Luckily it doesn’t have those plastic channels that run down both sides top and bottom. Absolutely horrible 😂

@@justbehandy I just installed one for a neighbor so I’m wondering when they change to this configuration? Changing out the glass to screen with this plastic trim sucks. If I had known there was another configuration I would have special ordered it.

My glass storm door will not come out, help. We took the handles off and everything and it still won’t come out.
Did you get the handle to go straight up to release the glass?
Our door, has those aluminum clips, that are supposed to hold our one piece of glass, “firmly/tightly”, into our storm door. Unfortunately, through wear and tear, usage, etc., those aluminum (or plastic), retaining clips, break, warp, or bend out, over time, allowing the large glass pane to flop around or barely stay inside the grid, and almost falling out. I’ve tried and tried, but eventually, every clip fails. Is there a solution I’m not aware of. The only solution I have, is to purchase a storm door, with a different design, a better design, without clips. Thank you.
Sounds like you have the 3000 that needs the glass surround strips removed every time. Yes they get brittle over time and need replacement. That is why I paid extra for the 4000, the mechanical system is much better. Hope that helps.
Are the serie 10 and serie 4000 the same. Thanks
Yes and No. The series 10 is built a bit better (thicker glass and aluminum)and costs more, but the hardware and mechanisms are the same. The series 4000 is Home Depot exclusive so it is more affordable for the DIYer. Hope that helps.
