I made Salsa de Arbol today. I ended up adding 2 more tomatoes and a little more salt. That was perfect! Sooo good, just enough heat and spice for us. I love that I can always have ingredients for this salsa on hand all the time. I love the smoke flavor in this salsa too! Thank you, I appreciate this recipe!!
For the salsa Roja do you remove the seeds from the Chile puyas & chile morita? Is it standard practice to do that for all the chilies except the árbols for your recipes?

New subscriber here 🎉 I made your Salsa Roja…oh man! This was fantastic! The smokiness and flavor were/are off the charts. I did add two extra Roma tomatoes, one extra garlic clove, and used only three chili de Arbol, but again, this was spectacular. I only wish it were a tad more chunky, but with the flavors produced, I’ll make this again and again. Thanks for showing us the way!

It’s still too cold to put out my pepper, tomato, tomatillo sets out here in Denver burbs. Onions and garlic are in the bed. We had record rain the last two days. Folks got hail, I missed it this time. I never put flats of flowers 🌸 in until the weekend after Mother’s Day. We still get frost and snow! Maybe just Pansies. They are tuff 💪👍🏻. My tulips are up. The rabbits and squirrels haven’t too many yet 🙄
Easy to find option would be a chipotle pepper from a can, or you can also find dried chipotle some places. Chipotle and morita are actually the same pepper (jalapeño), just dried/smoked at different points of ripeness. I just made a double batch of this recipe but dialed back the arbol chilis (used 15-20) but added a HUGE Serrano to the boiled ingredients, then used 3 canned chipotles (don't boil these), and a spoonful of the adobo they're packed in, annnnnd I think it might be the best sauce I've made so far. Hope that helps!

I think you should try and use a couple more cloves of garlic in the verde! It will make it seem creamier like Baja style kind of
