Dan Lok I’m watching so closely... you’re coming to a fork in the road sifu... with all due respect, a concerted social media campaign fueled by a team of micro influencers is in order. When you have a message and resources you’re in a lane with many others. You, yourself, are unique. This market space is not. You’re a businessman. "You can keep your money, but also you keep your problem." Such a powerful statement that, no matter what, will ring in the heads of potential clients. Love it.
I felt like I was in church when I heard that statement...lol!!! I rewound it multiple times to take it all in. I know feel like I can be a whole lot better at closing when setting the agenda and inserting powerful statements. I am lit and anything or anyone that gets next to me will get burnt!!! Thanks Dan!!!
I listened to your work (17 posts) this past week. I just started a business. Yesterday I made my first sale. Your work made me confident enough so that I could actually sell my service without cringing or feeling scared. Thank you.
@@Don1228 It's their money and they don't owe you an "agreement". I love this because this marks the end of me hearing "I want to think about this." for the rest of my life. So Let's practice: Diana: Because you call me to find out more about Watsu® [the service that I offer], I am assuming that you believe there is a possibility that WATSU is of interest to you, or you may even want to try it. True? Prospect: Yeah. Diana: So before we go into our conversation, can I ask you a couple of questions? Prospect: Yes, of course! And that's good, we can work together, and I can facilitate you to have a Watsu experience. The second thing that you could say is: No And that's ok. I’ve been using this technique for 15 years and it’s extremely powerful. Good to be reminded of it. We used to call it “breaking the pact” people often would agree with their partners before we would meet with them that they wouldn’t buy and would think things over before I’d even get in front of them. This sort of technique would break that pact.

Hey Dan. I just wanted to thank you for being such an impact in my life. I'm 17 years old and I really see a change in my life now. Before I started watching your videos, I didn't know what to do with my life. I used to hang out with friends who partied, smoked and chasing after girls and wasting their-they had no real future. And I couldn't see a descent future for myself as well. But after watching your videos starting this year, I've decided to change for the better. I recently finished reading your book (FU Money), which is the first ever book I've actually finished reading. I've also launched my first eccommerce store, selling products online. I've let go of all my "friends" and started surrounding myself with people who have a future, who want to get somewhere in life. You have truely inspired me to be the best businessman I can be. And because of you, I know very soon I shall make MY FU MONEY.
Hello Dan, You had advised us to use this technique several weeks back. Just letting you know that I've used it to close deals. Now, some people weren't a good fit because I didn't do due diligence. But this technique has been very powerful.
Thank you Dan Lok. I really appreciate your time to share your knowledge with me in youtube platform. I literally crying because I don't make a sales yet even already a month. Never met Dan Lok. Never seen him in real life. Not even my personal mentor, but damn- just watching his videos and I’m here roleplaying what he said is very informative and inspires me to be like him or maybe someone better :)
I closed peoole who rejected me 6 to 7 times, I have my brand product, now I have 16 clients in one month and more 5 are coming and we will make add for 13 000 000 people I closed people not om phone but in person, I closed ceos of companies in my country, rich people, difficult customers, I was watching your videos and I took actiom, that is why I am working hard and learning from people like you and I want to win.
This actually works like gold. I did this the other day with a new client for my gym and it went amazing. Finally I didn’t hear that damn objection. Thank you Dan 🙌
It happened few times with me that they said they will think about it and will let me know. I thank Dan Lok to add lot of valuable value to grow in life by execution and positive mindset.
Well, he makes a lot of sense in al his videos. I usually watch his videos twice or even three times to really get the real essence of the message. Very illustrative!
Like you said the real essence is sometimes so deep you don't hear it at first. And are you implementing what you are learning? It's easy to get more knowledge but hard to take action 💪
Hey Dan, I appreciate your technique on "I want to think about It." You reinforced something I learned and forgot. I will put it in use on my next face to face. Major thanks.
Hi Mr.Lok, I have started pre-framing my conversations with my clients and I have had a better reaction. Going to continue watching your videos, thank you.
I think this technique is for businesses that are already built their brand and reputation. But if you're starting up, the video "when the client says 'I'll get back to you'" is the perfect technique to follow. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm the hardest person to sell to. I say "I'll let you know", "I'll get back to you", "Let me think about it", etc, every single time. Then I go home and think about it and in most cases, I don't need the product but just want it. However, if it's absolutely necessary, I'll buy it. I've always just been super picky and selective about what I spend my money, time, and energy on. Which I think is a valuable quality in most cases. Also, I have a background in marketing, sales, and consumer psychology, so I'm always reading into the sub-communication of those who are selling me something, trying to figure out their strategy and tactics and analyzing why they're doing/saying what they are, and what they're trying to get me to do/think. And salespeople hate me cuz they can sense how I'm super stingy, skeptical, and analytical of them lol.
I like Dan because he is a clear and direct communicator and gives you applicable steps as a mentor. I'm learning! Sifu, can you also please, please do a video on what to put in the follow up letter of agreement and letter of non-disclosure? Thank you.
How come I didn't hear about Dan years before? I feel I lost a lot of time. "Before the meeting, set the agenda, that's fair?" So POWERFUL advice! Many thanks!
I heard Emma's Voice in my head when you said "normally if people say "I Need to think about it" it's a No, you were just being polite..." Thank You Sifu.
Step # 1. If you are in a home service market, try to be their 2nd, or 3rd estimate. Otherwise you will have a VERY hard time overcoming the "We need 3 quotes". Not impossible, but takes a LOT more time to build trust, and identify/solve price concerns. Unless you were referred of course.
That is my pet peeve.. "Let me think about it" After, I have completed the tour and I always feel it's a game! Because I ask questions before the tour then after everything... Let me think about it. I have other properties to see. I will get back to you. BUT... Before the tour..they are kissing my behind please show me the units you have available. Then... a flat no! I needed this video. Thank you Dan Lok! (:
I have tried this and it worked well. I gave my prospect the 3 options up front and she jokingly gave me a 4th option about doing whatever it took to find the money to work with me and she's now working with me so we closed.
I love this video Dan. I'm looking to consult people in the beauty industry startups specifically in the skincare industry. And this video hit home for me because it's a "preventative tool." And in skincare prevention is EVERYTHING. Please keep videos like this coming! - A big fan
Great video Dan. I agree with you its important to set the terms and control the meeting like you explained. It cuts down on wasting both peoples time. If someone is interested things can proceed and this whole being nice thing is crap. We are all adults and can accept rejection. If its not in the cards right now, it is what it is. Now that doesn't mean the future is a no but right now it might not be the right time for the prospect/ customer or their problem isn't a big enough pain in the ass yet. Keep up the awesome work.
I can never thank you enough for these advices. It hits me very hard in every words, because it is exactly what I've been struggling with and trying to solve for the last 9 months. Very hard skills. Very tough job. I think I've managed to get it, I'm getting deals
This is such great advice. I have used this one time and it eliminates games and chasing It gave me confidence to negotiate on an even keel. I will modify what Yoda said " there is no i dont know there is just do or dont do...."
Great learning Dan, recently I asked my client straight without adding any sugar cotting, how can i serve my skills to solve your problem and he ended up with some postive conversation.
Dan, seriously I’m closing one deal tomorrow morning..... Thank you very much for this suggestion.... definitely I will ask these 3 questions before starting deal..... I am so grateful that you care about giving back and because of this share your valuable information with us. Thank you so much for this Dan. This bullshit objection is also dependent upon how motivated the buyer is. I never heard this from a guy facing a jail sentence or a pending divorce action, hehehe!!! Some sales jobs are easier than others. When I did hear "Can you do better on your fee?" My response was, "Sure, I can double it if you like." End of objection. Somebody always makes the sale, you with a yes, the customer with a no. Great vid Jiaoshou!
Dan, love your version on the "Up Front Contract"! The power of the "UFC" is it is the close. I got to ask, have you had Sandler training? Many of your techniques and terminology sound as if you had. Thank you so much for actually teaching and not just promoting.
Most salespeople don't like hearing no; I do. Of course I like hearing yes better but give the choice to hear no or maybe, I will take a no all day. It's all about time management and how fast you can get to a yes or no. This is a great way to get to a yes or a no as fast as possible. On the flip side, you will probably lose a few potential deals by forcing someone who truly is not ready to make a decision into a no but you will gain it back tenfold in the time saved from all the maybes that turn into nothing.
Mr. Dan I learned a lot from your videos but it's not not enough.. I hope that you can visit here in the Philippines and conduct a seminar.. Thank you!

Dan! I mustered up the courage to do it😮 and ….IT WORKED BRILLIANTLY! The prospect actually offered her yes (on her own) at the end of the session. Yay Yay Yay! Love your videos. Learning a lot! Definitely subscribe, guys!
best advice ever!. i face a lot of people saying like this. its true!. they don't come again. until they realize they need u back.
As I always say you always come with the real. No fluff. Straight to the point. Great video.
That's me.
Never met Dan Lok. Never seen him in real life. Not even my personal mentor, but damn- just watching his videos and I’m here roleplaying what he said is very informative and inspires me to be like him or maybe someone better :)
i used this technique right away and i converted a sale thank u so much Dan
Thank you Sifu Dan for yet another pearl of universal sales wisdom !
So much value and this is free ... Telling my prospects this as just before the meeting. No games no bullshit.
Marvin, correct.
Dan u r the first salesman that can make me laugh. Your humor is amazing
Well, he makes a lot of sense in al his videos. I usually watch his videos twice or even three times to really get the real essence of the message. Very illustrative!
Like you said the real essence is sometimes so deep you don't hear it at first.
And are you implementing what you are learning?
It's easy to get more knowledge but hard to take action 💪
setting the agenda is something that really works! Therefore at the end you now have a clear picture whether its a YES or a NO.
Hey Dan, I appreciate your technique on "I want to think about It." You reinforced something I learned and forgot. I will put it in use on my next face to face. Major thanks.
Clarity, time saving, to the point.
Sure your proud of being super stingy. Then why would you need to say yes to anything to better your life. You seem cool with substandard. LOL.
Many thanks!
yup happened to me "I want to think about it" - I prefer how Dan preframes it's so powerful!
Hey @dan , I just replied one Singapore customer this line and the said " unprofessional " and bring sensible salesmanship.
I heard Emma's Voice in my head when you said "normally if people say "I Need to think about it" it's a No, you were just being polite..." Thank You Sifu.
This way of approaching a sale is GOLD!!!
Step # 1. If you are in a home service market, try to be their 2nd, or 3rd estimate. Otherwise you will have a VERY hard time overcoming the "We need 3 quotes". Not impossible, but takes a LOT more time to build trust, and identify/solve price concerns. Unless you were referred of course.
Best Man Alive In This planet .
Rewatching this at a later stage of my entrepreneur life. This material ages like fine wine.
- A big fan
Dan, I love you man. You're super consistent with providing great value on every platform. Cant wait for you to hit your first billion.
Mirko, you're getting it.
Thank you Dan
Good content as always! Setting the agenda is like a pre-agreement to the actual agreement!
Gave this method a shot ! This works so well ! Thanks so much Dan !
I can never thank you enough for these advices. It hits me very hard in every words, because it is exactly what I've been struggling with and trying to solve for the last 9 months. Very hard skills. Very tough job. I think I've managed to get it, I'm getting deals

This guy is helping me with my business for free with these vids!
Yes, I agree with the comment below. I love and could say that I am a bit addicted to your videos and always look forward to watching more since I learn so much from you and you have so much wisdom that you share with us. I am so grateful that you care about giving back and because of this share your valuable information with us. Thank you so much for this Dan. It's also nice to see Vancouver in the background since I grew up in North Van and miss it very much. :) RJ
Thank you for the video. I'm not even a sales person but I love your videos and wisdom.
Good point. I am going to try it next time. Like you said: our time is valuable and we only want to meet with qualify clients.
Hey Dan, just bumped on your videos n l blve it will take my business to a higher level.from Kenya
As a person starting out in sales, this is great advice Dan!
thanks Dan, your vision in life is great and I'm one of the people who are learning priceless things.
Love your content! Could you do a video or few videos on how to sell an online course? Your methodology of doing business makes so much sense.
This yes or no concept .... I do this every time 😍
I truly have this all the time.
Dan, love your version on the "Up Front Contract"! The power of the "UFC" is it is the close. I got to ask, have you had Sandler training? Many of your techniques and terminology sound as if you had. Thank you so much for actually teaching and not just promoting.
Agreed
I like this agreement upfront with prospects! Just don’t waste each other time..
Going to set this tone from the beginning of all my upcoming meetings! I love this, prevention is better than cure 🙏🙏
Dan: your content gets better and better! love it
Wow. I've been getting that objection string lately. Thanks Dan. I'll try it today and send my feedback
Where is your feedback ? Oh wait a minute !! Do you need to think about it ?
Mr. Dan I learned a lot from your videos but it's not not enough.. I hope that you can visit here in the Philippines and conduct a seminar.. Thank you!
You are my hero. If I got a chance to attend your seminar. I must be very happy.but I did watch all your videos . Thank you so much for sharing.
