Just had a new sliding screen door put in at my apartment and immediately noticed this problem. The bug seal was catching so bad it was trying to drag the screen off track. Thanks so much for this!
I'm happy you were able to fix it. Thanks for watching 👀
I did it all by myself with your instructions. It fits great.
That's great 👍 news

Where can I find the adhesive bug seal that you are using in this video (How to trim the bug seal on a sliding screen door.) I really need your help!
We currently do not have that item on our website but if you sende an email to bestcustomscreens@gmail.com I can provide a quote
Our bug seal make a terrible noise in cold weather when shutting. Any idea how to stop that?
Thats a new one to me. If you trim in back a little maybe it will stop it. I'm thinking also maybe spray some Alum a lub on it. It's also possible it's harden from the sun, so getting a new bug to seal it should solve it. Good luck. Please circle back with is when you find a solution or not. Keep me posted. Thank you, Steve.
What part number is the bug seal strip?
We currently don't have a part number for it. Please email us at bestcustomscreens@gmail.com and we can provide a quote
How about a close-up of those notches? I'm not sure what you're talking about.
It's going to be a challenge to shoot another video right now since we take advantage of opportunities when they arise.
When I talk about notching I'm referring to the shape of your glass door. Cut or shape the bug seal to fit your door. I hope this helps
@@Bestcustomscreens Thanks. What I'm wondering is how the rubber tears in such a perfectly straight line. I thought maybe there were several "notches" that ran the length of the rubber strip and made it easy to tear in a straight line. No?
@@geki9063 there are lines that are notched. Once you cut the top end then you can just pull it to remove the excess.
