One of the most heavily promoted and previewed movies of the 1970s. I recall a construction site with high wooden fences, posters for this film pasted all around the site. Saw them at train stations, bus stops, theatres, billboards, shopping areas. A great, classic film, a real hero to both Italian-Americans and law enforcement.
Are you really Italian American if you cant' speak Italian?
@@JK-vc7ie Speaking the language helps, but is not a prerequisite to being a proud Italian-American.
@@spideraxis Not in my opinion. If you don't speak the language and have not spent much or any time in Italy then you are an American with Italian heritage (nothing wrong with that, by the way). You would be surprised how disconnected Italian Americans are with actual Italians and the reality of Italy in 2024....not just a fantasy frozen in time from 1900. Put it this way, Italians look at Italian Americans and Italian American culture and say, that's not Italian....at all.
@@spideraxis To law enforcement? Cops hate this film.
Frank Serpico is an Italian-American hero and his stature will only continue to grow. The restoration looked incredible.
There never was a teal tint in that movie in 1973. This 4k blows.
Classic movie 🎥
Frank Serpico is a real American hero a true honest cop.
The main reason I became a FED! We all need positive hero’s! Thank you Sir Serpico.
He arrested blacks so there goes him being a hero in today's WOKE America.
Frank Serpico reminded us that we all are Americans, WE are all SPARTANS, WE are here in this great country to serve and protect our lives, family, COMMUNITY and also to serve without reservation. WE are AMERICANS ALL….one community that will not be separated. IMHO….may the Grace of god go with all of us.
Be well and nothing but love for all.
PROTECT AND SERVE, HOLD FAST, never give in never give up.
An “honest cop”…two words you often never hear together
@@SocialBatRight? An honest cop is so rare that when one exists it’s suddenly a social phenomenon, scandal, book and blockbuster movie.
That role could never be forgotten.
"There are many different sides of FRANK SERPICO: a hero who was hated..a loner who was loved, and to some people: the most dangerous man alive: a honest cop who can't be brought."
Al Pacino at his best
What a complex character, what an actor. Love his role in this one! What a great movie!
Just finished this last night. It is awesome.
Absolute masterpiece!
Special Agent Jack Bauer brought me here. Definitely going to have to watch this soon.
I haven't seen this yet. Al Pacino is a hero of mine!
Really excited. I love this movie
Love this movie.
My favorite Pacino film, hands down.
I lived in NYC during that period. It was dangerous and everyone had either been the victim of a violent crime or personally knew others who had. A large part of that was due to the fact that so many cops were there just to collect bribes and didn't do the job they were hired to do. Crime was king then, including among the police. But after Serpico got shot and made national headlines, police were scared of going to prison for corruption and actually started doing real police work.
Excellent movie
Great movie!
The real Serpico is a undercover cop in Philadelphia
Hope you'll be doing a UK 4K release.
Seems to be happening now
Anyone here because of Charlie it’s always sunny
Enjoy… I have been there a few times. Make sure you watch his speech from jaws 🤣
My favorite movie❤❤❤❤
new bonus materials included (documentary, etc.)?
My fave Pacino Film
I'm here because of Rebel Ridge's movie when the character used a code name "Serpico" for cops fighting corruption
Great movie
I always wanted to be a cop as a kid. That's all I could think of. And then I saw this movie.
Where is the English release.. It's been 1 year.

Green filter much?
Such cheezy hutzpah
Please take off that nauseating background trailer music created by some 10 year old in an editing booth…. It’s an insult to the intelligence of the film makers.
Send me The music You would replace it with
@@mitchcarpenter4506 add in some 70s funky cop music and a narrator, it'd be better.
Thank you.
@@mitchcarpenter4506 - What else??? The original score brilliantly composed by Mikis Theodorakis
