Chris is a cool dude
As I watch your and Jenn’s videos, I think of what a wonderful treasure your daughter will have some day. I only have about a 30 second video clip of my father who passed in 2010. Your daughter will have hours and hours and hours of video.
That same exact thought crossed my mind too. When he picked that kid’s bike with training wheels…fast forward 4-5 years. Time flies and kids grow up fast.

Chris, I think you are the most productive person in the "Will It Run" category. You just get in there and "get to it". Amazing.
You have never watched ZipTies
Wow NNKH and Mustie1 on a Sunday night what a way to end the weekend 🔧👍👍
We really enjoy your show. Rescuing these old cars is a way to preserve our history.
You tackle some of the nastiest jobs with a smile and a cheery attitude. That's just one of the reasons that makes NNKH so enjoyable to watch.
Hi Chris, great video as usual. That whitewall that separated was something that you added to a black wall to make it a whitewall. I remember adding them to tires many years ago. Whitewalls were the rage for a long time. It was a cheap upgrade. I love watching your videos as you bring life back to so many neglected vehicles. John from Cape Cod
back in the day they were called "Portawalls" havent seeen those since the 70's
I put four of them on my dad’s 1952 Ford. We called the Mickey Mouse walls.

I appreciate you bringing these old vehicles to life. Love it
A lot of people make you tube will it run videos. But NNKH videos have that je ne sais quoi. This can be due to the creators personality or technical knowledge, the subject matter, even the cinematic quality. NNKH videos have all of those. A bonus is the beautiful growing family we see. Really enjoy these videos, keep them coming !
I so totally do agree with you. The 'No Nonsense' aspect is appealing where the 'Know How' is intriguing.
I think Chris makes you feel like you are along for the ride rather than an outsider watching. Similar to VGG.
I feel I have to 'Reply' on a completely off topic thought, and that is to say, I Like your Handle, @Opticaldelusion.
There were not 1,007 before you, tell me that number is relating to, IDK, maybe your birth month October and year 2008.
The problem with that is I can't imagine too many 16 year olds that are familiar with the phrase,
'je ne sais quoi'
No, I was born in 1963 😀
Couldn't agree more ! My absolute favorite channel & that's saying a lot!
Chris, just wanted to thank you for making videos. My wife generally doesn’t care for most UA-camrs I watch but she’s become a hardcore NNKH fan, she even bought each of us a hat. We love road trips and exploring so your videos are perfect for us. She really likes updates from Jen and on Autumn and of course Gus!
Hey, awesome to hear that you and your wife enjoy the channel. Thank you very much for ordering hats as well! Greatly appreciate the support. We love doing the road trips and can't wait to get doing more of that in the future again soon!
Buy that house mate, start a crowd funding thing. That’s a beautiful house
I'll give money if this becomes reality. [Good idea]
@@My_Op This old house owner agrees. He has spent the last 10 yrs! restoring an 1815/remodeled 1886, "I" house.
It's been sold already.
Boring house. Need more ground, need more cars!
He showed the inside on an earlier episode. It looked like the garage.
Watching you work your magic on all these forgotten treasures is a thing of beauty! You definitely have that no nonsense know how! The icing on the cake is when Jen and Gus make an appearance and of course Turbo. Looking forward to meet your beautiful daughter also! Keep up the great work Chris! 💪🏼👍🏼
HEY! Good morning Chris and Jen! I hope that all is good for your Baby Girl !!
I've reduced the amount of channel I'm subscribed to... But NNKH is like mental therapy for me. The work you put in to salvage these cars, is motivation for me to never give up
Yeah, I need to do that too, as I must be subscribed to 50 or more channels now, albeit not all cars, but I love the one's with the 'Will it run' in the title! It then becomes a challenge, and Chris does all he can to get them to fire once again!
Oh my God. This is unbelievable. I have been checking into the channel for the last 36 hours hoping something would pop up and I was even looking 30 minutes ago and nothing. Now I check again and I get to have my Sunday morning ☕️ with a huge dose of NNKH!!! Best day since yesterday!!!! 🤣🤣🤣 I am so glad that I found your channel about 4 weeks ago. That way everything is new, to me anyway… The knowledge and "backyard trickery" is phenomenal and better than most "taught" techniques. Keep up the great content!!!
I was surprised when that old flat head fired up. I'm glad it found a good home. That Chevelle trunk pan turned out really nice. Be well.
Those are the very old Nylon Ply tires , the separated white wall is not really part of the tire. Back then you could actually put the white wall part on separate. It was an added piece that got put on in the bead area, when the tire seated against the rim it would hold the white wall add on in place. Yup , it was a funky idea for sure !!
LOL Richard, you said what I was going to say. And the only reason I would know about the whitewalls being sold as a add-on is because I’m 73. I also bought regular gas for mowing yards for 17 cents a gallon!
@@berrystrim LOL , yes! I am 67 and have actually installed some of them. They can be difficult to keep centered, as the bead pops up it can off center them!
That's what I thought, I had seen them in old car magazines, never in life so I was not sure
I'm 70. I helped (kinda) my uncle that was a used car dealer. The name Porta Wall Brand comes to mind. Good to know we got our memories.
Port-a-walls. You can still buy them. A friend just put a set on his 1940 Ford.
That fist bump handshake was epic lol😂
Both attempts! 😂
😂 that was awkward asf
Probably sth to do with shaking hands while wearing gloves being disrespectful in some cultures.
@@diego61422 Yup, old russian custom to not shake hands with gloves on.

You've gotta love the sound of the old engines
I get so involved watching these videos that I’m actually disappointed when they end. Love it!
Man them old engines, you just can't kill them!...
Chris, This Plymouth is like the one you had on your channel from 1954. Thanks for posting.
Great work Chris, thanks for your videos. I am retired now, was a hearing aid specialist for 19 years. You might want to get some basic harbor freight ear muffs. Your 70 year old self will thank you.
Love the variety in this video. Always happy to see Chevelle content. As an owner of 2 KZ1000’s I’m looking forward to the next installment!
Love Z1 Kaw's! 👍
That carb is a testament to how bad today's gas is! Another great video- appreciate all the work!

It never fails to amaze me how many parts you have available to help you repair things.
So cool watching old tires take air.
Mikhail seems like a solid dude. Love his 'handshake' style!😅 Bet he has seen some things in his lifetime and has some great stories.
it's dirty hands handshake
This just about put a tear in my eye. I've had a 53 since 2019, a 2 door hardtop with the three piece rear glass, in basically the same shape. Life has gone steadily downhill since then, and the poor old girl has just sat, waiting on the stars to align so I can get her going again. Hearing that flat 6 run really makes me wish I could've gotten mine going. It's also really nice to see the full maintenance paper ont he glovebox door, mine was almost totally rotted away.
Sometimes I feel like you give the big friday show a chance to get views because he kind of helps you a lot but the funny thing is I still want to watch your releases first. Even if it isn't friday. You never really complain about the job, and when you do, we don't feel horrible after hearing it. Glad and happy to be on this ride with ya.
I love that you're rebuilding the existing engine. Gotta keep those old girls on the road.
This video showcased endless talent. Chris's skills of course are always impressive. The engine guy...wow what a pro. The the Chevelle guy...so passionate and knowledgable.
Good story on the old Mopar my dad had one similar in65/ 67black red trim 👌. Once the Mopar story was over I’m gone 😢. Mopar old school for life 👌🇦🇺✌️.
The body on this Plymouth was manufactured by Briggs Manufacturing who also made bodies for Packard - Chrysler bought Briggs with a loan from Prudential Insurance when Mr. Briggs died in either 1953 or 54 . Briggs had to sell in order to pay the inheritance taxes on the Briggs estate - this is one of the factors that took Packard down since Packard had to start making their own bodies once Chrysler took over.
It is so interesting to watch you rebuild junk cars and put back to road run again.
Im 70 yrs old and enjoy your vlogs.
Those whitewalls were an aftermarket item back when whitewalls were a popular option. They were more expensive, so you could buy those add ons and transfer them to you plain blackwalls to make them look good.
I seem to remember that they were called "Port-o-walls." They fit between the rim and the tire bead.
When I was teen, I got some from Z.C. Whitney and put them on my 1940 Plymouth, as the blackwalls that were on it were still good, but looked too plain for my taste.
I enjoy your enthusiasm especially.
Thank you.
Johan NEPA
396 BABY!!! Lorenzo is a master machinist. He reminds me of a shop owner I used back in the 80’s. He told me back then that remand engines were going to kill a lot of shops.
My Dad had a Plymouth Savoy when I was 16 and this episode brought back great memories of my time with him. When you aired up those old tires I thought of the Rising of the Phoenix coming back to life. It was interesting hearing about your 396 engine restoration and about restoring the trunk bottom panels. that blue 396 Chevelle was so sweet to look at and hear running. So glad you love history of heavy medal - this was a great episode.
I have been rooting for this Chevelle since you picked it up! Look forward to seeing it on the road!
Can’t think of anything more satisfying than watching years old tyres taking air n inflating!

Love the Plymouth, that was my first car when I was a kid! LOL! That 'separated' white wall is what we used to call 'Falsies'. If you couldn't afford white wall tires, all the 'reputable' auto accessory outlets (J.C. Whitney, etc.) had these rubber rings that you could install to snazz up your ride! They threw the balance off, and would flap in the breeze if not installed right. But it added 1.5 hp, and kicked the re-sale value by $5.... Hadn't seen those in years! Thanks!
Thank you for not relying on stupid 'catch phrases' and cutesy witticisms that are used over and over and over again like some channels. I won't mention names but the worst rhymes with 'Mice Flip Barrage'. I really enjoy how you don't rely on a schtick or have to pretend you're a comedian, you've found a great niche and your natural personality is compelling by itself. The bike trips through Philly are great! Keep up the good work!😉
With you on that Roscoe
funny thing is that is how a guy talks irl so it's not a catch phrase..don't be so arrogant ..why try to trash talk other channels when you can just keep your opinions to yourself, honestly i like only a handful of automotive channels b/c as a mechanic myself i can see what is true and what is for show..treat others how you want to be treated
Amen. This channel is the real deal unlike some others that rhyme with rice trip
@@alanarcher5903Well I’ll be dipped we have a hater in the house. Funny how that guy has almost 2 million subs 🤔
Greetings from Sydney NSW: Roscoe, your comment is spot on! I know many blokes who refuse to click on VGG for that very reason. And thanks for your 'mice' clue. Cheers, mate.
Chris , only watched a few of your videos up to yet , and we are hooked , already i would say you are at the top of the "will it run" guys , your knowledge is far and beyond anything I've watched to date , such a humble & polite person , love the channel , keep em coming !! 👍
Nice to see Turbo kitty doing well.
That is a cool looking rescue cat.
He was in “mouser mode” immediately
I love that generation Mopar. Nothing fancy, just transportation.
Allways clicking so fast on new NNKH videos :)
I'm impressed by your process in getting things started. The forced injectors on the Camero the other day was a good move somehow it worked. I watch your channel bc it gets interesting what you go through. U always manage to make something happen.
Wow, I would have liked to known that Plymouth was a flip.. I had a '54 Savoy 2Dr in High School. I painted the engine white...lol.. Yep, JC Whitney and I got to know each other quit well. Thanks for the show. Find a 2 Dr '53 an let me know.
That's the kind of restoration your looking for Chris Like the blue Chevelle ,Your channel is just the best Sunday morning viewing , I just really enjoy what you do ,and how you go about it
Thanks for the video first thing.and second I hope your's and Jenn baby girl is doing very well.and I agree 💯 about keeping it the original as much as possible.i really believe that everyone has really lost their minds wanting to go ls who cares I believe you can make a original 396 or whatever 60's and 70's motors even better than a ls . people always ruining the vehicle from the old days going to ls instead keeping it as it was meant to be.i am a old school guy that enjoys rebuilding older motors and trying my best to keep all of my old school vehicles old school.
I've been a subscriber for a few months now. I just wanted to say I enjoyed this video and I have enjoyed all of your videos and I still have some of the back catalogue to watch. I like the boats, the cars (of course) and the long trips to do fix and drive home videos. I like seeing the city when you do electric bike reviews and the towns and countryside you travel through on your way to get cars too. It is all great entertainment.
I would like to restore an old car myself but I know it is not likely to happen. I enjoy watching you do it and I don't care about the other comments when viewers criticize and say you did something wrong. You do you Chris. It is all good. I wish you and your wife and daughter all the best. Keep it up for as long as you can and thanks again.
Watching Chris pulling out the oil and thiught., “Sure hope that oil was under the car before the tires deflated, and not in the trunk.”
Freakin love that property! That old house was epic! Cant believe anyone would want to demolish such a beautiful building 🤦♂️
Great video mate thanks again to everyone who helped you mate
Chris, the engine whisperer...! It's sooooooo cool seeing people, you and Lorenzo, showing their love for what they do...!
Every time I go to pull my trailer out, there will not be any traffic all day, the minute i open the gate it's rush hour on a Friday! Every single time! Lol!
Hood looked almost perfect by the time u sent that 53 to its next home. Great video chris 🫡
Soon as I saw that bicycle I knew you were going to grab that for baby.
Nice find!
I'm a machinist & that is excellent work. Good job, Lorenzo
How neat would it be to restore that old bike and make it ridable again! A present for Autumn. I have one I renewed from the 60's. A Raleigh. Just need a new chain, tires, lube the races or get new bearings. Basically already the stuff you know!!
It looks like a Lil chic. I restored a fairlady years back.
Yay! its a good day when Chris uploads a new video. It amazes me you can get old cars running that have been sitting for years and maybe decades! well done 👌👍
5:10 You could do up that vintage bike for your Daughter Autumn Chris, I'm sure she will appreciate it when she is big enough to ride it.
Grab a coffee. Chris is back. Did you find Jimmy Hoffa?
Great job getting that old flathead straight-6 running again. 👍
I hope the guy that bought the old car will restore it, and not just scrap it for parts.
25:40 I think the carb are made of a Zinc Alu alloy, which was used quite a lot back in the days. it's strong and cheaper than pure aluminium.
When this car was new, white wall tires cost more than black wall tires. You could buy just the white ring, and mount it on the side of the tire when the bead was broken. The white rings were inexpensive and could be used over and over, so long as the rim diameter was the same. During the early 1950's, most rims took 15 inch tires, such as this Plymouth. By 1957, some cars started using 14 inch rims so that the car could sit closer to the ground.
You know my man is kicking himself about that coil. I know I would be
Definitely upset about it. It was a nice coil. I trashed it.
Thanks for saving that Plymouth and thanks for the update on that Chevelle. It’s going to turn out great!
7:14 that is a whitewall ring accessory
Came here to say this
Porta wall I have 3 sets
Thanks for fixing these and sending them on to better homes. So many other "will it run" guys just pull a car from one tree line and get it running and then stick it in their tree line to continue rotting. Best wishes to the family.

I started your watching your channel this past year. I am glad I stumbled across it. I am learning a lot by watching this.. Thanks!!
Best channel on youtube Chris! I hope when things go a little less hectic in your life, you"ll be able to maybe put more works into cars like you used to instead of "simply" revive them and flip them. Maybe a big project on the side like the SS but it's you who restore it... Anyway, nevertheless your channel still is awesome, the positive attitude, the knowledge, but most importantly, the passion toward your own country, its history wether it is for an old abandonned gas station or a barn ridden old car, are truly the core of this channel.
As an outsider, someone who's not from the U.S but appreciate the old "Americana", I can only salute this attitude, in a time where everything moves fast, anything comes from anywhere, and you'd be asked to not care too much about your culture unless it checks some "suffering" boxes.
Keep up the great work buddy. Wish you and Jen well, it's quite the change and the challenge to have a new little one, but she is in good hands. Given how Gus and Turbo are royals in your household, I can't imagine how your daughter could be even less! Tc
