- I worked with senior leaders at Direct Connection to show you their brand new crate engines for 2023 to include an 1100HP E85 Hellephant, a completely new Cat 3 Hurricane turbo inline 6, and a 1500HP Monster. I want to see them bring back the last gen viper v10 with boost on it. Aftermarket people have been getting them over 2000 HP relatively easy. That engine had so much more potential they could have tapped into.
Why bother? The V10 sounds like crud and has zero advantage over the new Hemi or building an old B/RB 512-543ci stroker. All the V10 did was cost a lot of money, take up a lot of space and make a strange odd-fire blaring noise.
@@hendo337 I agree it didn't sound as good but I see alot more 2500 HP vipers then I do hemis.
So what 1500 hp? Some are making 3300 hp with the twin turbo Vipers now. The V-10 is a much more reliable engine than those V-8 Hemis which blow up ALL the time - they are fragile. In the early 2000s Dodge (under the name Chrysler) won four FIA-GT championships against the best Europe had to offer and in all those hundred or so endurance races (including 24 hour races) I think you could count the number of V-10 engine failures on one hand. Same in the US -- raced here as a Dodge or as an "SRT" the V-10 Vipers won three straight IMSA championships including an overall win at the 24 hours of Daytona. I don't recall a single retirement do to engine although it could have happened rarely I suppose?

How about a v 10 with 4 valves a cylinder, Hemispherical heads and vtech with variable intake flaps?
That’s insane Dodge has really pushed the bar up as far as hp for the street,I’m really looking forward to see the complete package when they sick it in a vehicle preferably a Challenger!!

It's called a stand alone engine management that has a sophisticated traction control system. They're actually very effective and what you'd want if you were running this kind of power.

yeah the 440 CID 2 stroke DFI v8 prototype dodge worked on. this lloks like it. I wonder what kind of porting layout this thing has. The oil injection tank must hold a few gallons of amsoil interceptor 2T becaus thats all i would use in it if I had this.

@@chrisbroome9937 No it isn't. Very few people in history will get 100% out of their street cars on the street. Most modern cars handle way better than any normally skilled person is able to drive it. The Ring times are fun to look at but mean absolutely nothing for 95% of the cars made and 99% of the drivers.

This is what I'm most interested in!
I definitely won't be maxing out a gen 5 3.0 whipple so paying up too $10k for one is crazy but if dodge can come In under $5k I can definitely justify getting one and have it ported and make the power goals without stressing the supercharger and with colder Temps then a 2.75 upper pulley and 15% lower

I doubt it or it would have already been done. Definitely would need a ton of other stuff with race gas.
That 4.5 probably soaks up more than 200hp to spin it that fast and with a turbo most of that would go to the output.
👍Awesome video.👍 I wish they could put those new e85 hellephant engines into the next generation charger and challenger (horsepower and torque detuned) alongside the hybrid, hurricane twin turbo i6 & the EV's. Nowadays when everyone get their hands on the all new 2024 dodge charger and challenger most of y'all probably swap out the hurricane twin turbo i6 for hemi v8s. That's just my opinion.

Of course it will fit/work in a hellcat . You just upgrade the drive train to Handel the power. Stronger rear end /drive shaft /better parts in transmission. There are hellcats out there making 1500 pluse HP.

When they offer hurricane crate options when I haven’t even seen a hurricane at the dealer. I just don’t know how it would come out I know if u have a wagoneer ur lifting the chassis, and with new cars and all there electronics it sucks lol.

Wow! It’s hard to decide. I wonder if you can put that 3 liter blower on a Hellcat with the engine internals the way they are? So much to choose from it’s crazy.
You can put whatever you want on any engine. Guys swap blowers all the time on stock gt500 motors and cobra motors going back to 2003. You just gotta watch around whatever power level they say the stock motor is good to. I'd rather run the stock hellcat blower though the tvs are awesome blowers just port the stock blower and that is a better choice than a 3 liter Whipple imo. I'm just a tvs guy.
Since this is a 2 stroke its would move twive the air volume as the 4 stroke v8 would. a bigger blower ot turbo would be needed. This thing is oil injected too and probably runs amsoil interceptor 2T or something like it. Klotz techniplate would stink king of funny though. I would mount it inverted in a plane if i could since it about 2.5 to 3 HP per lp power to weight.

I would run the stock oil injection system or would premix castor 927 maxima oil with the e85.I made up a homemade oil injection system with 2 outboard VRO pumps and and using a 3 gallon plastic tank full of amsoil interceptor. that oil is about 58$'ish a galoln here and somtimes i get cheaper XD-100 at walmart. Both do well and burn pretty clean too.
The DSR 15OO when I looked into it a couple months ago was 20,000$ due at time of order, and another 20,000+$ due on completion. Yeah so anyone can afford one !?

Haters in the comment section calling these turnkey engines "overpriced". This thing is basically plug and play, what you are paying for is OEM quality and convenience. Nobody is forcing you to buy this, but they are selling this because they know they have a market for it.

technically the C170 motor is the new Demon engine and it is a variant of the hellephant. There are 4 variants of the hellephant.. two are 376's with iron blocks and two are 426's with aluminum blocks. Each size has a flex fuel capable version and a regular pump gas version.
