I speak to my cells every day. I gather them in a huge room, tell them how much I love them and that I know how hard they work. I then go over what our goals are (reducing visceral fat and getting to a weight where we feel good and look good), tell them all the things I've giving them to help create that (fasting, Keto, EESystem (bio-scalar tech), good supplements, weight training, walking, etc) and then I ask them to let me know what else they need to reach our goals and function more efficiently. I again send them love, send them love and even more love! When I'm NOT focused on losing weight ( my cells don't like to 'lose' anything), my body performs better. I use a Renpho scale, which lets me know my visceral fat along with many other measurements, to see where I'm at and announce to my cells when we've transformed fat into energy! Works for me. There is never one way to do anything but it is good to embrace your cells and your body and praise them for the excellent job they do. Thanks Dr. Mindy for all these great videos! P.S. I also go over with my cells what issues we want to heal and I praise them for every cure no matter how minute.

Every cell of my body is happy...
It's a Song for the cells.

    1. Go after the excess glucose by stabilizing your blood sugar. Get rid of refined carbs, eat more protein 🥩, and use healthy fats as a break.
    2. Learn how to metabolically switch.
    3. Eat in the daylight 🌞 hours ONLY. Do not eat after dark.
    4. Move your body in a natural way. Work with your hormones. Do a 20-minute daily walk 🚶‍♀ (best in the middle of the day).
    5. Detox your life.

When it comes to getting rid of refined carbs white rice needs to be eliminated too right?
We eat rice everyday. That’s how I grew up eating.
Can some one please say white rice is totally fine to eat 😩
And when dr Mindy says get rid of bad oils, is mustard oil counts as bad or good?
      Please enlighten this 🙏

    • @JosannaMonik
      @JosannaMonik 5 місяців тому +1

@@mummyduties8310 Ha ha yes white rice is a refined carb, however you might find that whole or wild rice tastes pretty good too and I believe that's a carb but not refined :). And if you do intermittent fasting, the body is a lot more forgiving. "Bad" oil is basically animal fat such as bacon (cholesterol). Mustard oil should be just fine.

Thank you so much.. You've changed my life.. I was the biggest sugar addict and i no longer drink energy drinks (had a headache for 5 days) and i am only eating healthy food. No more candy, chips and all the other horrible stuff.. I am disabled and so moving is a little difficult for me. But that being said.. i do move more than i did in a long time. I kind of gave up on myself. I lost inches and i feel awesome. More energy and i am clear in my head. I fast and i am really good at it if i say so myself haha.. I did some longer fasts and now try to stay at 36 hours of fasting which sometimes i delay until dinner. I just ate an omelet with salmon it was yummy. Good fats make such a difference too. I recently discovered your channel, and it's been really helpful. I found out about intermittent fasting about 5 years ago, but haven't been consistent or disciplined about it. And, as it turns out, I was relying on the same fasting window way too much. So it wasn't doing much for me. I was inspired by your channel to do a 72 hour fast (actually it ended up being 84 hours) and lost 7 lbs, then stuck to a 6 hour eating window for a few more days, following your advice on rebuilding my gut microbiome. I've introduced ACV into my daily routine, and am stocked up on kimchi & sauerkraut. I just broke my first 36 hour fast, and I'm already down another 5 lbs! I feel measurably better, less bloating, and so far I've been sleeping really well. I'm not expecting to do 12 lbs EVERY week, but I plan to try sticking to the alternating 36/12 plan for the next month or so, as I have well over 100lbs to lose. Thank you for making this knowledge and practice available, I'm looking forward to reading your book ❤

What’s made me lose all over, including around my middle, is that I shifted my 6-hour eating window to earlier in the day and started to take daily afternoon hour-long walks up and down a steep hill wearing a 12-pound weighted vest around my hips. One day a week I don’t fast.
I’m eating more protein, especially as a first meal. I’m also lifting heavy weights, certainly for upper body strengthening.

On IF since 2016, the practice has become easier and easier. What's become challenging is actually to force myself to not fast once a week. My 2-8 hour window 6 days a week lately has been starting earlier in the day. I don't really watch what and how much I eat, though I eat as clean as possible. I like real food and am mindful about consuming more protein. I hope this is helpful.

Dr. Mindy .., still working on purging excess glucose, have made the switch, working w/the post-menopausal 30 day cycle. I've dropped 3 dress sizes, but mainly .., I don't miss the white stuff. Also .., discovered that I had to turn to a supplement for my thyroid .. as I wasn't quite meeting all requirements with food (running low on selenium). Once I took 5 days to stabilize the thyroid, I realized -- find a supplemental decoy for attacker cells .., then step into a 48-hour fasting at the beginning of each month, for 3 consecutive months. Following these steps, .. am then ready to heal my knees by Christmas! Losing weight daily, ready for strengthening exercises again, careful to move when cortisol hits.

If you freeze bread then toast it the blood sugar spike is greatly reduced. This works for reheating rice and potatoes too that you placed in the fridge. I make sourdough bread with ancient grains such as spelt and einkorn and these are much healthier.

I tried your trick of breaking a fast with a spoon full of peanut butter, thinking to myself "haha, no way is that going to satisfy me, coming off of an 18-hours fast", but what can i say? it WORKED! I did not feel hungry afterwards and managed to continue fasting for a few hours more. Brilliant!!! I'm in my early 50s & can't get rid of my menopausal fat. I have to fast because of money. Groceries are expensive & doesn't feed everyone. My kids are the priority. Whatever is left over is what I eat. Im not much of a snack eater either. I just like 2nds or 3rds. How would one follow your tips if you work swing shift 3p-12a? What times are good to fast & eat? I don't fall asleep til 3a and wake up in between 9a-11a to start my day all over. Don't eat until my lunch at 7:30. I do walk about 3k-5k steps a day.

I had a wonderful fast breaking smoothie with avocado, rice/pea protein powder, cocoa, honey, some fresh aronia berries and banana today and, yeah, definitely need to cut that recipe in half because I felt so utterly satisfied, full of energy and full that I couldn't eat a full second meal! 🤣
Had quite a stressful summer, and stress always brings me insomnia, so I am taking my longest break from strength training since I started with it three years ago to reduce additional stress on my body, and focusing on getting my ducks in a row in terms of proper sleep, healthy nutrition/fasting like a girl. It is super weird and uncomfortable at times that I am not working out, but I feel like right now its the right thing to do. I am focusing more on myself and relaxing with the family, enjoying the simple things, like watching my kids laughing. Reducing stress! 🎉

Dr. Mindy, I am new to your channel. You inspired me so much when I first heard you last weekend that I embarked on a 36 hrs fast right away. I repeated the 36 hrs fast this weekend too. On the scale, I lost 2.2 lbs but the strange thing is I only went into ketosis at the 22 nd hour and in the morning at the end of my fast I had a trace of ketones. The only thing I took was 5 drops of a supplement to remove intestinal microfilm. I have also followed keto for 3 years now which is no longer working. Do you have an explanation to the lack of ketones during the fast? Thank you so much for your amazing work

Hi! Dr. Mindy's book, Fast Like A Girl, has a good bit of information on the thyroid, but the generalized advice is that longer fasts are not recommended. Fast less frequently and for shorter lengths. Eat nutrient-dense food when you eat. Please make your choice based on how you are feeling.
