I'm really enjoying your videos. Can you make battle comparison with feudal/castle full upg units? I think most units are used in feudal/castle, so showing imperial full upg battles often give different result.
Damage value and armor. The Japanese light infantry unit is good versus light melee units and has a higher dps against a single landsknecht same with samurai. Landsknecht however do full damage to all melee units in front of them each swing so in groups each landsknecht is hitting all 5 or so samurai or onna musha in front of it while each samurai and onna musha is only dealing damage to one landsknecht at a time. Even HRE Maa will 1v1 a landsknecht no issue but a ball of landsknecht will body a ball of HRE maa.
lands swing in an area so having a bunch of them hitting multiple targets at once stacks with the guy next to them and wipes out the army men at arms were winning 1v1 by 1 hit so they then got to double team the guy next to them
Yeah LOL! Japan got reflective armour.......... I like that the AoE4 devs have absolutely no clue?/idea about european plate armour. Its like it doesnt even exist. As usual the asian civs get all the cool techs
Japan in the game got heavy cavalry which beats the european knights too, it strays too far from history. And like you said the deflective armour makes no sense whatsoever. Irl they have small horses and poor quality iron. And knights are obviously superior on the battlefield. I think they should remove the deflective armour and the katana tech on samurais should be change to +dmg against light-armoured unit because realistically katana can barely scratch plate armour.
@@sergeandou9853No they didn't. Japanese Islande had very poor quality iron ore in very scarce quantity, barely enough to make blades. Samurai armors used lamellar armors made of wood and leather, not steel plate.
BULLSHIT ! Those big twohanded swords is difficult to maneuvre in combat, and not very effective. The area effect is overpowered imo. All the Japanese units would have won, no doubt.
No...Samurai and Bugheisa are insane especially with bannermen..he mainly showed landsknecht vs all when in reality, no one is gonna have a full army of them
Bannerman makes a world of difference with samurai
Would be interesting to see an inspired army vs. an army with a bannermen. But that is hard to pull off, I think.

That's specifically a Japanese Yari *(Japanese Spear)* Samurai, it would be better if they were using Katanas *(Japanese Sword).*
If ur talking about those samurais...they are using nodachi(a very long katana)...it is their special upgrade

So in nutshell in AOE4 Japanese units are trash , when in AOE3 they was pretty good.
