How to Install Double Sliding Screen Doors That Meet in the Center

When mounting the meeting rail be sure to attach the aluminum meeting rail aka as an H channel to the side that is going to have the J hook or latch grab / plate.
On one side of the meeting rail there are notches which allow it to click into the side of the screen door where the J hook will be mounted.
Then use a self tapping screw to attach.
Also don't allow for any bowing of the channel.
If the alum meeting rail is too long, then use a hacksaw or chop saw with a blade that can cut aluminum to cut it down to required size.

Great video very informative. Just one question for clarification. On the meeting rail There is a shallow opening and a deeper opening. Which one gets fixed to the door?
The smaller opening gets a fixed to the door. The larger opening of the aluminum meeting rail allows the other screen door to slide in and out of the channel. Does this make sense?

How do you stop the doors from moving where center no longer aligns with interior center?
