The owner said he had retired from the NYPD (this shop was a very long way from New York). I asked if he knew of Frank Serpico, one of my heroes. The hindsight of 2020 looks back at this man and the time he lived in as he spoke truth the the order of his workplace command about problems with violation of base standard of job performance of a law enforcement officer takes on a new blush as we watch all that has happened since this time last year. The thought of 70 million people being what is left over from the varied degrees of "just doing my job," takes on a whole new blush when you consider the president's contract has not been renewed due to poor job performance, lack of popularity and high suspicion of corruption. When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. WOW! Thanks for posting!
I remember reading the book. Then I took my very sweet and affectionate girlfriend with me to see the movie. I loved the way she held my arm so tight during that film.

This is what happens when you go against the system. I was bullied and harassed at work by the lead so I went to the supervisor. The supervisor was close with the lead so now I made an enemy of the lead and supervisor so I went to the manager and the supervisor and lead talked all kinds of trash and now the manager was ignoring my complaints. Finally I just went to a lawyer sued the company and quit. It’s a tough uphill battle that’s incredibly frustrating. My life wasn’t in danger but I can only imagine what Frank went through. This whole story needs to resurface. It's hard to imagine Hollywood making a better movie then Al Pacinos Serpico, but the story needs to be presented to modern audiences, maybe even a Netflix series.
Thank God for Paul Delise …,Frank found a great , honest partner
THE LEGEND FRANK SERPICO
What an honorable man
Serpico was an honest cop, and for that he was left to die and hated by the entire new york police department, just a few bad apples huh???
The orchard is poisoned.
Thank you for uploading this.
This is a very good true story I will definitely show this to my children who one day they want to be police officer that’s a dream come true for my children and a lesson in this story I enjoy this video and I talk about to my wife and kids that not all police officer are not bad it’s people that change you to be bad one day when my kids get older and join the force I will tell them wear the badge proud thank you for the video and thanks for Frank Serpico for being honest
Thank you Frank.
Aren’t ALL law enforcement officers supposed to be like him?
The hindsight of 2020 looks back at this man and the time he lived in as he spoke truth the the order of his workplace command about problems with violation of base standard of job performance of a law enforcement officer takes on a new blush as we watch all that has happened since this time last year. The thought of 70 million people being what is left over from the varied degrees of "just doing my job," takes on a whole new blush when you consider the president's contract has not been renewed due to poor job performance, lack of popularity and high suspicion of corruption. When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. WOW! Thanks for posting!
.Much respect✌🏾❤️
Amazing Man, an example for all of us to follow.
Cool guy and only the coolest of actors could play him!
I remember reading the book. Then I took my very sweet and affectionate girlfriend with me to see the movie. I loved the way she held my arm so tight during that film.
That is a beautiful memory.
And people don't know about this guy, I wonder why ;) should have been put in charge writing the new plan and system for the american police service. A bastion of true law enforcement/policing.
Maybe because the powers don’t want us to question authority particularly in a rational, civilized manner.
Pretty sure internal affairs started after this . So it was some progress
Frankie your a great Warrior, standing your ground and fighting chasing evil. Your so brave like the Apostles, Moses, The Real Yeshua, Abe Lincoln, Martin Luther The real Knights Templars bf evil King Phillip sold out Vatican into the mafia. The mafia and king Phillip corrupted Christianity. You really changed the world for good. I think even bad guys deeply respect you. You did not sellout.
Growing up we had to make our own toys and remember having a blast with our make believe adventures. Children today have things much to easy, problems arise when kids want the expensive video equipment of which they can’t afford.
This is inspiring :)
What's sad is, Frank did not change a damn thing
NYPD, is still the stinking cesspool of corruption that is was in Franks time.
Frank is a hero, and deserves to go to heaven when he dies, period.
NYPD has one good cop. Here's what they did to him.
He was awesome in Independence Day as the crazy scientist.
Ba dum tiss…….🥁
Great man. Respect him deeply.
... "…A TOP BLOKE SAY I..."… Brilliant Documentary... Cheers Alot From 🏴🖖🤓
You went through so much and it shows how people were so full of crap then and now god bless you
Very good I always heard the name and Al Pacino did a movie on this man but I never saw Serpico's face. Good job Biography.
The serpico family r good ppl.i work with his brother sal in long island.he had qualities just like his brother.
u did not, liar
Serpico is popular all over again because he's got brass balls. What we really respect in Law Enforcement. I was very young when I seen this movie first, it shaped me. I function best in accountability. ✌️
thx hun
Serpico was and is a TRUE HERO God bless and keep you Sir
This is the kind of cop we need on our streets, not Punisher fanboys.
Irreplaceable. Noble. Unique. Thank you Sir, for all that you are. You are the kind of person would I’d love to sit with and have a cup of coffee. Believe me, I don’t say this lightly…Wish you all the best.
I can't believe how much Pacino actually looks like Serpico....🤔
thanks son
No wonder 🤔 now I know he was a veteran a true soldier 🪖 protector of good people and land .amen. true man America needs leaders like this man amen.
My main criticism of this show is that the photographs are presented without regard for the time they were taken. The photos should only be photos of Frank from the actual year the story is talking about.
Mr SERPICO was quite a handsome young man 😍🔥
my hero
God bless him every day...
The most famous cop in the world
Serpico was in Puerto Rico when they called him Paco.
lol
The sad truth.... Literally nothing has changed at the NYPD. Absolutely nothing.
Frank Serpico. How many times does any family have a person like Frank that rarely hits the mark of honesty, integrity. And love for life an truth an an influence for everyone to try to live with just that. 1960-72 NYC The organized crime influence to that citys image an law etc. He is 85? He lives today an example that helps people today to not give up hope. His example brings hope.
I ADMIRE YOU FRANK ❤ SERPICO. YOU RISKED YOUR LIFE AGAINST YOUR CORRUPTED COLLEAGUES AND THANK GOD 😊 YOU SURVIVED 🙏. I ALSO WATCHED THE MOVIE 🎬 WITH AL 👍 PACINO PLAYING YOUR ROLE AND 😀 I LIKED 👍 😀 IT. I'M ALSO HAPPY 😊 😃 WHEN GREEK COMPOSER, MIKIS THEODORAKIS WROTE THE ♥ INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC/ SOUNDTRACK.
A real hero, against crime and against the system .
You're right you're right he's better than any damn politician cheap politician where the Democrats or Republicans. Serpico deserves to have an icon painted with his image and name on it. To present it to him and his family and hopefully behind the captain's desk on every damn police station
That’s why there’s a movie about him now and his story is known. My respects to Frank!
And my respects to you😊
When I was a young guy we used to love those officers and detectives that didn't have the inner fortitude of a Frank Serpico
A great cop.
Respect big time 👏👍❤🏆🙏
Far removed family - We're related to Frank Serpico, through my great grandmother.
Her name was Angelina Serpico. She immigrated here from Margliano, with her father, around 1905. In 1906, my great grandfather followed Angelina to America, he was in love.
Angelina married Frank Vaia, and boom, started our family line in Chicago.
