I believe the main reason why the OOTD won that 100 v 50 fight is because it was effective a 50 v 50 fight in the beginning because of pathfinding - there were a good 10 or more seconds where 10s of Ottoman spearmen were doing zero damage because they moving to get to a spot where they could fight.
Playing as the order of the dragon is simply pain, every single unit takes 2 space and their artilery is just average, I don't want to even mention how weak their economy is
also the death animation for them is dope af
pretty neat. shows that in small numbers they're not that bad to deal with, but in large numbers can be rough!
and I think even more so when there’s a human player behind making up for the pathfinding problem in larger number (the 100 v 50 fight)
AoE4's line up function is truly feels baffling for me. They always spending time on pathing, but stop weapon on their hands.

Try vs abba spears with extra range they can fight in 2 rows
should do it vs hre spearman with special upgrades and ab spearman with boot camp and special upgrades maybe donzo too
first fight was dumb, you should've not wasted one attack on the other unit and if so the single would've beaten the two's and stayed alive
