I've got my RP-500SAs mounted as elevation too. I did the front first and never was satisfied. I moved them directly over the side surrounds and wasn't yet impressed. I've got them on the rear wall now. I could use some downward tilt for certain. I'm thinking I'll have to go to a drop down mount from the ceiling. I'm not crazy about doing that from a cosmetic perspective though. But, I'll either get over it or I'll have to install in-ceiling speakers.
nice I'm just staring to upgrade my system slowly. for the last 12 years i have had the quintet from klipsch so i just got the bookshelf m41 and a new center r 52c today so I'm getting ready to upgrade my rears with these.
Aand how was the experience since you have turned them inward, compared to just straight. Im thinking myself as well to turn them inward, cause i wanna get the max out of dem. And im wondering if it makes a big difference between aimed or not aimed
Ordered the same brackets for the speakers, and they work perfect. I got my front heights and rear heights Aimed inwards towards my MLP now and i can tell a difference even without having calibrated it after the installment of the brackets. Thanks for your inspiration and now im gonna look at the store for some rubber things that you got at the bottom of the speaker to get it straight again. Conclusion. I advice this to other people as well, to, if you have your speakers very wide, to aim them inwards towards the listening position. Greetings from The netherlands ^^@@coreyskinner
I think if the speaker is pointed or tilted towards the listening position then that's the best. Thats why floor standing speakers are always toed in a little towards listening position.
Hi did you actually install this mount upside down because you wanted to be able to get close to the ceiling and could only slide the speaker plate up and not over? Any issues with the weight of your speaker ?
Thank you Corey! Would this mount work if I mounted on side walls that are tilted? Think of mounting them as my heights but to the sides and my ceiling is vaulted so the side walls are angled?
Do the main speakers drown out the Atmos speakers, because I have the same setup and rear as well, and I don’t really hear The front height Atmos much, but that could be the 3 movies I’ve watched so far
You should unplug every speaker and just keep the Atmos ones on, play a movie and see if any sound comes out of them at all. If yes then you need to boost the volume on them if not then you should check the cables or see if you have any issues.
well if you get close you can tell they are playing. Remember the Atmos sound is an immersive sound and shouldn't be very loud. If you watch my other video on how to calibrate them so all speakers output around 75db.
Don't get me wrong I'm getting these two but I don't understand the argument between object-based sound and just adding more speakers. You already have an amazing set of floor standing speakers with tweeters pointing right at you why do you feel the ceiling is important?
Because you can get better sound from the higher level of speaker. That's why they have ceiling mounted speakers for Atmos now. It's not necessarily more is better but if you placed more speakers better you'd have 9.1 speaker setup which would be amazing sound.
@@coreyskinner I have the same speakers and they used to sit on top of my towers, which at that point, I set it to Front Dolby in my AVR. Now that it's now hooked up like what you did, do I now set the AVR to Front Height instead of Front Dolby?
The first time I really noticed my top elevation speakers was during the rope descent from the helicopter in ModernWarfare II. I had to turn my head up in amazement. I guess it depends on your source material.
Do you have drywall? Did you have issues with stability of the speaker? I mean, will I remain in its position without damaging the wall or the speaker?
Hi Corey quick question where did you get the rubber bottoms to keep the speaker from going up against the wall for spacing purpose as well as vibrating?
@@77gman34 hi ok I thought it was something separate that was purchased I have some square rubber things on the back of the speaker so I’m assuming those are what he ment Thank You

Ya in ceiling are the way to go if you can swing it. Otherwise you gotta tilt then down at least 20 degrees.
Thanks. I needed the encouragement to mount my own speakers.
Yes ofcourse. They will sound so much better!

Hell ya they are great!
You mounted the brackets upside down. The flat part should be on the bottom. It would distribute the weight better too.
Yep! That's correct it's the only way to get the speakers to sit close to the ceiling.
where to buy the wall mount it
for the atmos speaker
Rockville RHSB4 Hidden Wall Mount... www.amazon.com/dp/B07TBDM2DJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Correct. The only part that's preventing the speaker from falling is the single screw on the bottom. Accident prone
Thank you for your help. Great video 🤝
Thanks for watching!
Are those meant to be placed in the front like u have them or can we place them somewhere else? Like in front of the front stage?
They are used for surround or atmos speakers. I’m using them as atmos front elevation speakers. They are directly above my front towers
Do you happen to have a link to similar mounting brackets online? The provided link no longer works. Thanks!
It will be any bracket that attaches to the wall should work just fine.
Which brackets did you use and where did you purchase them, if not directly from Klipsch?
Just purchased some today. They look like the ones I got at Home Depot for about $10.
If you look in the description below the video I have the link
Could i use these brakets to hang them on the ceiling?
yes you can although im not sure how much movement you can get out of them from the ceiling. They may not angle enough for you.
Hello!!! Do you think I could mount those same speakers with that bracket, but horizontally?
hmmm I bet you could because they are pretty solid up there, but I have never tried it.
Hi cory whats best crossover for these at front heights?
Usually 100 or 120hz
Aand how was the experience since you have turned them inward, compared to just straight. Im thinking myself as well to turn them inward, cause i wanna get the max out of dem. And im wondering if it makes a big difference between aimed or not aimed
I think turning them inward has helped because they are pointed directly at my listening position.

Can those speakers (R-41SA) be used in a old fashion 5.1 surround as side/back surround?
Yes they absolutely can! Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the video can you tell me what size screw you used on the speaker.
screw I used? ummm whatever head that fit correctly
Which elevation sound sounds better to you? Flat against the wall or tilted towards listener?
I think if the speaker is pointed or tilted towards the listening position then that's the best. Thats why floor standing speakers are always toed in a little towards listening position.
How impressed were you with these? I got these but they are getting mounted on the ceiling
I think they are pretty good overall for the price. There are better ones, but they get pretty spendy
What mounts would you recommend with Klipsch 500-sa
Any mount that can handle the weight. Just see how much they weight and look on Amazon.
Hi did you actually install this mount upside down because you wanted to be able to get close to the ceiling and could only slide the speaker plate up and not over?
Any issues with the weight of your speaker ?
Lol I see you already answered my first question any issues with it handling the weight ?
No problem with the weight at all. And yes I installed them upside down to get them close to the ceiling.
Thank you Corey! Would this mount work if I mounted on side walls that are tilted? Think of mounting them as my heights but to the sides and my ceiling is vaulted so the side walls are angled?
Sorry for the delay for some reason I didn't see this. Yes I think these mounts would work on the side walls with some tilt.

Most of the time you don’t get nothing from the Atmos speakers, let alone front elevation, speakers but I guess it’s pretty cool

Where can i find these wall mounts for these speakers
Amazon, link is in the bio

yes I have drywall and have zero issues with stability. It stays completely in place with zero issues.
@@coreyskinner many thanks for confirming 👍
@@coreyskinnersorry forgot to ask, mounted straight in the drywall or on the stud?
Straight into drywall. Those drywall screws hold like 20 pounds or something

Naw when you tilt then inward because they are not square they look tilted which is completely fine. Remember tilted downwards and inwards 👍🏼
they are wonky like mine lol
lol still sound good
