I've been a carpenter for over 30 yrs, there's always new things to learn 👍
Indeed a good carpenter is always willing to learn a better or new way.
But for every new tip I swear theres 100 DIY bullshlitz homeowner hacks and gimmicky gadgets and over thought tools to dismiss.
U never stop learning in this business I keep seeing stuff. I wish I knew 20 years ago would have made my life a lot easier. Would of made me a lot more money? Just from stupid things that you should have did differently. It's amazing. Yeah, but construction you never stop learning.
Most of this is a pile of 💩
It's admirable that you have been involved in carpentry for more than 30 years! Your dedication and perseverance have certainly produced many wonderful works. It's interesting to know that even with so much experience, you always find new things to learn. What inspired you to continue exploring and learning throughout your professional journey?
That’s impressive! It’s great to hear that you’re still finding new things to learn after all these years. The field of carpentry must have evolved quite a bit over the decades. What’s one of the most interesting or unexpected things you’ve learned recently? 😍😍
Great tips but, none are really explained and the video moves too fast ti figure most out. Some explanation of tips/tricks would be a huge help. Thanks, for the video.
You can slow down the video play back by tapping the gear in the menu.❤
Set playback speed to 25% then.
Innovation, artistry, and craftwork is well represented here. Those various skills can take decades to truly master.
I appreciate that.
I hate when home owners cover up beautiful hardwood floors with vinyl laminate flooring
Anybody who paints walls knows that you always remove the wall plates from switches and plugs.
Those circles at 330 were killing it😅😅😅
Lol the shininess on your trowel …use it ,great Idea.
They do the job so well
isn't admitting you have counterfeit coins worse than drilling a hole in a coin?
Don’t cha wish your girlfriend was freak like me! End of video played that tune!!!!! Now I can’t stop sing it!!! 😂
7:41 How to make it your last manual project...
So nice to see something new with tips I've not seen before, thank you.
Some of these are awesome! Like the guy using a can to carve scalloped edge. Cost saving idea!
Thank you for a great video.
I'm amazed I actually learned a few things thank you.
There was a few interesting tips here
7:20 - good painters would remove the switch cover before painting. That is a bad hack and very unprofessional.
Even Bad painters or hobbyists would do that...
Always wear eye protection when using a wire brush on a power tool. sharp pieces of wire go flying out. They are far more dangerous than sparks from an angle grinder.
Des génies du travail bravo
some of these tips are gonna cost people fingers
skilled workers
Frost resistant pigment? Where to get?
9:30 good luck opening that hatch a few years later when you need access to the pipes...
14:05 Bad tip, never do this. There needs to be adhesive right to the edge of the hole, as this is where the fixiings are tightened onto the tile.
Australian 5 cent coin is legal tender
5:57 How to restore the shininess of your trowel? Use an electric drill, a wire brush and rust remover! Genius! I tried for years using only wet toilet paper…😅
And no safety goggles too. If one of the brushpins flies in your eye, you are totally scr**ed.
Don't do as they do, THINK FIRST.
I just dunked it in the same solution used for restoring copper pots and the like. There are many recipes, some using electricity and some just chemical reactions.
@@zeriousvolt1245 You are absolutely correct about the safety goggles.
@@zeriousvolt1245 Do you have extensive experience using that tool? Because I do, and safety glasses are not always necessary for short-bristled, drill-powered wire wheels-especially if kept at low speeds and when aimed away from the face. Safety gear is not unconditional; for real "THINK FIRST" people, it can be discretionary.
You don't wear steel boots to cut your grass, do you? But WHAT IF the mower blade dislodges? _Accidents happen!_ No, they don't: they're caused.
@@pocket83squared u r giving terrible advice
"Replica coin"? That's an Aussie 5 cent piece, not a replica. You should see what we do with a five dollar note.
When did WD40 become a rust removal spray?
September 23rd 1953
@@kennethfox8602 It took them 40 attempts to get their water displacing formula to work, but on the 40th attempt, they got it right in a big way. WD-40 Multi Use Product was born. WD-40 stands for Water Displacement, 40th formula. That’s the name straight out of the lab book used by the chemist who developed the product.
~~Uh,really?!?! Paint Edger is for going around trim not outlet/switch covers which should be removed when painting anyway.
~~Q-TIPS? Even a DIY carpenter has wood glue&toothpicks?
Sorry I had to stop as it's all bodge jobs .
