You are an amazing woman who has done huge things on your own. The bond with your dog is fantastic. You share from your heart. Be protective . That is good.
Thank you so much, Linnea and Akela! I'm much older than you (62) but really resonate with so much of what you talk about. I'm getting ready to go out on the road myself-post having kids and a whole life as a mom in a house for 23 years...looking forward to being with Maggie dog and working remotely, wherever! Normally i stick around towns but .. on occasion when i do go camping, I stick to a rule i heard a long time ago. Always park facing out so u can drive and leave. Always only leave cheap stuff outside of the van that u do not care about or pack up at night. You never know if drunk people, if drugged out people will show up and best to always be prepared to turn 🔑 and leave. Period. Doesnt matter who you are, what protections you have. A good or bad situation, doesnt have a chance to happen if u leave it
I was on the edge of my seat to hear how the walk back from the height you two reached on your climb in the clouds went-- I am counting on the likelihood it went without incident since we are getting to watch this beautiful video with no report of difficulties. This is absolutely one of my favourite videos of yours. I don't know why, I think it might be the music and the gentle way you communicate your surroundings and the different ways youre feeling and connecting to space. Whatever it is, I'm in awe. Your videos are a daily inspiration for me. Thankyou for sharing your space and journey's with us. ♡ love from your biggest fans in Australia
This episode was valuable to me. - 69 yr old very fit female new to solo van travelling. I am pretty aware of my surroundings but you have made me feel more comfortable about my” hinky” sense of surroundings. Love that you approached your two adjacent hunters ….. I had a similar situation this past week in Canada - although I was very aware of their presence - they had no clue about me - similarly I approached - dang men are clueless sometimes lololo. We ended up having a similar passion of mountain biking …. And these my adjacent campers invited me on a ride. It was most enjoyable. Anyways I am still in search of a rescue fur companion - it will happen if is meant to be…. doing things in fear is okay and just part of our dna ….. carry on young lady.

Doing things in fear is exactly what I would call brave and courageous. It’s certainly better than not doing anything at all and beats the he11 out of coming to the end of your years and realizing you lived an adventure-less because you “played it safe.”
There is always a bit of fear/caution when traveling alone. I did small motorhome traveling and experienced it. I wanted to tell you that I think your photography skills have greatly improved. I immensely enjoyed what you have done in this video. Be happy and scritches to Akela!
🥹 at the end of every video my eyes well with happiness and joy with a little bit of sadness because I never want them to end!!! That close out song gets me every time 🥹✅💚
I say this every video, but, Akela is such a good dog! As a Mom of a daughter your age who solos a lot, and, I also did when i was younger, I really appreciated this video. It really captured so many familiar fears. I usually only remember my "adventures" now, until my daughter goes on one...then that familiar fear flares up again. Thanks for sharing this reality along with your love of wilderness ❤.
That moon footage!! So beautiful. Last night a guy pulled into my camp and tried to set up and without thinking I walked outside in the dark and was like nope, move it along 😅 Luckily he didn’t come back, but it sucks we even have to think twice when it comes to safety
Cautions fine and you can't live in fear but you seem to have a pretty good balance, we are built to be free and individual although some think we should roll up and hide in a manmade shell that's been created for us. More and more are finding liberation thanks to people like you. Good luck.
What a beautiful relationship and connection you have with your baby, Akela. She loves you so much! :) You are a good example of how much you should love your pets. They love back. God put his love in them.
"Plans are the illusion of control" - yes! I make UA-cam videos in a similar spirit as you about living full time on the road with my two cats and one of the biggest lessons for me on the road has been about the illusion of control. I can't believe how quickly the seasons are changing - that's one thing I love about being on the road, how close to nature we get to be. Also really relate to what you said about healthy fear - I'm often traveling with my partner but when I'm alone, it's just a fact that women have to be vigilant in a particular way and I also agree that we have to make space for curiosity. Sending love from my little stretch of road to yours! 💛💛💛
I usually tell myself ‘it’s their land too’ but when they’re really close I think Really? So much forest….I’d have told him my sweetie was sleeping in the van, a line I used once when a man followed me into my apartment, he quickly left! Obviously not the same but the point is not to give too much away. I agree, there are more good people than bad ones, was my mantra too. but what I have learned over the years of being ‘bold, brave and beautiful’ is that there are too many bad ones. You can live life boldly but protect your safety and (this is really important) protect your future joy by being relentlessly careful when you’re alone. Hope you had your Garmin on you the whole time they were there and… Thanks for addressing the safety factor. As an elder of the ‘traveling sisters tribe’ I appreciate you creating space to reflect. On another note: Hahaha ever since you became a videographer I am hyper aware of the shots. You have developed your skills magnificently. Even the background is often endearing. When you were rinsing the sprouts Akelas eyes were peaking over the dishes, with the flowers framing her white face ~it was so adorable!. I love seeing her run, snuggle, play…combined with the music and your story telling, perfecto! Love, love, love your content!
I really relate to you. I camp alone often and share all you talked about. Mostly, I wanna shout it loud with what you said regarding the stranger awareness. Men, you can help us here by understanding our mindset as women being alone. Just wave, say hello, let us know you are safe.
Sometimes a genuine 'hi, how are you?'...even a 'do you need anything?' can go a long way. To the solo women out there, you are quite capable of defending yourselves. A thin skinned man masquerading as something else is more of a liability than an asset during a sudden crisis. A man travelling alone (or with his dog and fishing gear) has to take the same precautions and has the same responsibilities in that scenario, he may be more physically prepared however...but the rules are the same for all of us out there. Be kind if you can and clean up after yourselves!

Beautiful video! I really admire your bravery, but please never let your guard down. I do think there are more good people then bad, but unfortunately, we live in a world with a lot of crazies. I tell our granddaughters the same thing. Stay safe and good luck with the new projects. My little dachshund watches with me and perks up and wags her tail when she sees Akela. Lol.
I know how it feels to travel alone. I traveled solo many times in Quebec province. I don't know if it is just sheer luck, or if I have a guardian angel looking after me, but I recall a few instances when I was really scared, that things could get wrong for me, and the guys were ok and just surprised to see a single woman alone in the wild. The last time, not so long ago, I was sleeping in my van, and suddenly at midnight a woke up hearing some stange noises. I looked out, hiding behind my curtains, only to see two guys that came in a pickup truck, throwing stuff in the river nearby from a coverd bridge. And once in a while, their flashlight would be directed towards my van. My dog didn't bark, and I was grateful for that. Between you and me, you don't go throwing stuff in a river in the middle of the night just for fun. I decided to stay put. I figured if I left, they would know for sure I saw them. And I was not equipped to outrun them in my 1988 Westfalia! So I decided to "play dead". And it was the right stategy. They finally left the area and I got back to sleep. 😅. But I didn't camp there the night after ! 😂
I have so much to say! 1. The hike was gorgeous ! Dogs needs first. Well done. 2. I am not sure I would have approached the hunters but who's to say? 3. Alone Again? You are never alone if you have a dog. There is a big difference in being alone (no dog.) 4. Love Love a GSD. They are the ultimate companion and so peaceful to have along on a hike. ❤ Colorado Girl
Thank you for filming yourself in this particular situation as it happened - it's nice to know I am not the only one who is very aware of what is going on around me when I am alone in my van. Sometimes I wonder if I am overreacting so seeing someone else whom I admire go through the same thoughts and looking through their binoculars is very comforting!
Yes finding a balance between paying attention to your surroundings and trying to just relax and enjoy life is tricky, but definitely more on high alert when I travel alone.
I, too, am a female solo adventurer but not quite backpacker yet. Just camping alone and hiking alone. It’s where I feel the most real and alive. I feel your videos to my soul. Thank you 🙏🏻
I always wait until Monday to start my week with you and Akela. I am working on getting my first camper and will be doing local solo trips for my safety and my husband’s sanity 😂. I will use campgrounds as boondocking is difficult for me to understand the electronics. But I cannot wait to one day run into you on the road❤️. I will be the crazy one yelling your name and trying to give you a hug🤦🏻♀️. You are an inspiration and helping me on my goal of self discovery. Thank you
Your dog is beautiful. My plan is close to yours, I’m saving and looking at vans this winter and then plan to do some traveling come spring. I, too have a husband, and also a daughter to return to in between adventures. Hopefully they will also go on some trips with me. Best wishes for wonderful and safe adventures! Perhaps next year we will all meet up somewhere. Happy trails!
Linnea, you're so freaking amazing. Your videos are always such a combination of inspiration, realism and excellent humour. Please never stop being yourself!
You are protected by beautiful energy! Your light illuminates the darkness! No harm will come to you as long as you keep that high vibration!❤️👍🏼🙏🏼❤️And so it is!
Ugh!!! I’m so excited. I’m going on my first cross country in my outback with just me and my pup. You’ve been a huge inspiration to me to just do it and not think so negative and just go for it. Thank you! U so rad
I literally was laughing out loud to myself at your last line of the video! 😂 Thank you for continuing to be an inspiration and a place of peace for me in this world-- (And also, may I say it was especially nice enjoying your rainy day video while I enjoy my own rainy morning here too💧)
I do not know what it was about that weekend but I had my scariest moment EVER on the road the night of Sept 1st. I did all the right things and in hindsight was proud of my ability to just "deal"...but a lot of 'dealing' is looking at the situation with heightened awareness but not unhealthy, paralyzing fear. I have more faith in people that I run into in the middle of nature vs. the outskirts of towns. And that is huge when I assess situations. The guy had a kind voice, kept his distance, and probably wasn't thinking when he pulled in the night before. Good job with the assessment, letting someone know what was going on, and testing the water with a peace offering-a warm drink. You are as always - amazing!
Linnea, this video was so incredibly inspiring. I needed to be reminded of everything in this video. “Do it scared,” ❤ Anytime I’ve had to face fear, I remind myself that I have prepared and am aware. Anything that happens will be beyond my control and allow fate, faith and creator take the wheel.
10 years living alone no stress....... Sometimes..... 😂😂😂😂 always driving alone visiting places alone, amazing sht I mean totally boring !!!! In the beginning was nice , in my latest times I'm getting kinda of tired to be alone !!! Wish you luck girl ❤
Your videography improves with every video. I think this was the best one yet. Your artistry with the camera is phenomenal. Thanks for making my Sunday evenings a little better.
LOVED this video !! I do a lot of solo hiking and know the feeling well, but like you said -- there's healthy fear and fear that keeps you stuck. We only need to be aware.
Once again, Thank you for sharing your journey with us, it is inspiring to see you walk through the healthy fear and approach them. I'm just heading out finally on my own with my 3 fur babies as a 64 years young solo female ready for some adventures. As always sending vibes of Blessings and Love for you and your fur baby and to Chris on his temporary leave from you. Take care and maybe some day will see you down the road.
Stunningly beautiful video, and your narration is inspiring. I played the beginning of the video about plans and life for my spouse because your observations of life were spot on. Your very wise for being so young.
Thanks so much for expressing what would actually be a preferred approach of people arriving in the dark next to you. I camped in my RV for months in the desert alone and I had to strategize in all kinds of ways so I could sleep at night and wouldn’t be prey to creepy scenarios. I had a fog horn that I was prepared to release out my window! I wonder if that would actually damage my own ears! 🤪. I wouldn’t let people driving past see me either …I hope more men recognize what a different reality it is for woman in our crazy world…and help us find more freedom in being safe.
I wish more women realized that 99.999% percent of men would come running to your rescue if someone tried to harm you, or your vehicle caught on fire, or if you were broken down on the side of the road, etc. I agree there is an etiquette violation to have someone pull up on you during the night if there are other spaces available, but to live in fear of half the human race seems like a horrible existence. I understand what you're saying, but I feel for you just the same (coming from a 6'4" 260lb male that hasn't ever been scared of another human, so a very different perspective). Statistically speaking, you literally have a greater chance of being struck by lightning than you do of being harmed by a man with whom you have no previous relationship. But don't take any chances either. When I'm out boondocking I see a fair number of lone women in vans or pulling teardrop campers and such. If they're near where I was heading anyway sometimes I'll ask if they want to share a campsite with a quiet, drug/alcohol free neighbor for their safety. If they say yes great, if they seem put off by the question I'll happily move on. Since I tend to go back to the same places over and over, I'll usually tell them that I'm going to be down the road/trail about 1/2 a mile and if they need anything they can come by anytime. And then I'm on my way, leaving them to their scented candles, yoga, vegan food, journaling, and their cat. Seems like there's almost always a cat. 🙂
@htoddgriffin4787 😀 I like how you stated if somebody pulled into your campsite right next to you, if there were other spots available, that would be a little concerning. she likes being alone. I I've woken up at a rest stops to find people parked right next to me with the whole parking lot empty. One of the first things I do is I need to get out to let my dog out. And if I can barely get my door open and people are gonna be staring at me. I find that kind of like rude. I think it's a human nature kind of thing but still. I usually just move to get my morning preparations on to leave. I like Your comments about how you understand and your insight into what we're doing, and that your casual about it and still available.
“Unhealthy fear.” I know it intimately. Unfortunately. Yes, it did keep me from doing a few things that I so wanted to do in my life. Move to Colorado or Lake Tahoe when I was 23yrs old. “Unhealthy fear.”’ It keep me from starting my career around the same time..23yrs old. Yes, at 23yrs, I was all over the place. But I did start my career at 32yrs old. Really 30 yrs because it’s a long process to be hired. I became a firefighter. FEMALE TOO! Only female for 17yrs then they hired another one. Now, I am retired after 25yrs, have a pension, insurance, life insurance & a “family” of 100 + brothers that will do anything for me. Thank GOD too. Especially now that I’m sick. I certainly need all of them now. And I used them too. When my head isn’t on right. I call them & they always get me through my BS of the moment. Lol. I think you know what I’m talking about Linnea. “Healthy Fear.” I DID THE DAMN THING!! I became the firefighter I wanted to be!! Just a short delay! Lol!! Thank you Linnea. I do hope EVERYONE WATCHES & LEARNS FROM YOU. No matter what the subject is. YOU ALWAYS BRING IT!! Stay safe! Stay healthy! 😊😉✌🏻🙏🇺🇸
GREAT video! Your visual work is just getting so darn good! I could just sit and watch your visuals - they are so beautiful! I so appreciate this video and your thoughts on alone time/caution/thoughtfulness/awareness etc....This is definitely a favorite for me! Hugs to you and Akela!
Omgsh, the last few lines, I'm cracking up. This was a great video...excellent job!! The hike was just amazingly beautiful...glad I was along. I love how you love Akela...she's a sweet beauty.
Your a joy! A joy my spirit needed, Utah came out to my camp, made excuse to arrest me then stole my van food and water, supplements also, not a criminal I even remain abstinent, so now outside mesquite NV. Reminding myself I am warm, have coffee, even something for dinner, you are truly awesome, amazing refreshing, so beautiful , I remember Kalispell Mt. -15° ,in my van building the college dorms, I love cozy, anyway your a joy and a strength, hope to see more Love peace love 2U
I like that misty fog...so pretty and cozy. I share your sentiments about traveling solo. I think I need a dog soon. This Summer I found traveling alone is actually more enjoyable to me than going on long trips with a traveling partner. Meeting others on a trip with a van/camper is my next wish. Are you ever concerned about leaving your van while on a hike? How did you find your way back in those clouds?
GIRL!…..your cinematography skills really shown on this one…..and your storytelling is great as well! I know, for certain, that your film projects coming up will be great successes! I was in clouds and then rain here near Salida CO yesterday, and was so bummed I couldn’t watch youtube. So glad I was able to connect today. Truly, this one seemed extra special. Kudos to you! 👍🏻👊🏻🙌
Thank you for this video. The fear holds me back from so much, but anytime I push through, it feels good. Healthy and unhealthy fear is something I'm going to start investigating.
Thank you so much for your inspirational videos. As a solo traveler myself, it gives me the courage to go explore. This and a cup of coffee is what I cherish. Safe travels and many new fun experiences ahead
Ew! I do NOT like that they just helped themselves to your site. You were very kind and understanding toward them, which I love; but I wish more people had the basic decency to respect others’ space and not put them in positions where they might feel uncomfortable in the first place. Great video, and thanks for sharing your experiences with us.
Such a beautiful video! I love the way you spoke to the concerns of women, it feels nice to not feel alone in those thoughts and behaviors. Also...the shots of your surroundings are absolutely stunning!
@fvsmith, I am sorry that you have lost everyone you loved. But you don't have to just sit around waiting to pass into eternity. I am guessing that you are a follower of Christ..? Pray and ask God to make His will and purpose for the time that you have left. There could very well be someone that needs you. You could possibly be the answer to someone's prayer..who knows..God does. I would like to mention a channel that I think might benefit you. It's called motivating you to win. She has boo-koodles of videos. Never Quit Never Give up God bless 😊
If I am out there and I feel uncomfortable I move on. Women are vulnerable on the road. Been out there many many years and have had good and bad experiences. It’s too bad women have to be protective of themselves daily, something a man may never feel often. I do not let it keep me from living, just take caution as much as possible. Stay smart and feel your intuition. Be protective of yourself…some of the friendliest people are predators. If they come to you and are too friendly that can be a sign sometimes of someone checking you out. Female speaking from being on the road over 45 yrs alone. Camping and motorcycling all over the county.
As soon as I saw the weather you were experiencing I knew you were in northern Utah! I climbed Mount Timp that weekend and had the same weather experience! So unique and beautiful!
Your videos are created very well. At first you scared me by your title. I thought you two split up until you said that he let you take the Star Link. I so do enjoy the two of you and the dogs. Thank you for all you do to create such inspiring videos. Continue to be safe and continue your journeys.
I remember when you installed those locks and have tried looking for them for my van. Don’t think I’m using the correct words to search. All that comes up I’m are the puck outside locks. If you can remember where you bought them from, can you add a link. Please and thank you! So glad you have extra safety measures, and of course having Akela near you! Stay safe and adventurous!
It's been a while since i watched one if your videos (due to being involved in art projects) and this one reminded me why I subscribed before. You immediately addressed a very poignant topic of not letting fear hold you back. I am currently doing my first what i consider 'real' solo trip even though i walked the camino de Frances (800+km) solo last year but you are never 'alone' there. Now i am in Madrid finding my way through filling my day well, my feelings of eating on my own and seeing the bright side of each day (rather than letting anxiety darken them). I feel i am learning so much about myself and that's at 61! I am definitely going to differentiate between healthy and unhealthy fear now. Also your filming skills are noticeably improving all the time. Bravo 👏
stoked you and akela are ok! great instincts. loved the clouds passing through the forests and the mountain peaks. continued travel mercies and blessings. 🕊

watching this (especialy the shots of Akela) with tears in my eyes, as my own white fluf King of almost 11 years old (profile pic) joined his best buddy Loki (also profile pic, passed away a year ago to the day) in heaven this past monday...
I can’t hike like that anymore. I’m older and I have an autoimmune disease. My balance blows but in gonna be out there by next year. Be safe little one! I love being alone too!
Thank you for being honest about your anxieties. I have PTSD and I'm going to have to learn how to work with that while camping. I'm also somewhat disabled. It's a challenge.
As a man, it's also rough finding myself in the situation you were in with the hunters. There is no universal right answer. For some other solo female travelers - even approaching their camp in a place like this could be perceived as a threat and could result in being bear maced or worse shot with something. Would it be justified or right on their part? absolutely not but fear makes us irrational. Personally, I'm more of the 'Minding my own business and doing my own thing over here' kind of guy. I'll return a wave or passive acknowledgement but I'm not trying to chat with strangers out in the sticks lol.
@@joshuawilliams6321 I am a women and I do not believe that it is only other women who get uncomfortable. I am aware that men feel scared and uncomfortable too with strangers or in unfamiliar places. But hey carry on with unhelpful generalizations without nuance because it makes you feel good.

thanks, Linnea, that is exactly what I needed to see at the moment! that there are still people (and dogs, of course ;)) who don't need to collect peaks but can just enjoy the road, because the road can be a goal as well
I have been following your video and you such a very nice and positive person. These traits are slowly leaving us. Thanks for your lovely video. You just a natural in this
I'm happy you shared this, I just last night had someone pull up in a place where I am normally alone, and having that fear come up and being kinda on alert, even in the background, takes some energy. I agree it's normal and I find it quite a physical, primal ape kind of thing. I find it really interesting to lay down and really observe those sensations in the body, like when there's a noise and all those nerves in your gut send out lightning fast signals of fear around the body - kinda cool in a way, but then your adrenaline is up and it's hard to sleep- haha 😄 Glad you felt safe afterwards and were able to chill and enjoy your time there ❤ Love you guys so much, from the UK x
Your videos are beautiful to watch. Appreciate you sharing your experiences good and possibly unsafe. Thankfully it worked out. Keep sharing your journey, fun to watch. ❤

Anyways I am still in search of a rescue fur companion - it will happen if is meant to be…. doing things in fear is okay and just part of our dna ….. carry on young lady.
Me too... can't "replace" Bella so have to settle for different 🙁
Your misandry is palpable

If given a choice whether to worry about my safety or do my best job to take care of the things i love for, even if it means losing my life its my duty and im not much of.a storyteller.
I dont have a comfort zone to be concerned about but i dont ever want things to get out of hand...i try to be wise about where i tread but im 41 amd still have many lessons to learn😊
Love that your sprouting! I'm saving for a van and little things like that make a huge difference.
Glad you're safe and the strangers were not creepy. Thank you for the video.
That last line! 😂 Thank you for a beautiful visit with you and Akela, as always! Yay for you both for embracing your alone time. ❤
Good luck.
Proud of you both, knowing when to be safe and turn back!
What a beautiful relationship and connection you have with your baby, Akela. She loves you so much! :) You are a good example of how much you should love your pets. They love back. God put his love in them.
I'm so happy I found you. I'm a young widow and have been thinking about going on the road. You inspire me❤
You are my kind of people. Being on this planet with you makes it more enjoyable for me. Thanks for sharing
I am in such awe of the easy silence and serenity of these videos.
I love watching you and your relationship with Akela. Best of luck in your new endeavor I hope it is all that you want it to be! ❤
Just cuz someone waves at you doesn't mean he's safe.
I don't know if waving and being friendly necessarily means they are safe. I would rely more on women's intuition.
@@SolsticeOnAnOdyssey or a firearm. I am an overlander and carry every time i go out to a remote area. I am not gambling with my life or my wife's on the grace of other ppl.
First, your outtakes are always THE BEST! Second, I really admire your bravery to face your fears with logic and determination. SHERO!
Colorado Girl
WOW! That shot of the moon you got gave me chills! Akela is a champ! ❤
It’s good you are so aware, love how you both are so snuggly together cuddling❤️
Love your videos and your relationship with Akela. Such a bond and love. Be safe 💖

Ugh!!! I’m so excited. I’m going on my first cross country in my outback with just me and my pup. You’ve been a huge inspiration to me to just do it and not think so negative and just go for it. Thank you! U so rad
I literally was laughing out loud to myself at your last line of the video! 😂 Thank you for continuing to be an inspiration and a place of peace for me in this world--
(And also, may I say it was especially nice enjoying your rainy day video while I enjoy my own rainy morning here too💧)
I do not know what it was about that weekend but I had my scariest moment EVER on the road the night of Sept 1st.
Watching you start your descent, and then realizing that you needed to return for your camera... facing your fear... so much respect!
@@htoddgriffin4787 unfortunately 1 in 5 or maybe it was 1 in 3 women are sexually assaulted sometime in their life. Someone is doing the assaulting.
Beautiful moon pictures!

Love the very ending when you say ‘I’m sure I can out run them’ haha. I reckon you could too You’re a legend!!
I just love how calming your videos are even when you have a stressful situation going on!!! I'm glad you are safe!! ❤❤❤

@fvsmith, I am sorry that you have lost everyone you loved. But you don't have to just sit around waiting to pass into eternity. I am guessing that you are a follower of Christ..? Pray and ask God to make His will and purpose for the time that you have left. There could very well be someone that needs you. Live your best life!! Your loved ones would not want you to be sad..
I, personally, hope you carry a peacemaker. I've had two serious situations that would've turned out negatively if I hadn't pulled my piece.
Bravo 👏

Dearest Linnea & Akela, as I watched your last vlog I was so proud of you for not putting yourself into any other dangerous situations, the views were amazing ❤️ & Akela loves you so much & protects you with her life too! Your both so close the bond you have is so special to see & I know that if even 1 of those guys were to upset you in anyway @ all Akela would have ripped them to peices, so I new you would have been OK? But I wasn't so sure about you climbing up so high in that bad weather & it did worry me a little, maybe you should leave those kind of experiences until the summer again hunny, because I couldn't bere to see you get hurt out there all alone & Akela did get very tired towards the end so I was pleased to see you safe back in your home again , you kept me watching all the way through it was an amazing thing for you to do all alone hunny & I am so proud & happy for you , I look forwards to your next adventure & vlog & carnt wait until your back in Chris's safe arms again as I know how much you both love each other so very much , 💖 now you take care in knowing just how much we truly love you all & enjoy everything you share with us, so for now my dear friend always stay safe & god bless you & Akela, see you soon all my love & best wishes Linda Dunn & my daughter Carly 💖 😊 xxxxxxxx
Breath of fresh air! Loved this video Linnea ~
At first glance- thought Akela was a Mountain Goat! Loved this video- "Doing the things scared"- that is right. I'm 56- and I've been called brave- thing is, I'm scared a lot- and I just keep going- one step at a time. I Love watching your videos- You inspire me and I am so glad that your channel came across my screen. Keep going- keep trusting your beautiful intuition- and leave room for that curiosity.
Love your videos. Great camera work. But more than that, your authenticity. ❤🙏🏻 And your amazing relationship with Akela. 🐾
watching this (especialy the shots of Akela) with tears in my eyes, as my own white fluf King of almost 11 years old (profile pic) joined his best buddy Loki (also profile pic, passed away a year ago to the day) in heaven this past monday...
Smart. Women think they corner the market on being uncomfortable with other people when camping alone.
Agreed!!!
@@joshuawilliams6321 I am a women and I do not believe that it is only other women who get uncomfortable. I am aware that men feel scared and uncomfortable too with strangers or in unfamiliar places. But hey carry on with unhelpful generalizations without nuance because it makes you feel good.

This man gives excellent advice. Never go over to someone's camp w/o being asked first. People are very reactive now. Be careful out there.

thanks, Linnea, that is exactly what I needed to see at the moment! that there are still people (and dogs, of course ;)) who don't need to collect peaks but can just enjoy the road, because the road can be a goal as well
There are so many weirdos out there so glad you are cautious. I think it is a bit dangerous to be hiking by yourself because of bears etc or creeps.
I have been following your video and you such a very nice and positive person. These traits are slowly leaving us. Thanks for your lovely video. You just a natural in this
Oh that's so nice of you to say - thank you so much!
Thank you, Linnea, for another awesome video. You're such an inspiration!
I love being alone with my dog and in nature, it’s perfect, thank you for another great video👍👍❤️❤️
