  • Find out why the Porsche 997 GTS is worth the money over a Carrera 2S.
In this episode of ANSWRD, Jibran shows us his Porsche 997 GTS which he picked up a few months ago after selling his 2016 Mazda Miata ND Club Edition with BBS package.
Before the Miata Jibran had a Porsche 911 996 which he tracked along and got a lot of attention with his GT3 wing.
ANSWRD is a series of car reviews by real owners. Not automotive journalists like Chris Harris, Doug Demuro or The Straight Pipes. Cars in this series include the Gaglardi Vex, Porsche 911 GT3, McLaren 600LT, Ferrari F12/F430 and 458 Italia, Acura NSX, Corvette, FRS, BMWs, Drift Cars and others!

Down to earth dude who can articulate what he likes and what he doesn't. And doesn't regurgitate shit he reads in magazines....10/10.

Great thoughts - agree with so much - the 987/997.2 is such a high water mark.

They are great cars! I love my 997.2 GTS. Has the Aerokit and sport bucket seats but PDK. So much fun.

Wow crazy rare car. Out of hundreds of 997's on autotrader there are 8 997 GTS as of this post. I love the widebody but do not like AWD, I'm sure I'll end up with a 991 just due to supply...lots of those!

I'm eyeing the GTS. Best video up on the 997.2 right now. Thanks for posting.

Not worth the premium. These things are going for $75k on the low end to $90/95k on the high end. That's manual turbo, GT3 money. ... Hard pass! GTS is a C2S/C4S with the optional, now standard X51 power kit. Get a C4S or C2S for $40 - $60k , drop $10k in aftermarket part and you'll be satisfied. Not only will you have equal or more power but you will also have superior parts. Porsche's aftermarket support is quality. Seriously, people only get GTS for the nameplate. Sure, if you find a stellar deal, grab it, but if not, pass; seriously, skip it.

Nothing! The ND is great but it's just not a P-Car. Check out my Miata reviews on this channel.

Fun chat while driving an amazing car. How can you afford to have a $75,000 GTS, a track car, a camping pickup, a house, cameras, modifications, and on and on? I'm jealous.

Thanks for watching Russell! Hard work in the Bay Area. I hope to be able to own a cars like that and a house as well :)

Funny I'm asking the exact question right now... GTS or the C2S? GTS prices are going kind of insane right now... 15-20k more than a C2S...

Will hold their value really well though so resale will be strong on the GTS.

Only wide body, rear wheel drive 997 except the GT3RS and the GT2. Add the X51 kit and centerlock wheels and you have a pretty special package.

    Porsche ( apple)
    BMW (orange)
BMW is not same level as Porsche and that's why these 997 worth more than BMW in used market.
I picked up my 997 2 year ago and thier is was 2015 BMW M3 was on used car lot but I never was considered asking about it.

You said you didn't like the shifter. Add a short shift kit for $200-$300. Makes a world of difference. Also consider the GT2 carbon fiber bucket seats. Have those in my GTS and love them. Expensive but worth it imo. You already mentioned the x-over pipes for the exhaust which is a must. That stock center muffler doesn't just weigh a ton but is very restrictive on the exhaust note. If you like it now, just wait and see.....
