Dan, I do cold calling extensively to set appointments so that I can meet them and pitch about my products in person. Sometimes, these prospects respond positively all the way until the meeting time, where they just ghost on me at the last minute. Is there something that I'm doing wrong? Or are there any ways to mitigate that? Thanks.
should all entrepreneurs who want to start a business need to have background in operation and design functions moreover what functions do you think is necessary to have background in to start a business(generating revenue functions-operational functions- legal functions)
Dan Lok - Buying Signals 1 Nodding their heads 2 Asking about a specific product 3 Using possessive statements 4 Asking you about price 5 Asking you about delivery and start date 6 Asking you risk minimization statements (bonus) Thanks Dan!
Prospective buyer's signals 1.Spending time looking at one product type. 2.Looking around for someone to help them. 3. Asking questions about the detail. 4.Asking about the price. 5.Using possession language. 6.Asking another person's opinion. 7.Body state changes:Any transistion in non-verbal communication will typically signal a change in mental state that may well indicate a readiness to buy. 7.Touching the money: If they touch their wallet or purse and especially if they get out cash or credit card, this is a strong signal for you. However,if the customer is not ready to buy, they may exhibit the following: 1.Avoiding eye contact with you. 2.Making "not now" excuses. 3.Casual handling of the product. 4.Looking at many different products. 5.Moving around quickly.
1. Prospects are nodding their heads/ touching the product 2. When prospects ask about a specific product 3. Prospects use possessive statements 4. When prospects ask about price 5. When prospects ask about delivery/ start date
College isn’t supposed to teach you sales. If you established a valuable network, got good grades and LOR, and can get a job post-graduate, you learned sales in college.
Oversaled once, never did it again. I was too exicted for big business with prospect that before closing one deal I was already selling another product for extra. It is good to close another deal after the first because the prospect is still in “buying high”. Always close the first one! 😄 Great work, Dan! 👍
Love this video. Very relevant for my business. 1. Nodding 2. Ask about the specific product 3. They use possessive statements “this would look very good in our living room!” “I should send my friends to your training.” 4. They ask about the pricing 5. When your prospective is asking risk minimisation technique. “How is your post support, product warranty?”
Dan Lok is the man! I started watching him two weeks ago and he's already inspired me to create my own UA-cam Channel - How To Get Rich. I never thought I'd even be seeing myself in the video - it felt awkward. But Dan Lok's relatable way of putting across ideas has even helped me with some of my offline engagement with my business clients! Thanks Dan! :)
I am salesman for 6yrs and This is all Truth . especially when the customer asking for a price and if theyre asking for Discounts .thanks Sir Dan for adding me more knowldge. watching here in Philippines💖
No this is a objection. Oooh it sounds good but I need to talk with my wive/ husband/ family/ the local toothfairy about it. Then you never hear from them again or if they take the phonecall they say, oh no we have decided we don’t need your service goodbye 👋🏼
Great video Sifu. I think the salesman enjoyed listening to himself too much instead of listening twice and looking at your words and reactions to the product he was selling to know now was the time to close the deal. People are so used to talking that they don't see the things you had mentioned to us when the customer is ready to buy. I think the personalization of an item speaks volumes that they want the item. Now its a matter of closing the deal and moving on to other customers. Great lecture Sifu.
I just started working at a furniture store and after watching your videos, I was able to overcome customers objection, closed it and made my first sale on my 3rd day! Hope your proud of me sifu Dan Lok even though you don't know that I exist :L
i just start my own bussiness for like 1 month in consumer goods, and i was thought that all that signal was just a normal respond. Now i know all of that stuff are buying signals, i should've make more closing when i recognize that again. Thanks dan :)
*Closing a lead is really the best feeling ever. The day I first signed my contract for the first ever client in my consulting business was the best day ever.* *However, had I known those trips that Dan's teaching us over here the day would have been weeks earlier! 1 FACT about DAN LOK is, He has great presence of mind. Real this types of techniques is not mention in any books. This is really gained from presence of mind. GREAT REALLY GREAT MR.DAN
Dan I'm so impressed with your techniques yesterday I began selling shovels, I bought just cheap items of eBay ie herb vapourisers just to move them on, and other items that are in demand on the street level I can double my return bottom line, thank you Dan you have helped an alcoholic turn his life around by investing the money I use to piss up a wall, yes 30 years ago I was earning $100 per hour as a house builder, then crashed... So learning from just one video did the trick.. Very grateful kind regards jj
I know that I have lost sales, there is so much to know and learn about sales. Sales is fun yet requires work. I was caught up in the it sales itself, but the more and more I think about that saying I find it not to be true at all. You have to put forth the work, training and investing in yourself to learn everydat and take action. This video was very helpful and tools that I can start using asap. Great Tips!
I just realized I had so many clients that were willing to buy my products but I didn’t have the confidence to fight for my sale. To close a sale. To ask for money. I would have gotten 10 clients by now in this 6 months. Anyway, you make mistakes and learn. I believe all can work out now💪🏽
Hello Dan am a young aspiring entrepreneur I have been following your works lately am presently reading your FU money book so amazing God bless you. My question is this sir, you advise first time entrepreneurs not to start a business but partner or invest with businesses that have succeeded for over 10years ...Sir is it advisable to do this when you have no high income skill? I might sound stupid sir but I sincerely need clarity on this thank you sir.
I just come randomly across this video, when today I closed a quick deal with a prospect who was in touch with me for almost 2 years, small sale but the first one with her. I indeed understood that this time she was ready after I have recognized now signal 6 as she was asking delivery date. I just pushed her a little for confirmation of delivery tomorrow and the deal was done.
Thank you so much for your videos. I have applied them and they are effective and give results!! Buying signs, I identified was the way they asked for pricing and touching the merchandise! I need to stop talking and let them feel comfortable to ask more of the product or services!! I actually missed a couple of sales because of this. But it's okay 👍 now I'm going correct that behavior!! Thanks 👍 😊
In the Furniture business, I recognize “do you offer financing” and do you offer discounts etc. I’ll certainly be more aware of this and take more action with my prospects!
Helo Dan! I just want to thankyou for all your videos! You are my mentor and you are the best adviser ever. I really achieved something big nowadays just because of you. So thankyou🙏🙏🙏!!!
It's about finding the good balance. If you rush for the close, it may turn the prospect off, and if you delay it will kill the sale. Dan has a special way of handling the buying signal, and you can learn exactly how you can do it in Dan's free masterclass -- therichmindset.danlok.link
Dan kindly accept my sincere gratitude...lot of respect and love towards the work you are doing my Buddha... Hoping to do many good thing once I become successfull and make you proud.
It is very frustrating when a sales person talks their way out of a sale. Or trys to help me when all I want to do is look around and see what catches my eye but they keep making unwanted suggestions. When I go in to buy I usually already know what I want. Experiences like that are usually overwhelming and I end up just leaving empty handed. The customer asking about the warranty could be a sophisticated customer just wanting to become more knowledgable about your product. Thank you Sifu!
thank you very much, Master dan. I carefully see all your videos, and take notes with my understanding at the same time. It expands my mind a lot. Like all your videos.
i recognise a buying signal that you mentioned. when somebody asks me how and when he/she shall start working with me during partnership agreements, that's a buying signal and that's a point to close a sale.
Sir since last month Im following you now I watch only your videos to enhance more deals in online furniture selling. Previously I was transporter and then I started my Real estate business but couldn't succeed , currently im selling online furniture in Pakistan . How can I be a UA-camr like you Jamil Ahmed Solangi from Khairpur mirs Sindh Pakistan You are my mentor love you sir
After identifying the buying signals, is there a specific way to go in for the close? There are times whereby I’ve identified the buying signals but when going in for the close the prospects say they need more time/ get back to me. I tried using your technique about finding out the real reason, but they said it’s their own calculations/ evaluations on their side of things. How should I respond to these scenarios?
Mr D you are very good in teaching 👌you give us examples to make it simple to understand 🙏financial Advisor in SA you don't know how much I improved my selling skills God bless you 🤑🤑🤑🤑
Hey dan! I have been following your videos for a while and i have learned a lot from watching them. I work as a telemarketer that sells health insurance and i was wondering if you could do a video on sales signals on sales on the phone for an "invisible" product such as insurance where its not really a product or service. Or maybe some tips on how to close sales for products like insurance. Thanks!
These signals might be obvious. But this video is still so necessary. Thank you @DanLok for the confirmation on these signs. Love this video 💯 Btw thanks for the extra Tip.
When about to listen to words of wisdom his click like and share before viewing...thank you Dan lok.. Alot of people would ask you for advice and ask for money but to be honest your my online mentor and I feel like one day I should do something for you... Cause you have done more than enough by giving me and others The greatest gift of all (knowledge) so for now I thank you once again cause you have me change my life and become a young entrepreneur owning a small business and it's from listening from the master and learning... No where I want to be but going to make shit happen and excited cause I know the best is yet to come thanks again Dan lok
Dan thank you again! I know that the prospect is not interested whenever he comes with irrelevant questions ("whats the size of the bathroom glass box, etc."). I call this "side questions".
Morning Dan. I recogize the touch one. But some sales people overuse this one too much. Like some sales people put the product in your hand.. like those in New York.. selling personalized cups etc. Funny thing is u feel guilty and actually buy it 90% of the time hahah. Instructive video
Always overdelivering with the content, Dan! It's funny that you showcase this video, one of the mistakes I was doing when selling from booths (best practice by the way) is when people ask me: 'How much is it?' And I say 'I'll tell you after you read it and I tell you more about it!' Most of the times, if not all - whether they read it or not, they still believe the price is too expensive, so by answering these questions up front and not blabbing, I save my time and the prospects time. Always eye opening, Dan! Let's see how many of these I can pick up next week! ;-)
Hi! I like and agree with nodding the head and the using of possessive statements. I work in senior living and I am selling high end apartments with hundreds of thousands dollar entrance fees for high priced apartments and the main concern with everyone that comes in is selling their home - leaving their home and how to downsize. So when I do a sale I have to develop that trust with the Prospect and it could take months before they buy. But I also have to agitate the problem which is being home alone when elderly; house expenses, there’s the safety, socialization issue. So when people start moving towards the sale and trusting me and asking questions about risk and when they can move in then I know they’re heading towards the sale. I had a question, is it a good idea what I’m selling to say “so if you were to choose to live here this is what you would experience” and give them an example? Or is it better to talk as though they are going to move in and they already have moved in. Thank you for any insight and thanks for all your help.
I didn't know about these question, but I using some of these questions when I want to buy something. Very useful advice, thank you Dan! I'll thinking about this.
Dan does this work the same for digital content? I'm thinking of selling these products but not sure if it works any differently if I'm honest because sales seem different when it's not physical. Thanks :)
Great info, but I disagree with the head nodding signal. People nod their head for a number of reasons: agreeing, appearing to understand, reassuring others while they’re talking, etc.
Hi Dan, i got 5/5 buying signals from a client. Great to know I'm on the right path. The client did buy quickly after, how would you close the deal then and there?
my biggest problem right now is deciding whether 2 quit my day job (the job is annoying) and focus on 2 other things I've been doing part time the income of which is currently unsteady but has great potentials.
The one I recognise is the one where customers use possessive statements, ask questions about the products and touch, but yet most tines they don't buy anymore, mostly because of price and I use to feel that they don't appreciate my products enough
sir I need to know that is this rules apply for every business like my work is to sell the ladies shirts and froks for seasons and I started it before 4months before im not I properly a sales man so what should the things applied to expand my business
Thank you Dan for another great video and also for bonus tip. I think body language is very important and many times underestimated when it comes to selling in person. Would you mind creating some more videos about it?
Always great value Sifu. I see some people asking what to do after you recognize it. He would probably tell you to qualify them. Ask them questions to get THEM talking, and move towards the close from there.
I thought I had a customer wanting to start a job, and when I told him I wanted xx for a deposit they ghosted me. Was that an indication I wouldn’t get paid for my work? Love the videos dan, I’ve been trying to implement some of your techniques to my Excavating business.
How to sell when we just start sell something ? Because we did not know a lot of people? For sb we known we call them or We just post it in our page? Thank you
I recognize the head nod.. but only as an encouraging sign, not really as a buying signal I had no idea about them asking for the other models and color as a buying signal
What is the biggest problem you’re facing
in your life right now?
Comment below. I might just make a video
and solve that problem for you.
Have a project but don't have a plan to execute
Dan, I do cold calling extensively to set appointments so that I can meet them and pitch about my products in person. 3. Prospects use possessive statements
4. When prospects ask about price
5. When prospects ask about delivery/ start date
People could do hours of presentations and still not give as much value as you give in under 10 minutes. Thank you!
I learned more about selling by watching Dan's videos than I did during my whole college. Wisdom and hard work pays off.
The college runners were the sales people, and you were their customer.
@@DJcyberslash more like they gave about not a single fuck about you all they cared about was money
I agree with DJcyberslash 100%, haha. Colleges don’t effectively teach you sales. They teach you liberal BS, not how to be effective at sales

my biggest problem right now is deciding whether 2 quit my day job (the job is annoying) and focus on 2 other things I've been doing part time the income of which is currently unsteady but has great potentials.
excellent video dan-All of these are Spot on
Your a legend Dan Lok in sales
Almost all of them and I have lost sales too. I now recognize them, won't loose sales again
Thanks indeed, i have been watching ur videos, nowdays i'm really feeling confidence
The one I recognise is the one where customers use possessive statements, ask questions about the products and touch, but yet most tines they don't buy anymore, mostly because of price and I use to feel that they don't appreciate my products enough
after watching your videos am really thinking to quit my job as digital marketer and become first salesman and then eventually closer
Thank you Mr. Dan for your valuable videos as usual.
When you release a video it's like a tutor teaching every day
sir I need to know that is this rules apply for every business like my work is to sell the ladies shirts and froks for seasons and I started it before 4months before im not I properly a sales man so what should the things applied to expand my business
Hii..what would be a buying signal on a telephonic conversation while selling a luxury. A hotel membership an hardcore selling
Great lesson, what would say about B2B clients? Any different Signal?
6 i used to think about that as an objection, but thinking about it as a buying signal is way smarter!! 👍🏻
Thanks for being such a good mentor.
I thought I had a customer wanting to start a job, and when I told him I wanted xx for a deposit they ghosted me. Was that an indication I wouldn’t get paid for my work? Love the videos dan, I’ve been trying to implement some of your techniques to my Excavating business.
Price and how secure is the software and a discount on the price for the licenses, I've had two customers ask these questions
Helping and learning video for a trader and closer
I have done most of these when buying, but the salesperson has never picked up on them....and neither have I when I'm trying to sell something!
How to sell when we just start sell something ? Because we did not know a lot of people? For sb we known we call them or We just post it in our page? Thank you
I recognize the head nod.. but only as an encouraging sign, not really as a buying signal
I had no idea about them asking for the other models and color as a buying signal
Very helpful. Good job Dan.
I’ve lost sales when I start to lose interest in client when fear factored questions you mentioned like return policy and customer service quality .
