How to recognize GBA SP AGS-101 vs AGS-001 differences

In this video I want to show you how I managed to buy Gameboy Advance SP AGS-101 model for cheap price. If you compare screens of two (AGS-101 vs AGS-001) you will see that 101 model uses much darker screen panel compared to 001 model.

If the screen back turns off when you press the tiny center button it is the 001

Could you take it one step further and disassemble both of them, so we can physically see how each screens look.
I purchased a pre-moded AGB-001 and the seller didn't knew wich screen it was.
It's black so it's not a front-lit AGS-001, but it may be a third party screen still... Seeing the whole screenas a separate part, would be the best way to recognise each screen...

I found a pearl blue GBA sp on eBay, but the sticker says ags-001 and the screen doesn't look dark can you tell me which one it is, ags-001 or ags-101?

It's obviously ags-001. It says so on the sticker and the screen looks like the ags-001. Why the confusion?

I have two SPs, a Toys R Us Pearl Green AGS-001, and a Pearl Blue AGS-101, but both screens looks like the 001, even though the Pearl Blue one has a AGS-101 serial number.

if you bought it from a non official seller it could be a new shell and be a gba 001 with a gba 101 sticker

@@messageman4562 Not possible. Its screen is noticably brighter than my 001 (which I know for sure is actually a 001), which I got at Toys R Us MANY years ago. But even though my 101 is brighter and more saturated, it doesn't have multiple brightness levels like it should.

Funny thing is I have two AGS-001 systems, one plain silver and one Tribal and the tribal has a much brighter screen... however they are both silvery reflective (not black in the light) and no variable brightness.
