You sir are the man!! This is my 3rd year at my house and I have not had any issues previously but for some reason this year my Bermuda started going out of control the past month with these winter/ early spring weeds, hoping these applications will do the trick!!
Best lesson I learned, you always dealing with the weeds the year before, and yes the yard getting better each year but you got to be attentive and discipline 👍
I followed your channel and have been treating in the fall for winter weeds. With the warm winter we are having in Austin, I'm applying round two in Janurary instead of February
I can't believe that you shop in the same Lowes that I do since I live in Ellenwood. I've been noticing some growth in my lawn. As per your guidance I put down the Lesco 19-0-7 a couple of about 6 weeks ago. Today I covered my whole lawn with Weed Stop. Just wondering with all of this warm weather whether or not I should adjust my application timetable. I have eyeballed that 0-0-7 Lesco product in Lowes for awhile but didn't know the difference between that one and the Home Depot one. Thanks for clarifying that for me.
@@billman6364 not really. I only treat with the glyphosate once the bermuda is completely dormant. I did it last year and it kill 90% of the POA. With this strange weather I'll treat in late jan or early feb or when the temps are 40 or below for a week or two.
I've got a little bit of poa and bittercrest popping up. I did put out pre-emergent but you know.. you can't get it all. About to hit the yard with image
This combo really works! No pre-em last year when we moved in and the bermuda was full of poa and other weeds. Stonewall down in Sept and again in Nov and so far havent seen many weeds. Hoping it stays that way but ready with the image if I start seeing poa again.
Man, keep up the good work. The best video I've seen someone doing that teach people how to do the stuff. Can you do the same video showing each product by season? Example: from March to Jun you cut your grass at 1.5 inch, then apply product A for weeds, product B to kill worms, product C to fertilize, etc. Subscribed to your channel. Really good stuff.
Thanks Stewie, make sure you check out my entire catalog, I’ve made those videos. Simply type into search what your looking for then type BermudaGrass central and a video will appear.
Do you have any suggestions on how I can try to identify a specific weed in my bermuda lawn? Whatever it is, it's low growing, appears to be like a vine, and has long narrow leaves. It is completely taking over parts of my yard. If I knew what it was, I could target it.
Type that into google just like you did here. There’s also a function on most phone where you snap the picture of that weed and tap a button that says identify plant.
Yes it does. Most of these store bought products recommend temps of 40 or greater. If at any point your temps stay over that consistently you are good. Product won’t be affective in freezing temps though.
@@BYDonBermudaGrassCentral I got sod Bermuda in the front and a mess in the back. Trying to keep the front looking great and get the back looking right without True green. Lol
I just ran across your video....very good info. I'm about 3 hours from your location and in probably the same zone (I'm less than an hour southeast of Huntsville, Alabama) and I've got a quick question. Today is 12/14/22....is it too late in the season to put down the Image and the Lesco 007 that you recommended?
Thanks BYD!! I’m definitely gonna be making a trip and getting this done this week. Think I’ll get myself a Christmas gift of new spreader while I’m at it.
Yes, BYD show us how you apply using the image. I have an tried to apply using their hose end spray bottle and seems hardly nothing comes out, it begins to and gets clogged. I’ve been turned off from using it because I can be out the 2+ hrs spraying an 1 1/2 acre yard. I saw your extremely slow notification. I just want to know how extreme. Thanks!
If I had to estimate a normal spend 150 fertilizer, 30 weed kill for lawns, 30 liquid iron, 40 sunniland all natural. Total 250 basic lawn care. Now I do UA-cam videos so my bill 💸 is a lot higher than that. Cost is gonna depend on what you’re trying to achieve also. If you are spending 1000’s of bucks then that’s not what the average homeowner can afford. I’ll do a video on lawn care cost first of Spring.
What was the other winter weed control you recommend? It was in a form of a liquid. I will also give this a try I'm currently seeing winter weeds in my lawn now
Okay Byd, got a question since you tailor to us homeowners and you take us to Lowe's and Home Depot. I'm out here in the west coast in California and they don't sell that particular product at my Lowe's and Home Depot. What product would you recommend for us here in the west coast. Thanks for the video it was a great lesson on winter weeds.
Look into this product or brand called Purely Organic, they have some organic options but California has prop 69 laws, hard for companies to do business there.
I thought it was too late for pre emergents? I put mine down early, or so I thought, but I'm getting a ton of weeds. Maybe product is not as effective as it's been in my garage for 2 yrs? I'm going to go get that Image stuff tho.
@@BYDonBermudaGrassCentral do you think it would be beneficial for me at all to put down some of that 0-0-7 Lesco? I already got the Image and will spray that this weekend. I'm in the Dallas area by the way so will be almost in the 80s this weekend

dont expect a miracle because image does not kill poa no matter what the label says slight yellow maybe
Totally disagree, image Red label does kill POA but at a slow rate. If you have a lawn fully infested then you’ll need multiple applications.

With all the rain 🌧️ and colder temperatures the image may not work as good. Never to late for pre emergent but it may not be as affective.

Yes, same day but I’d put down the 007 first, water it in really good, then later that day when the grass drys out I’d apply the Image.

How long before overseeding?
I do t suggest over seeding a Bermuda lawn, but if you still want to the best times are late Spring Early Summer.
What should be the process come spring time? Scalp and detach then apply pre emergent? Then wait a couple weeks and fertilize it? Thanks
At the end of this video I have a playlist that explains all of that. Get your popcorn 🍿 because there are a few videos lol 😆
Good info!!! Can I use the Crabgrass control on newly sodded (less than 6 months old) yard? Or do I just use the spray to rid the winter weeds?
If you’re talking about the Granular it’s recommended you wait at least 12 months.
I watch you but I don’t know what grass I have. I bought my house a year ago.
So you put BOTH granular AND spray it or water it down with the hose attachment you bought?
Put granular down, spray Image, wait 1-2 days to water 💦 in both. If just doing Granular then water in Asap.
