I wanted to introduce my mother to yoga because it's really helped my anxiety, so I think it could help hers. We just did this video together before bed. We finished with some lotion and lavender oil, and made some herbal tea and a bedtime snack of hummus and veggies. Such a positive and relaxing way to get ready for bed. Now my mother wants to do more of your videos with me. She really liked how positive you are and how much emphasis you place on self care. So I wanted to say thank you. :)

You might also like the benefits of wearing orange or amber colored sunglasses 2 to 3 hours before bed. They prevent your eyes from seeing any blue spectrum light (like the fridge light) and aid in your body producing more melatonin naturally, which results in a better nights sleep.

Adriene, I just wanted to say thank you for this video. I have awful plantar's facitis. I was told by an orthopedic doctor that if I didn't fix this now I would likely not be able to walk at all by the time I am 40. I am only 29 now. I refused to let that be what happened to me. I have been doing this video every day for a month in combination with months of physical therapy and dry needling, and the muscles are strong enough in my feet that I am starting to feel better finally. I have slept better in this last month than I have in years. Thank you Adriene!

This is an awesome video and for PF, please also consider adding basic calf stretches and massage. Tight calves "pull up" on all the related tendons and ligaments, which include our feet. My PF was so bad, I fell when getting out of bed one morning. Chiros worked exclusively on my feet, heels, etc. One massage therapist finally told me about the calves and it SAVED ME! My favorite tool is the basic massage stick. Roll down from behind the knee to achilles and really focus on the hot spots you feel. I felt that glimmer of hope within a couple days :-) I'm a long distance cyclist and my feet never get to flex, so it takes constant attention, but once I got ahead of it, not one hint of PF pain...as long as I keep up with stretches and massage :-) Good luck to us all!

Adriene, I do at least 3 hours of yoga a day which normally consists of about 2 hours of your videos. I have so much to say about yoga and you especially, but I would just like to keep this short and sweet, I LOVE this Yoga for the Feet video. I practiced it for the first time about 4 months ago, and since then, I make sure to do this sequence at least once a week. I can tell when I have not done it yet during the week because my feet definitely feel tight and like they need some intentional movement. It is nice because really listening to my body and my feet reminds me when it is time to do the video again. I also find myself using the asanas and vocabulary from this sequence in other daily practices, as I add little movements for my feet in order to find what feels good. (I guess this wasn't very short). Thank you for your love and constant attention to the YWA community.

@@meghan6438 my feet are definitely more sensitive now- i do feel a tinge of the PF sometimes more than others. when i do i try to correct whatever i was doing to "cause" it. it's not nearly the life impacting thing it was. it is really painful when in full force isn't it? i try to do yoga daily and this helps keep everything stretched. i'm glad to be back to my regular activities rather than completely focusing on my feet. i buy better shoes now and also make time for no shoes. hope you're doing better! keep working on it it does get better.

I love this video! About a month ago I fell and hurt 2 ligaments in my ankle. I have been in a boot listening to the DR but as soon as he gave to me the ok for simple exercises and stretches (ex. pointing toe hold it, use a rope to pull the foot hold for 10 sec) I found and started doing this video daily. When I started I couldn't even fully bare weight on my right foot now my ligaments and ankle are doing so much better!! The possibility of surgery is off the table and my Dr is so surprised on how quickly and overall movement and lack of pain I can now transfer out of the boot and most likely will not even need physical therapy. This video mixed with following my Dr's orders has cut my recover time in half and I didn't have to have Surgery!!! Thank you for doing what you do Adriene you are very much appreciated.

I just started ballet again after a long time... I used to dance when I was younger and then I stopped. I've been trying to get back into it all in the past 10 years but it's been on and off due to some physical pain or other. This year I decided it was yoga first for a couple of months to strengthen my back and I finally got rid of my hip pain and sciatica! 💗 Now I am able to walk without pain... and it was time to start dancing again 😀 but of course this will take a toll on a few other places until I get back the strength in my muscles...one of which is my feet. My feet felt fantastic after this video 💖 and I followed it up with an additional massage with some lavender essential oil. The basic thing here is that whatever it is I'm looking for, Adriene has it! Thank you for giving me my life back 💕

ADRIENNE! I NEED MORE OF THESE! I am so grateful to have found these!
I’ve done yoga every day for 8 years (and started following you about 3 years ago). One year ago I dislocated my shoulder and doctors still haven’t been able to figure out how to fix it. I have been so frustrated trying to substitute alternate poses and killing the flow, I’ve stopped doing yoga. Yoga is the only thing that kept me sane and I struggle with mental illness and it was my salvation

I loved todays practice, was actually so happy to see it next in queue when I did yesterdays video. I'm a student teacher in an elementary school in Canada and today we celebrated the life of a young man by the name of Terry Fox who's mission it was to run across the whole of Canada in support of cancer research after being diagnosed with cancer in his leg at the age of 18. He made it almost the entirety of the way before unfortunately losing the battle as it spread to his lungs. We have celebrated this day for YEARS in Canada by running/waling for Terry on the day of his passing. I was so honoured to see this practice today because it reminded me of Terry; how much he used his beautiful feet as well as his heart to carry him on his mission. The feet are so important and even though I have an "ok relationship" with my feet, looks wise, I'm still so thankful for them. They take me places! Thank you for promoting foot love and foot care! Now I need a pedicure ;)
In all honesty, a wonderful and gentle practice. Thank you Adrienne.

Thank you for doing this! I was nervous, I got a pinched nerve in my left foot almost 2 years ago. It's been so frustrating, and I have basically given up on the doctors as they haven't unfortunately been able to help. I needed this to learn how to balance on my feet again, as I was overcompensating with other muscles. I took it slow, but I think this will really really help :)

I just happened upon this video as I was going for Honor day 10. I am happy to have done it, as I am one who has disliked her feet in the past and sometimes in the present. My feet are happier physically since I began doing daily yoga in March. I never really thought about toe strength before, but my feet are definitely stronger. I enjoy these sessions as I am constantly learning something.✌️

I love this one. I've done it dozens of times. I used to collapse into my feet, and I was standing a lot for work. This routine taught me to be conscious of my feet and to stand and walk with integrity from the ground up. I remember walking through the snow after doing the practice and noticing the tiny muscles in my feet and ankles working hard. Thanks Adrienne. So helpful for me. 🕉 XO

My right ankle has been hurting lately from wearing not so comfy shoes so I have really been babying it. I saw this video so I thought I'd try it. That really helped not just both of my feet but my ankle just feels like some pressure or something was released. A few of the poses were a little hard because of bad knees but for the most part I found alternative positions. I am definitely coming back to this practice. Thank you so much!

Hi Everyone,I´m experiencing a second bolt of plantar fascitis, had it on my left foot three years ago, and now on my right. I am into Yoga, Iyengar, ánd Adriene´s videos, for almost twenty years now but learning every time.
What I´ve learned so far to take care of the plantar fascitis is to take care of my roots and posture and, believe it or not, am doing mountain poses all over again as if I started anew.
This particular video has helped me alot to to realize that.
    From The Netherlands, Europe,
    Thank you Adriene.

If I don't have much time in the morning, I will just do the gentle morning stretch for beginners even though I am not new to yoga. However with this video, I couldn't stop smiling while you that said this is really good for "heeling" healing the issues of your feet. And that it will "toe-tally" totally change the yoga practice.
