video to show you because that probably made no sense.

Thank you so much for this video!!! I started my Wavy hair journey a few weeks ago and have not been able to get any wave/texture at my roots (which made me question if I really have wavy hair sigh). I will try these techniques my next wash day.
I have to use Harry’s gel for my hair to stay two days. Now that being said, I have issue with the back being stuck to the hair in the front if that makes sense.
Would LOVE to see a comparison of bars for shampoo and conditioner! I currently use Ethique, but would love to hear about others. Thanks for everything you do!
I thought that not everyone's hair curls at the roots. My hair starts to curl about an inch from the root. I've tried foams and the Bounce curl brush. I have glorious curls when I brush style. Just not at the roots.
I have a stand for my hair blower/diffuser. Got it on Amazon. It’s tiring to bend over for me sometimes. I’m going to try the root drying using the stand. Thanks for the tips.
My next try will be Innersence. Have you tried Bread hair curl capturing gloss yet? I'm on the wait list for the new brush from Bounce. For refreshers I love Amika curl refreshing spray and I have taken a liking Kerastase Curl Manifesto spray. And I'm loving their overnight serum and I think I may like their regular hair oil better than verb or either curlsmith oils.I do sleep in the cast too. I would love to see the bar shampoo and conditioner review. I want to use one so bad but I'm afraid of wasting the money on a product that will screw up wash day.
Question, the pineapple with the claw clip bedtime thing, is that instead of a silk bonnet or over the top? I have a silk bonnet but I'm an aggressive sleeper (by that I mean I sleepwalk, have night terrors, toss and turn a lot) so I wondered if people do this under the bonnet or just when they don't use/have a bonnet?

I am in my 70s. As a toddler, my hair used to have tight curls but t thought I had lost it and was left with just a slight wave. Then all of a sudden, about 6 months again, my hair went super curly. I loved it but had no idea how it changed. Then as fast as it appeared, it disappeared about 3 months later! It was then that I started searching the internet and found your site. My hair is shorter so it is faster to work with. It basically just needs scrunching with mousse & gel. Would I benefit at all from using the styling brush? Would it even be able to create the curls or do I just need to crunch? Do you have any suggestions for those of us with shorter hair?
Yes please do a full video on the hammock diffusing method! Also, do you apply the hairspray after your hair is fully dry? And do you diffuse more to set it?
I had my hair gal remove more length. Just below shoulder with a few layers, and it curls a bit more. Still having to hit my "flat side" with the iron once a week or so 😂
As someone who’s into skin and hair care, I have tried way too many products that don’t work, or stopped working. Sadly right now my hair prefers a shampoo and conditioner that is 60 all together 😢
I am still on the struggle bus with maintaining my waves overnight. I have tried all the things... pineapple, pineapple with a silk cap, the BamBonn, Medusa clipping...and I go from 2c waves to like 1c come morning. 😅 My guess is I'm maybe doing the pineapple too tight (I use a satin scrunchie and twist it twice , once and it'll fall out). I think I will try this one though, with clipping the front part and then using the pineapple.

Hi Courtney, I’m having a big problem and I don’t know what to do. I started noticing about 8 months ago that I was losing quite a bit of hair when washing it . I stopped going to the salon and getting my dyed. I thought it was because all the bleaching dyeing it blonde but it still is coming out.I started my curly hair journey about 3 months ago and I don’t know what products I should be using to stop the breaking and falling out. Would you please help me. I do take medication for pain. I’m fully disabled from a car accident in 2005 and I suffer from nerve damage and Arachnoiditis. I’m sorry for bothering you with my life story but I thought that the information would be helpful. I know it’s not the medication because I already took this problem to my team of doctors. I would be so great ful to get any kind of help you can offer me.
Hello Courtney, so sorry for what your mom went through, I too have had to have a cancer med infused and so I lost my hair. All my life my hair has been stick straight and it grew back in curly. I dint figure that out until my hair gal saw that I had curly parts to the back of my hair. I can't really do your methods because my hair is collar length, any tips for me?
I am so sorry you went through this! My hair is at a similar length! I have done this method on longer hair and shorter hair! It does take time for your hair to transition. Here is a video showing the method all the way though: ua-cam.com/video/VGT0URQd1Rc/v-deo.html Swing Curl Clump Method -- Hack to Styling Wavy Curly Hair
@SwavyCurlyCourtney Your hair just falls in even clumps. When wet finger detangling and swishing a little, I get frizz and a mix of thin and super chunky clumps. Frustrating 😅

I can't remember if she uses the Dyson or the Laifen. I love my Shark. For all your girls that have your hair stuck to the back of your head, start following a bunch of different content creators. I guarantee you will find a fix. The first 2 creators I followed were Courtney and India Batson. Now, I follow them all. And I ran in an old ex boyfriend of mine yesterday and he had the nerve to say, I like your hair straight better. I said well I don't give a rat's honey what you think. I don't live to impress you.
@lindakoberna3465 thank you and absolutely! May I ask which Shark you have? I have been seeing some great deals on the flex styler and have thought about getting that.
Your comment about missing spots with styling product gabe new a light bulb. I have a section on my left side at the front that has flattened. I might need to assess how I'm applying product!
I think I have fixed the problem. The issue may have to do with cookies in the browser you use. Clearing the cookies should allow you to access the website.
Have you just started on your wavy/curly hair journey? It can take awhile. Also, many factors are involved! Have you clarified and deep conditioned recently?
Natural hair on and off depends on the weather in the UK to be honest. I’ve clarified deep conditioned and nothing 😢ve spends hundreds on different products and nothing really works

How do you know what kind of roots you have? 🤔
I usually style my hair in the mornings and mist then apply my products, but then my hair has flyaways or fizz...please help
On second and third day hair, do you have to reactivate, or can you just move on to the gel or mousse?
I would please like to see a review on the shampoo and conditioner bars!
@SwavyCurlyCourtney Your hair just falls in even clumps. When wet finger detangling and swishing a little, I get frizz and a mix of thin and super chunky clumps. Frustrating 😅
New diffuse please
My wife paid for your guide but it didn’t get delivered to her phone. How does she get it resent
Please email me and I will get you the digital guide asap!
Hi.. I paid for your product guide. I downloaded the first pdf and the rest disappeared. I am sure it was my fault as I rarely use google drive. Can you please resend the links to me or tell me how to access them
Of course! Please email me and I can help you out!
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney please reply with your email address 😊
What hairdryer, diffuser combo is she using, plz?
That is what I have. I love the size of the diffuser. I have all the attachments although I have no idea why.
What if you have short hair?
This all applies to short hair!
I'd like to see a new diffusing video.
yes please xx
I also would like a new diffusing video.
💕💕💕
Your comment about missing spots with styling product gabe new a light bulb. I have a section on my left side at the front that has flattened. I might need to assess how I'm applying product!
Yes! Give it a try! Would love to know how it goes
And your website doesn’t work either
I think I have fixed the problem. The issue may have to do with cookies in the browser you use. Clearing the cookies should allow you to access the website.
I’m so sad. I don’t know why but my hair doesn’t want to curl. Barely got any waves to it 😢
Have you just started on your wavy/curly hair journey? It can take awhile. Also, many factors are involved! Have you clarified and deep conditioned recently?
Natural hair on and off depends on the weather in the UK to be honest. I’ve clarified deep conditioned and nothing 😢ve spends hundreds on different products and nothing really works
