Eventually, i got to the point of encountering Lightborn, from ECOT. To put it simply - i steamrolled their systems with THREE stellar systemcrafts (Each being named after Haru's weapons and relics). So yeah...I have no fear in Blokkats
I really like, galactic lore-wise, how there's only one connection besides the hyperlanes in the centre connecting the two halves of the galaxy after the Blokkats came through.
there are lots of usefull megastructures in this mod, like one to increase the ship cap. if you have not played true before, you need LOTS more energy then you think, just build 30 dyson spheres. the blocatt tech takes atleast 10 times the energy in upkeep
I found this out the hard way: I customized some civics to increase the amount of upkeep of ships and it ended up costing around **7000 energy** to upkeep a single NSC battleship.
Get acot and build void speres planets with like 600 pops make like 300k alloys 300k energy 100k minerals it's great lol plus acot components are even more expensive

I've been watching your playthroughs during my exam study breaks and I'm so excited for this one, have you considered doing playthroughs with a bunch of mods at once? Things can get pretty wacky.
To help with general gameplay: BUILD A SENTRY ARRAY! It’s super cheap and relatively quick to build and gives you intel on the voided systems as well as every Blokkat fleet’s location.
Blokkats - “Greetings non-intergalactic 3-dimensional peasants, we’re here to harvest the entirety of your galaxy just because and there’s nothing you can do to convince us to do otherwise or to stop us.” The Almighty Lathrix - “OHHOHOHO! YOU CAN CERTAINLY TRY TO YOU JIGGLY LIL’ CUBE CAT BOIS!!”
I like how Lathrix always tries to make the game harder and take on more challenges. yet still he almost always wins very convincingly while still saying he's a bad player.
Its a psychological thing. Most humans can't effectively identify how skilled they are at something. Like, I think my writing is shit but thus far I've really only been told good things. Or Miniature painting channels, where you've got dudes making epic pieces of art and they go "But its not great," and its infinitely better than anything their viewers can make.
Fantastic playthrough, between you and Stefan Anon trying Gigastructures, I decided to get it too. Have only two saves using it right now, several more empire ideas to explore after I get a feel for how it all works. Keep up the work! Balance as you need to, make some money and then have some fun.
Excited to see you explore this mod even more! Honestly, you shouldn't be afraid to mix even more mods into the mix as well, not just UI stuff. I know that popular civics expansion mod you've used before really adds a lot, no reason to not look at multiple things at once and just point out any interactions!
Hey could you cover ACOT after gigastructures ? It has an incredible very end game crisis, events, fallen empire super war.... It's a very well fleshed out mod now. The progression is smooth and ends up in overpowered insanity !
I played it through it with Gigas. There's big sencation of megalomania when you build 3 stellarcrafts, go to Lightborns, and whack their strongest system in 10 seconds, barely living with 2.8 systemcrafts. Yeah i had hell of a game back them
When you feel like you've fully explored gigastructures, there's another mod called "Ancient Cache of Technologies" that adds a whole lot of depth and endgame techs you should check out
Just a quick Q, if the battleship fleets were effectively a meat shield, wouldn't it have made more sense to built corvettes and have fleets of hundreds of additional targets? I know it didn't make a huge difference in the end as the solar system ships were so powerful, but I'm interested as it why you didn't go that route as they would have been cheaper & quicker to build.
So glad to see this playthrough come to a satisfying conclusion. Bit of an algorithm comment because it's half-past midnight and clever I am not, but truly, thank you for making these.
the only downside to systemcraft being their speed just makes it that much more hilarious when you get to put modded afterburners on it to make it faster than a corvette XD
I didn't notice it the first time I watched this, but the giga structural engineering mod is totally based on the Battle of the Planets episode of Invader Zim LOL
It started as a mod for better vanilla dyson spheres and such and over time, an old RP Server Elo (the retired head modder) got incorporated as the Katzen, Blokkats and Plushy Bunnies
did you know that the names of the Blokkat admirals are actually variations of discord usernames from various people? i’m in the game as a Blokkat named Blokkaniks
I really love watching these. Cat blocks is so much fun. I have really love just goibg through my day and have this playing in the backround while i work.
Always appreciate your videos. You and your playthroughs are the only reason I keep playing. Something you'll do or say makes me think of something I want to try and I'll give the game another whirl. Seriously, thanks.
Somebody needs to mod this mod so that the Nyancat song plays whenever you're zoomed in on the Blokkat fleets And now gigastructures needs a post-post Crisis where the entirety of the Blokkat fleet comes down on your galaxy at once "Any attempt to invade the Planuushins will end disastrously." *Gives them a 600000 power army* Yeah, these modders know the hearts of players
The entirety of their fleet can probably crush the galaxy from afar, or at least destroy the whole galaxy with their deceleration. So we need an expansion of the fundamental game, allowing for many galaxies so there could be a war throughout the entire local group of galaxies. Then maybe the observable universe? Then beyond? :)
Imagine trying to invade a galaxy and getting defeated by an even more insane and evil empire that took it over first.

i'd like to point out that canonically the fleets you fought and killed are effectively civilian mining vessels. Think about that for a second and think about what their purposefully designed military ships would be like (for reference, on the 2 highest difficulties they have blokk terminators, which each have 1 billion firepower and are their equivalent of CORVETTES)

@@thatregularguy it’s a mining operation. And usually nothing can resist them. I love watching this mod
Sire, have you ever heard the story of To'partz the wise? That's not the story fallen empire would tell...
For context: This session of stellaris i played with Q'gawar race: sentient, born out of geisers quartz-topaz with electrocinesis (and, as result of further progress, psychic) Monarchy Empire - Haru'qvaer's rule of brilliance (that dude being first-founder of current empire).
I found this out the hard way:
I customized some civics to increase the amount of upkeep of ships and it ended up costing around **7000 energy** to upkeep a single NSC battleship.
Thats insane. I love it.
Yep, I had a two O class dysonspheres and I wasn’t keeping up…

Would be a cool lore if the "shadow" that the stellarborne crisis have been fighting is actually the bloxcats. The 2 most powerful factions in 2 different op mods
I know this is an old comment but if you win against the stellarborne, become them, and then the blokkats spawn, you actually get an event popup from another stellarborne that pretty much says, "Hey it's the blokkats, they're cool but go fight them and see if they're worthy of joining us to fight against the dark okay? To answer your question from when you restored that one Juggernaut and it had the strike craft aura - aura's of the same type don't stack.
Also, to reach that 800k energy you needed quickly, you want to spam Kugelblitz silos. Each one increases your resource storage by roughly 20k, while also producing about 200 energy a month. Turn a system or two into Kugelblitz systems, and suddenly you can hold several million of each resource.
Lol... when I get to about 2300 and I've finished my first few gigastructures eg. Penrose/Ringworld/Sci Nexus/Strategic Coordinator I usually start spamming kugelblitzes on all my moons/asteroids and arcologies on every planet I have lol

To help with general gameplay: BUILD A SENTRY ARRAY! It’s super cheap and relatively quick to build and gives you intel on the voided systems as well as every Blokkat fleet’s location.
Blokkats - “Greetings non-intergalactic 3-dimensional peasants, we’re here to harvest the entirety of your galaxy just because and there’s nothing you can do to convince us to do otherwise or to stop us.”
The Almighty Lathrix - “OHHOHOHO!

Excited to see you explore this mod even more! Honestly, you shouldn't be afraid to mix even more mods into the mix as well, not just UI stuff.

And this was the Blokats on their LOWEST difficulty setting.
I didn't notice it the first time I watched this, but the giga structural engineering mod is totally based on the Battle of the Planets episode of Invader Zim LOL

Thanks Lath, appreciate the playthrough. Good to see, took a few days to work my way through the video.
I think your full playthroughs are my favorite
Because the full play throughs of Stelliars ARE the reason for me following Latiax. Dispite him being a follower of chaos
Somebody needs to mod this mod so that the Nyancat song plays whenever you're zoomed in on the Blokkat fleets
And now gigastructures needs a post-post Crisis where the entirety of the Blokkat fleet comes down on your galaxy at once
"Any attempt to invade the Planuushins will end disastrously."
*Gives them a 600000 power army*
Yeah, these modders know the hearts of players
The entirety of their fleet can probably crush the galaxy from afar, or at least destroy the whole galaxy with their deceleration.
So we need an expansion of the fundamental game, allowing for many galaxies so there could be a war throughout the entire local group of galaxies. Then maybe the observable universe? Then beyond? :)
Content definitely deserves a comment, I love it and hope to see more in the future. Hope this helps you with the algorithm!
