For awhile my 991 was my only car, and it handled commuting, home depot & grocery runs, spirited weekend driving all like a champ. Most versatile sports car of all time in my opinion.
The 911 is a fantastically practical car. I drive mine all year long (even in the Upstate NY winters) and can haul all sorts of people and cargo. I put on around 400 miles a week and the car just turned 100,000 miles--each an absolute pleasure. The car at speed is incredible and the feel one gets from driving a 911 is unmatched. And the more I beat the car (and believe me, I beat the hell out of this thing) the more it wants. All this and returning 23 mpg. An engineering marvel.
I like this video because it's outside the box. There's no bitching or complaining about options, just people enjoying the car for what it is. We need more of this.
This video production matches the stellar quality of the Porsche 911. Incredible job by the producers and directors. This is how a video promoting an exceptional vehicle should be done. It pulls you in, keeps you engaged, and makes you want to buy the car immediately!

Oddly enough, Porsche themselves started a market campaign a while back called Porsche Everyday. The company themselves pride the 911 in being a everyday supercar, and post videos and images and encourages owners to use 911s as everyday cars. The spirit of the 911 is the all around capability. It will kill Italian exotics on the track, win loads of GT and LM competitions and still be practical & comfortable for everyday use. Who can beat that?
My 991 C2S was my daily driver for about a year, it was more than comfortable enough, but small inside and very loud with cabin rattles and tire noise. Still, I look longingly at 911s whenever I see one--I'd love to get back in one some day!
great job on both content and presentation. I think you really captured how the 911 is and how you really can use it everyday. The way it makes you feel a live and excited to drive it everyday. Never boring, always a thrill. You rev it just to feel and hear it alive in your hands. Permanent grin. great vid showing how much you really can do and how much you can pack into these cars. It does have trunk space and a small rear seat, so I don't see why it wouldn't be able to do most of what any coupe can do. If you've got the dough to buy it then you can rest assured it has a little bit of space.
My frequent trips to the home improvement store negate the 911 as an only vehicle option for me…. That and the cost of the car thing…. Still would love the opportunity one day
Golf, buying flowers, taking children to horseback riding lessons, buying donuts at a drive through window? . . . seems like if you have judgment to buy a Porsche 911, you'd have the judgment to figure out what the highest, best uses of the 911 would be and a desire to never do any of those other things.

Had a GT3 back in 2006-2008. Bought a second car as a DD, but that second just sat in the garage. Used my GT3 in my everyday and anywhere commute...
