    I believe that this is the same ignition switch for a 25 HP Mercury 2 stroke. Except it is not mounted in the dashboard. Mine is stripped out from the previous owner. I just bought one . I'll be switching over next week.

      Hello Timothy, I have fished for over forty years now and I can attest I want the most bang for the buck without breaking the bank. I put a lot of wear and tear on my fishing gear. The last 20 years I have dedicated to crappie fishing. I was disappointed in a lot of the crappie poles I had purchased over the 20-year span in the 8ft length class. Most of them had week backbone, cork handle would wear down and crumble and the pole tips would break. I will say the ACC crappie rod I was skeptical when i first saw them online. I took a chance and purchased one. Now I own 6 of the 8ft supper grip for spider rigging out in the deep water for wintertime fishing (Using 1oz weights). I also use them for jigging treetops as well. I have caught a few 7 lbs. black bass on them and occasionally huge catfish when minnow fishing. I paired the rod with a sharky 3 spinning reel 1000 series. A perfect match. The sharky three has a larger spool capacity, 100 % positive drive and twice the drag or braking capability over all other spinning reels in that same class. This combination has held up flawlessly. Got to my Facebook page or Instagram to see more pictures. David Standridge pinpoint fishing, I hope this helps you out! You have a Blessed DAY 😇

    I made my own thumper about a month ago. I used parts that very similar to what is seen in many DIY videos but I'm not seeing any reaction from fish! Thursday we were fishing in 33fow and I hooked a 20" Hybrid with the thumper thumping away...I spot locked the spot and the school left and we didn't catch another fish! During the day, I caught more Largemouth Bass than Hybrids deadsticking...even caught a 14.5" slab crappie. The lone hybrid was the only one we caught all day. Several other boats limited out on Hybrids that morning, we don't normally get to the lake until noon.

    • @pinpointfishingwithdavidst7977
      @pinpointfishingwithdavidst7977 Рік тому

      Well, there is more of a science than just building a thumper. I would say most of the public don't get what is actual taking place. That is why I have invested so much money in the patent technology for my DHT. I spent up to 4 years of field testing, experimenting, trying to figure this out and a ton of research on the various fish species what make them tick. Once you understand that then you can build a device that plays against their sensory.

    Been looking for a video where someone proved the effectiveness of a thumper. Your timing the response is the exact thing I've been looking for! I'm building one today. It will be a single hammer but it beats nothing! The motor speed is what to hear about...how do you figure out the speed of the thumper?

    • @pinpointfishingwithdavidst7977
      @pinpointfishingwithdavidst7977 Рік тому

      I have found by years of experimentation - My conclusion of the effectiveness from fish response by watching the graph. 30-35 beats a minute. I run a 50RPM gearmotor at 60 % speed. If i am in 20-25ft of water i may run a bit slower. Rember it's not so much about the sound. Best way to figure it out is to use 1" dial rod with a rubber tip, tap the bottom of your boat, find what works good in your boat for transferring vibration. You want the vibration transferring into the water. BUT BE aware of the trash fish- Catfish will generally be first on the scene, then stripers and sand bass. That is when you know you have it dialed in.

      @charlesfoster8814 Рік тому

      @@pinpointfishingwithdavidst7977 "trash fish" 🤣 = catfish... I've run a charter business for nearly 20 years. I've run overnight Tuna trips that were my favorite fishing trips. But I've never been a big fish eater. Running guided trips gave a place to get rid of the fish! 🤣 But I recently started started fishing fresh water and in September we caught some catfish on a guided trip. Cats are now my favorite fish to eat. I love catching Hybrids, White Bass are fun to catch, but Hybrids are my favorite in fresh water. In February 2019 I set a water body record for Striped Bass Yegua Creek that most likely came from the lake you were fishing in this video. There has not been any Stripers stocked anywhere close. TP&W did DNA testing to confirm specie on my fish! Tried to catch something (brought in dozens of odd fish) to set a record with from offshore...from 1974 to 2015 when I basically parked my big boat. 😁

      @@charlesfoster8814 Nice! You should hook up on my Facebook Pinpoint fishing (David Standridge) or Instagram . I post as much more fishing stuff there than you tube. This week was monster catfish while crappie fishing, we tried dip netting him twice, but the cat was just too big to fit in the net. we could only get 1/3 of the body in it. So, we settled for pictures and videos. I have now ordered larger netting material to replace what i currently have. Those are once in a lifetime catch to just let go without weighing them. we estimated 45 lbs. and or plus on 12 Lb leader line with a size one crappie hook. I would attach a picture but not for sure how to show it on a reply.

    I can vouch that this dual head thumper works like a charm. That day of fishing was incredibly fun. Seeing how many fish this device attracted was mind blowing. Have never seen that many fish under a boat before. Have fished with David many times over the years and he is awesome. David has always impressed me with his fishing skills and know how. This dual head thumper is an awesome addition to his bag of tricks for catching fish. As David has said, "if you ain't catching fish, you are just playing around."

      Also, thought I would add that my wife purchased one of these for me for my birthday. She and I went fishing about two weeks ago and used it. We had a blast catching fish that day. Note, I am no expert fisherman and still struggle with reading the graphs to locate fish. Previously purchased a Garmin Live Scope which has helped. It was cool seeing the fish come in after we cranked up the DHT.

    What’s the purpose of wetting the knot when tying it? Very informational!

    • @pinpointfishingwithdavidst7977
      @pinpointfishingwithdavidst7977 3 роки тому

      Anytime you tie a knot with monofilament or fluorocarbon line you must always lubricate the line before cinching down otherwise you will heat the line up as the friction builds between the lines that are rubbing together and therefore weakening the knot causing prematurely failure and risk of loosing a big fish.
