I know this is a dead thread but - I totally agree 👍 I used to talk smack about binaries, I have an actual SMG, then I tried it. It isn't about simulating full auto, it is about faster follow ups. I tried my buddy's, I would hit one steel on the pull, the other on the release. Sped up "splits" and was just all round awesome!

@Ten_Mil_Will I have a registered Thompson and an MP40. Which are both quite fun for proper full-auto. But I've been really loving the binary triggers for the MP5, too. Like you said, it's different. It's not about mag dumps and spray-n-pray like the autos tend to be. Binary is great for quick/effortless double taps and fast splits, though. I also love the ability to do a quick 1...2,3,4 with just a pull then then quick release-tap-release. I've been using it in a century AP-5p/MP5K, it's fun, but in a slightly different way than traditional full-auto.

    • @Ten_Mil_Will

@1lovesoni I just ran a few more mags through mine in binary. I like the thing more, every time I run it. The more used to it i get, the more effective it gets. Side note - that "Turk" is the shit, right? I had both options available to me: (1) H&K SP5 or (2) MKE made Century AP5p. I went with the Century for 2 reasons: (1) it is more authentic, 2 pin lower, actual milspec (2) MKE's history. I love the damn thing. I don't know about yours but mine eats wtvr I feed it with a smile. A str8up work horse that never chokes. Oh, I took my daughter to the range and gave her a Ruger Charger 8" with a binary trigger. She actually did not like it, switched it back to single shot. I was like "OH.... that must be what they mean when they say they are non binary?" 😁 GenX Dads can be embarrassing.

@@GriffXJ Any clue about if you already have a stamp for your gun? I've seen machine guns in the briefcase. Presumably you don't need an AOW and a machine gun stamp on the same gun. I have an SBR stamp for my MP5. Its legal to take the stock off your SBR and shoot it with a front vertical grip, which is technically an AOW. So is there any reason you couldn't put the SBR in the briefcase as an AOW?

I think the reason you don't get Hammer follow is because in binary mode the hammer is caught lower for the second shot so it has to travel further to make contact with the firing pin so that may be why.
