BTW, switch comes with 2 ground jumpers and 2 purple jumpers on splice ends, most models…

Hi. I’m replacing the switch for my boat and correct me if I’m wrong. Was the wiring as follow?
1. Red
2. Black
3. purple
4. Yellow and black stripe
5. Yellow and red stripe
6. Black and yellow stripe.

Hello Robert,
1: Yellow/Red= Start Solenoid
2: Black = Ground
3: Yellow / Black = Choke
4: Red = +12V
5: Purple = Ignition
6: Black / yellow = Magneto (Is ground when in the off mode)

I believe it is14AWG no smaller than 16AWG
