Cutting a Slab Door with the Milescraft Hinge Mate 350 || Converting a Spare Closet Part 1

- I am replacing a hollow core closet door with a new, solid core door. I started with a slab door so that I could cut the hinges and door handle/latch holes out myself. To do this, I made use of my router, 2 ⅛” hole saw, 1” hole saw, the @milescraft Hinge Mate 350 jig template kit, and a @RYOBITOOLSUSA lock installation kit. In addition to cutting the hinges and latch mechanism, I cut a few additional holes for a special purpose specifically for the closet project I'm doing.

Thanks for demonstrating how to use the template. There is nothing more explanatory than actually seeing a tool being used. 👍🏼👍🏼
Excellent video, key details are very well explained. I need to tackle a 6 doors project and this video made me feel more confident. Thank you.
Never drill all the way through a door with a hole saw. You want to go deep enough that the pilot bit goes through, then complete the cut from the other side, using the pilot hole to center your bit, for a clean cut. 10:59 you can see all the wood that broke off when he drilled all the way through that may or may not get covered by the hardware.
i was watching him destroy that door
