Sweet Lord I love these automotive adventures! My Dad was a staunch advocate of using the hell out of stuff before chucking it out. His history with blocks of wood and baling wire was legendary. Every time I watch one of these videos where an otherwise dead car is repurposed or reimagined, I smile and know that my Dad is smiling down on us all. Thank you.

@@christsogaugetrains he is planning to restore the burned goat or at least last I heard of it but some of these cars are too far gone for a proper restoration to fix right so making them drivable and getting some life back out of them is sometimes the best you can do. I own two nissan 720 4x4 pickups one is in immaculate shape with low miles for a 40yr old truck and very little rust and a few beauty marks while the other is a complete basket case with the incorrect bed that is rusted out and I can watch the passenger tire spin and the interior has been hashed in it so it will become a toy/project for me to screw around with because I don't care if I end up putting a tree through the floor or hitting a fender on something because it is too far rusted to be worth it to fix but I am still trying to give it a life instead of rotting away back into the earth.

Im a huge Buick,Pontiac and Oldsmobile fan. My Dads 1st car was a 64 Belelvedeere but his 2nd car was his favorite. 64 Pontiac Lemans 389 4brl. He paid 75 dollars for the car and all forward gears were out of it. So he drove it home 9 miles in REVERSE! 😂 He paid 50 dollars for a transmission out of a GTO. Hand buffed the car and got her running good. He and my mom had an argument and he took off like a bat outta hell and ended running the car off a bridge on na gravel road. He had 125 dollars in the best car he said he ever owned.
Mom 1st car was a 64 f85 Cutlass and then she got a 71 Cutlass, then a 71 Monte Carlo. Ive got old pictures from like 75or76 of them with these cars.

    A weapon eh? Can't wait.
JD's old Ford is looking fabulous.
Calling a 350 a small engine is met with incredulity here in the UK. It is hilarious really.
JD's perseverance is awesome. I was LMAO that he did not think to move the seat forward though. He's a learnin'. His skillset is getting bigger everyday as he is a sponge for knowledge. Way to go JD,
The quality of work you do is just right. Anymore and we would call you Derek. Any less would be dangerous. You hit the sweet spot of entertainment and it'll do perfectly.
The interior looks pretty damn good. Considering it is done with parts that don't belong, lol.
Damn, it is over. That went waaay to quickly for my liking.
It just means we are closer to the next upload.

Do many, many short trips to work any bugs out. I’ve seen plenty of “new” cars break down. Last one was a 1 year old Buick SUV where the trans unexpectedly decided to lock up on a two lane bridge at 4 pm in a small city. There is no neutral override in this model so she waited about 20 minutes for roadside assistance to arrive. Point is: Anything can break down

Hey Dalton .. the trunk and floor can be fiberglassed .. this is cheap and very strong and it makes them waterproof forever .. I have done this sparingly and it is a solid fix as long as the metal is good around the fix .. not a concord fix but when done right looks good .. I think you might have done this before but to me it works better than spare metal patches ..

Sad to see it get taken apart, but as you said, it's probably the best thing for it since there's no title...and not much car left. Hopefully, you can find a good car to put the engine in. That engine definitely deserves to be on the road again!
Loved your re-padding of the seat! My grandpa did the same trick in his old Chevy square body farm truck when I was a kid. When the duct tape wore down, we just used some more! How that truck passed inspections was beyond me, but the good state of Missouri let him keep it licensed until he sold it.

On my ‘64 Skylark, I cut the wheel wells pretty good. I used fender flares from a Geo Tracker to cover the cuts and the wider wheels. Can attach a pic or id show you, lol!!

I remember going over my grandfathers house in the 1990s and this is how he would be working on cars in his barn. Then he would take us out to the local cruise night at a diner or ice cream place. Basically throwing anything at it to get it down the road.

Good job, Jd. I like the gto interior in the Buick. Use what you got, man. The spider mag wheels definitely look good on it.
